Faxen Lowart walked into the meeting area for the Student's Defense Association. She had decided to keep on her Gryffindor uniform complete with her shiny prefect's badge. This year, she was co-president of the SDA. Faxen was pleased with this new position and responsibility. She intended to do her absolute best for the club to make sure it was beneficial for everyone involved. The pretty brunette's co-president was a 4th year named Warren. He was a Hufflepuff like her boyfriend. Faxen had met with him before to discuss their goals and plans for the year. They had been on the same track as far as the club went. The Gryffindor prefect liked the Hufflepuff. She had a feeling they were going to be good friends.

Faxen and Warren had agreed to meet about thirty minutes earlier than the members of the club. Faxen wanted to set up the room and get everything in order before the other students arrived. The prefect arrived to the area first. Her clear, soft brown eyes scanned the room. She spotted stacked chairs in the corner. The brunette smiled and took out her wand. She flicked it at the chairs which immediately began flying across the room. They sat themselves up in a large, wide circle. Faxen nodded her head, pleased with the set up of the room. She took her seat and waited for Warren to arrive.

OOCOut of Character:
Hey everyone :D
Let Warren post first. Then, feel free to post an introduction of your character walking into the room. Let Faxen and Warren know who you are, then take a seat. Welcome to the SDA. :)

Warren woke up this morning with a fantastic feeling. Warren had always wanted a bit more adventure during his time at Hogwarts. To be perfectly fair, he did do a fairly good job at getting it. However, it was never quite what he wanted. Warren wanted to… d…d…d… duel (boy am I already apologizing for a yu-gi-oh reference).

With a hop and skip, Warren rushed to the Students Defence Association room down in the dungeon duelling chambers. Today was going to be the first meeting of the group. Warren had recently been promoted to co-president and he couldn’t wait to get started. He had many plans for the upcoming year; soon enough this would be the best club on campus.

When Warren came into the room all the chairs were in a perfect circle and Faxen was already there. Faxen was Warren’s co-president of the group. She was quite a bit more experienced, and had those Gryffindor traits that make a great leader. Warren was happy that the two were going to work together, he couldn’t have asked for a better person to learn from. The two had gotten along about the kinds of events and activities they would like to see happening as well. It was an amazing mix.

“Hey Faxen!” Warren said with a wide grin and a chipper voice. “Thanks for setting up. The place looks great.” He took a seat beside his co-president.

“So I guess all we do now is wait for everyone to come in.” He sighed. Relishing in the last few moments of piece before the circus begins and the 25 person meeting begins.

OOCOut of Character:
Hey Everyone!

Sorry for the wait but now we'd love to have your charecters come in. So please post an introduction of your character walking into the room. Let Faxen and Warren know who you are, then take a seat.

The day was rather boring and cold. The only thing that lightened the Slytherin teen was the announcement of a meeting for the SDA. She was in her second year when she discovered the inactive club and thankfully, she got to signup for her third year in Hogwarts. Artemis walked down to the Dungeons to head to the meeting place. It was good that they set it up near the Slytherin Common Room just so she'd be able to reach it faster. The blonde thought of different possibilities of what they will be learning in this club, hoping that all the time she spent thinking about joining was all worth it. It was dark and treacherous in the dungeons but regardless, Artemis walked confidently to the place where the meeting shall be held. The Slytherin looked around to see if there were people swarming around already but there were unfortunately none. Artemis walked to the doors and stepped inside slowly to do a quick scan of the room. Her blue eyes noticed how the chairs were arranged, in a circle so that all of them would be facing one another. It was nice at least, and had a comfortable surrounding. Funny to think that the place was cleaner than the dungeons themselves when they were located in the dungeons.

The chairs, as arranged, had a huge space in between all of it. Artemis' blue eyes landed on two people that were seated and strode in the room. The blonde suspected that the two were their leaders or co-presidents as others called it, just like in Quidditch where there were co-Captains. Artemis smiled at them casually, as if holding a conversation to avoid any awkwardness. "Hi, I'm Artemis Jackson. Slytherin third year." She grinned softly to the girl at first, noticing that her features were actually pretty. She had a soft look to it but she noticed the different things that they were telling her through her brown orbs. The blonde cocked her head to the side, whilst she remembered that she was the brunette from the Rumour Has It magazine. Artemis nodded to her once and turned to look at the boy. He was older, but she couldn't find the correct age to put him. Perhaps a year? Or maybe even more? Artemis flashed a grin towards both of them before sitting down next to the boy. The teenager crossed her legs and waited for the others to patiently arrive with the silence accompanying them.

Kiara yawned as she made her way along the corridors of the lower levels. She had joined up for the Student Defence Association awhile ago and was now on her way to the first meeting of this year. Even though she was alittle tired, she wanted to make sure that she got there on time, even going so far as to forgo her evening nap, which was why she was so tired now. She had this thing about going to bed late, getting up early, going to classes and then sleeping during lunch. But this meeting was ruining her whole routine. Of course she didn't actually mind she was actually quite looking forward to the group. They didn't have anything like this in Beauxbatons, they had some sorts of defensive classes, but nothing like a club for students. Theirs were more serious. Here in Hogwarts they were more for fun and games than anything else. She smiled, she was going to enjoy today. She could tell. She turned the corner and looked around. It looked like a nice place from the outside. The inside was much the same aswell. She grinned and looked around at all the chairs. They must be expecting a big group it seemed. She shrugged and walked in. She smiled at One of the younger girls and then the two other students. "Bonjour, my name is Kiara Tine, I'm a fourth year Slytherin." She told them before taking a seat on one of the chairs.

