Sending word

[Hoshi Icchihara]

Hoshi Koshiba was keeping her promises to her mother. One was she wasn't going to get in too much trouble. Two was she was not going to flunk first year out. Third was to send word ever once in a while to say that she was all right. Hoshi thought this was stupid. How was she soppoed to get on with her own life if she had to keep Haruhi posted on everything she did? Hoshi rolled her eyes and sighed. "Niky-chan come here" She said and attached the letter to the bird's leg.

Translated:

Dear Haruhi,
This is like my third letter to you this year so I hope your happy. Things here are fine. Exams are coming up so we'll see if anything from class has actually stuck. Not making any promises though. I think this is a record. I have gone sevrial weeks without getting in trouble. Again I hope your happy. I just found out that we could stay for the winter holidays. Can I please, please, please, please stay? I don't want to go to the house just so you can yell at me. It's not working.

My friends are fine though my first and only trusted girl friend at this school is having a hard time with her family. Doesn't one person here have a happy family life. I guess not. I found out that she is one half of a set of twins just like me. I thought that was so cool that someone else knows how close the connection between twins is. I miss Tohoru. Don't you dare say that you miss him too. You don't even know him.

My friends Sam and Knight are better though. Sam just had his birthday which reminds me. Can you send a Cannons poster with your next letter. I want to give it to Sam along with some other things but that will have to be thought of later. All in all life is good here. Hope the same is the same for you in France? Or are you in Italy this week? I don't really care but hey it's costumary to ask questions in letters isn't it? Anyway that all I have to say.

[Haruhi Ater]

Haruhi was sitting in the living room of their condo like home when the letter came. She sighed. Hoshi seemed as angry at her as ever. At least she was writing. Haruhi it was a welcome brake from her experimenting which seemed to be getting her nowhere. It seemed she was missing something important to make the conditioner work just right but she couldn't for the life of her figure out what. Haruhi got out a quill and ink and started to from her letter to her daughter.

Translated:

Dear Hoshi:

I'm happy to hear that you are ok. When are you going to start call me mom or mother. You know I am just that to you. Well not just that, I am also your friend like I used to be. I do miss your brother, how could you say that I don't know him? Hoshi your attitude has really got to change. I got a letter the other day depicting what you did to that girl. I want you to go apologize to her. Remember our deal and there will be nothing lower than an 'A' in every subject. I should hope not anyway. No you are not staying at school for the winter holidays. Your brother has been allowed to come visit for Christmas. I will be sending you what you asked for soon.
