Pixie did not often come to the student lounge, but one step into the library and she knew it wasn't for her today. The newest students all seemed to being shown around, something just seemed to be happening in the usually quiet library. She had thought that maybe somewhere in the library would be a quiet place for her, but at the noise and people she had very quickly realised no and left. She'd gone into the next available room. The student lounge. which for once was not the den of noise that it usually was. She didn't tend to mind this place being noisey but it seemed that anyone who had though about going to the library had come here, which given it was the start of the year wasn't too many. For Pixie the bad weather outside had prompted her here, she had a nothing to do, but was looking to do anything but lingering about. She found a table near the back and sat down. She took out her book and just settled into reading.

Alexander had decided to make his way to the student lounge. The bad weather he wanted to avoid when making to the arts room. The boy hadn't minded the student lounge, but there were times when it had gotten more crowded than he would've liked. But today, as he entered the room, it had looked like there weren't many people around. However, the tables had been taken by other students, and Alex was unsure of what to do next. The Ravenclaw boy slowly made his way to one of the tables, where a girl had been reading a book. "Um... e-excuse me. Is it alright if I sit here? I promise I won't b-bother you" Alex says with a small smile, stuttering a little in his words.

Pixie was concentrating on what was in front of her, and jumped slightly at the voice next to her. She glanced to them and looked to the boy. She almost wanted to say no, but he did assure her that he wouldn't bother her, so she gave a little nod, and shifted a few of her things out of the way to show that she was happy to share the space, and just decided to not say anything. It didn't need her to speak. She could've but she didn't have to.

Alex smiled at the girl appreciatively. "Thanks," Alex says quietly before taking a seat at the table. He took out his sketchbook and his sketch pencil and gently placed them on the table. He then began to open his book and started to draw whatever had come into his mind. Hoping that the sound of his sketching wasn't too loud. He was glad that the student lounge wasn't too loud today, and it had given him some ideas and some time to think.

Pixie was rather glad that he didn't say too much else. A number of times she'd said yes to someone sitting and they'd try to engage her in conversation that she would not be able to respond to. So when the boy just started drawing, she was quite pleased for it. She looked back at her book and continued reading. She stole a few glances up at his work, but mostly was focus on her own work. It was nice to be able to just work without having to do much else.

Alex had hoped that the girl didn't mind him being on the table and that he wasn't really up for conversation as of yet. He much enjoyed the quietness as it gave him time to focus on his drawing. The Ravenclaw had been so focused on his drawing that he hadn't really thought about anything else around him. Drawing or painting had been one of his favourite things to do.