Being a Slytherin, Justin knew his way around the Dungeons, which meant he knew exactly where the Duelling Chamber was. He yawned as he way to the Duelling Chambers, he hadn't been there many times at all, but he knew where it was, so he didn't get lost or anything, he only took his him because he was bored, since he was walking alone, thanks to a certain Slytherin blonde that went by the name Kiara. That brat, how dare she leave without him, she was supposed to be his 'husband', and she was failing horribly. As usual the corridors were dark and cool, which helped the headache that he been threatening to show its ugly face for the past three hours, it was because of the cold walls of the Slytherin dormitary, which was weird because the cold dungeons were now helping his headache, but then again, he wasn't resting his head against these cold walls. Sometimes he hated being a Slytherin, you could never escape headaches caused by the cold lake chilling the stone walls of the common room.

Justin rolled his eyes and opened the door, entering the meeting area and looking around, seeing two familiar faces, one being Kiara, and the other the girl he met at the pitch, he had no idea what her name was, but right now he didn't really care, he was here to introduce himself, not re-met some girl that he was quite sure was on the Slytherin Quidditch Team, which probably meant he'd have to get to know her sometime, but for now he was completely fine with ignoring her and wondering over to Kiara and smiling at the two he didn't recognise, they were probably to leaders, or 'co-captains' as they were called. There were a lot of chairs, which meant more people, and judging by the number of chairs, it was going to be a lot of people. "Hey, I'm Justin Kuya, I'm a Fourth year Slytherin." He said casually, not really sure what they were expecting. With a small shrug he sat down next to Kiara, she was the only one he knew here, so he wanted to stay close, talking to complete strangers for no apparent reason was not something he liked to do regularly.

Normally Minoas didn't really participate in school's clubs. Despite the inviting sound of their names, they usually tend to be just simple meeting for the members to chill out and talk. It wasn't anything wrong with socializing and get to know other people in the castle but he prefered to spend the limited free time that his lesson were offering, on more fulfilling things. From all different kind of clubs that were out there, Student's Defence Association was the most appealing to him and since there was no dueling club anymore and he liked the idea of defensive magic, he decided to give it a chance and go to the first meeting. He was going to see if it was worth it and then decide if he was going to keep up with it. In addition, it could only do good to him as he was constantly searching for new ideas for his next spells and maybe he could find the kind of inspiration he was seeking, right in the duelling chamber where the meeting was going to take place.

Dungeons was the least visited place for Minoas but still he managed to find the dueling chamber easily. There were already some people inside. He knew most of them physiognomically, they were familiar faces but he didn't really knew their names. The only person that had a different kind of acquaintance was Artemis. He smiled at her before approaching the wide circle of chairs, were the rest of the people in the chamber were sitting.
"Hello everyone! Minoas Stratis is the name. I'm third year Gryffindor." he introduced himself while having a seat, next to a Slytherin. He had a look around him, studying the room. He waited as he was tapping his heel rhythmically on the floor. He couldn't help wonder what the new presidents of the club were planning for its upgrade.

Isabella walked toward the dueling chamber, her outfit was anything but girlie, which was how she was. Isabella hated skirts, and anything that was not dark colored. It was not her. She preferred lose and comfortable, but most of her looser jeans were dirty so she had on a pair of skinny jeans the color of black. She made her way toward the meeting, where it was taken place underneath that Gryffindor Prefect that the magazine ruled out to be a wh*re pretty much and doomed her to be pregnant by her seventh year. Faxen Lowart. Isabella knew that she couldn't hold being Gryffindor against her though. So, if they had a moron for the Head Girl position, doesn't mean that they were all like that. The Prefect didn't like the Head Girl for many reasons, but one of the most famous ones were her apparent hate toward people in her house. She had every right to defend her house. It was sometimes a wonder how Professor Kingsley could live with herself choosing idiots for Prefects. Isabella shrugged before she stepped inside of the room where her magenta eyes looked upon each face. There wasn't really anyone in here that she knew personally. Just some from around, classes, and one girl from Quidditch.

This would perhaps be the first time that the girl, Artemis Jackson, seen Isabella outside of the pitch. Isabella noticed how everything was decorated in the room, and she finally looked upon both of the co-presidents or leaders of this club. Stepping forward to the brunette, Isabella greeted in a monotone voice, yet had a subtle smirk to her lips, "Isabella Romanes. Slytherin sixth year, and prefect, as you know." However the other boy, younger, she didn't know. Isabella then turned so that she could go sit down, where she found an empty chair to another Slytherin. Isabella stared forward, her magenta eyes showing patience. She had plenty of patience because of what all she handled. Prefect, Quidditch and Accio! were all tough jobs to have at once. Isabella folded her arms across her chest, before she leaned her back against the chair. She had a lot to think about. She after all had a Quidditch match coming up. For all she knew, her team was not ready yet. She figured that if they did not win, then the other team would be badly damaged for winning. Isabella herself held grudges like no tomorrow. It didn't help that she was a Beater.

