Second Years, Lesson Two

Professor Wolf waited for the students to settle in. "Morning," he said gruffly but kindly. "Let’s start by reviewing last week’s charm. Anyone want to remind me what it was?" He pointed to a student, who answered hesitantly. "Right. Scourgify. Two points for you." Another voice offered the wand motion, and he gave a rare, tired smile. "Correct. It’s an ‘S’ motion. Another two points for you."

With a flick, the chalk lifted, and the substitute professor wrote the day’s homework on the board. "Alright, here’s what I want from you today. Answer these three questions before you leave. Shouldn’t take long." He read the list aloud: "One—name something with a lock. Two—name something that doesn’t have a lock, but really should. Three—how are you finding Charms so far?"

"You can also use any extra time to practice Scourgify again if you want. I’ll be around if you need help." He sat back at his desk, watching as the students gathered their things, quietly proud of the little progress they made even when life outside the classroom felt messy and fractured.
Homework:
Name something that has a lock.
Name something that does not have a lock, but should.
How are you finding Charms so far?

OOC Notes: Points awarded for first posters answering the questions. Five points for completing homework. Full marks given for study/attendance posts. One point for practicing last week’s spell.

Nico walked into the charms classroom and took his usual spot in the room. his gaze moved to the professor at the front of the room as the man got started on what they were doing. He raised his hand at the question. "Scourgify," he said nervously, but he was right. The professor then said a little more and then had them answer some questions before they were dismissed.

Homework:
Name something that has a lock.
A Door
Name something that does not have a lock, but should.
My art and photo collection - so people can't look at it without my permission
How are you finding Charms so far?
I'm enjoying it

After last week Hinemoa was enjoying how practical Charms was this year. She was a little disappointed not to be learning a new spell but raised her hand for both questions, pleased to be picked for the second. "An S motion!" She answered brightly, pleased to be putting a few more points in the Ravenclaw coffers. She jotted down the homework assignment quickly and handed it in before heading over to the practice plates, giving the last week's spell a few more tries until class was finished.

Name something that has a lock.
A treasure chest
Name something that does not have a lock, but should.
The box where my mum keeps the biscuits (DON'T TELL HER!)
How are you finding Charms so far?
It's fun, I like learning spells I know I'll use lots.
