Open Second Guessing

[Eliza Reynolds]

Eliza wasn't usually one for events or anything of the sorts, but she knew she had to at least give the school events a try. The Gryffindor slowly made her way down to the great hall to where the event was taking place and already Eliza had felt overwhelmed with everything. Maybe this was a bad idea, right? But Eliza was already further into the great hall and she knew there was no turning back now. The girl looked around the place to see if there was anyone familiar she could find, but this place was crowded enough she couldn't spot anyone familiar. Eliza decided to make her way to the snack table first and see if there was anything eye catching to eat.

 

[Friday Weeks]

Friday wasn't usually one to shy away from various costumes, but she was pretty happy with this one. She had put her hair up in a manner and worn a nice dress, she had fake wings on, and felt good about it. She walked into the great hall, and had come to the snacks table. It was always interesting to see what kind of costumes people wore, how much effort they put into it or not as it appeared. "Wow, you really went all out with the costume," She joked at the girl with the vampire fangs. "Stop the celebration, there's an actual vampire in the room.

Eliza smiled and chuckled at the girl's response. "I guess you can say I did," Eliza says jokingly with a grin. The Gryffindor knew maybe she should've put a little more effort in but she wasn't really one for dressing up if she was being honest. Eliza giggled a bit more when the girl made an announcement on a vampire being about. "I'm here to suck your blood" Eliza says in her best Dracula outfit. "And what's your costume? It looks pretty neat!"

Friday smirked lightly, laughed a little with the joke that the girl made. "Oh no," she joked drily to that girl said, rolling her eyes visibly at her, so the girl would see it. "I'm a forest fairy, obviously," she said, gesturing to the wings. "Maybe I should've gone for something way more obvious to indicate my costume," Friday added.

Eliza frowned a little as she watched the girl roll her eyes, maybe the girl didn't like where Eliza was going with everything. Was her joke that bad? Eliza was more taken aback by how rude the girl was going, but the Gryffindor didn't want to make a fuss as of yet unless she really needed to, though the frown on Eliza's face hadn't disappeared. "Right... A Forest fairy, sorry that's my bad for not seeing it" Eliza says unsurely by the girl. Eliza knew her vampire fit had been very basic but it had been a last-minute choice. "Did you make the outfit yourself?" Eliza asked the girl, maybe hoping that this conversation with the girl was somewhat a nice one, but the Gryffindor didn't have much hope for that.