The Ravenclaw common room was unusually empty. The sun streamed merrily through the tall, arched windows giving the spacious room an even airier feel and causing the blue and décor to appear refine. The few occupants left in the common room were busy with studies, chess, exploding snap, or other things. At one of the tables by the windows was a fourth year student, head resting on the table as he patiently waited for the time to pass. Today way supposed to be first meeting of the club that he had just joined; the student's defence Association club. It was the first club that he had joined ever since he had started Hogwarts, and thought it may not look like it, he was extremely excited today. With a smile, the young ravenclaw, who goes by the name of Ryuuji Tsukino, quickly jumped off his seat and made his way towards the Duelling chamber. It's a long way from where he is now, so it would be better if he would start to get his feet moving. He wouldn't want to be late for this first meeting after all, giving a bad impression would not be good at all. After a minutes of walking, Ryuuji finally reached his destination. Really, no matter how many times he would go down the dungeon, he wouldn't get used with the dark and creepy feeling that it somehow gives off. He stopped in front of the door then, closing his eyes and putting his hand on his chest. His heart is racing, which is weird. "You'll be fine Ryuuji... daijoubou." He muttered continuously under his breath, before he reach to touch the cold handle of the door, and slowly opened it. He tried to make as little sound as possible, not wanting to attract too much attention then. He surveyed the room, there were other occupants already, and as far as he could see, he's the only Ravenclaw there. Taking a deep breath, Ryuuji summoned a smile on his face, trying to appear confident so as to not appear awkward. "Hajimemashite, Boku wa... I mean, I'm Ryuuji Tsukino, fourth year Ravenclaw." He bowed a full ninety degrees for a few times before he finally decided that he had enough of his bowing and proceeded to an empty seat next to a slytherin.

Kate wandered aimlessly around the castle, she had finished all her homework, she had even practiced her violin. There was nothing left for her to do.She had had walked briefly around the castle, though it wasn't that warm outside,it had started to rain outside. She had an SDA meeting later on and she was counting down the minutes. This was the first year she had joined the club, she was totally sure what to expect, she would it would be good and would it lift her from her bored mood. She made her way down to the Great Hall from the common room. She was peckish and she never ignored a hungry stomach.Since she had gone through two periods of not being able to eat food she had learned to savor it.There were few things in the world that Kate liked more the food.Music and her friends probably topped it but that was it.After a small meal she made her way down to the Dungeons. The place wasn't too bad,it was just cold and dark not exactly an attractive people to hang out but there were still a few people milling around. She found the duelling chambers easily, she walked in.There were quite a lot of people already inside. She recognized a few people "Hey,I'm Kate Moon, fifth year Hufflepuff"She said smiling quickly before sitting down next to Minoas.

Philippa had no idea what to expect from this club. She joined it because it sounded cool Kind of like a Dumbledore's army 2.0 or something. Philippa was all over that sort of stuff. Being part of a little rebellion sounded like it was way too much fun. Philippa always wanted to do something like that. Just like one of these days she swore to herself she would find herself a bad boy and marry the hell out of him. Tattoo's, leather jackets, the works. The more it made her father nervous the more she wanted him too. It was hard to tell that Philippa and Proserpina were twins sometimes. They were two different ends of the same stick. Proserpina was girly and gentle and very huggable. Philippa was sporty, rebellious, and according to some people, very beastly. So of course this would be her scene and not her sister's. Proserpina also made friends a lot faster than Pippa did. But it wasn't like Pippa wasn't trying either. She was excited to start getting more involved in school though. It sounded like a real fun time. It would be better than doing nothing and waiting for Quidditch to get going. Pippa wished there was a soccer or lacrosse team at Hogwarts. She would kill to play a round of either of those games.

"Greetings everyone! I'm Pippa Laurent! Gryffindor Third year!" Philippa greeted warmly as she entered the place where the club was meeting at. She was happy to see that a lot of people had shown up. They could soon be all her friends. Or not. It did not matter to her. It was just cool to have a lot of possible group members. She wondered if they had anymore experience in this than she did. Some of them looked much older than she did.

Samual Pace Kaster didn't like the dungeons, they were rather cold for the sun-loving Gryffindor, they even caused him to shiver, it was horrifying. He sighed and looked around, it was rather dark down here and he didn't like it, he liked the brightness of the rest of the castle, not the dreary dungoens, they were sort of scary. Sammy shook his head and continued his way to the Student Defence Association meeting, he was super excited for this, it was sure to be fantabulous! Though Sam tended to find many things fantabulous, this dungeon was not qualifying, but hopfully the meeting itself would pass with rainbow flying colours. When he reached a door, he placed his hand on it and opened it slowly, poking his head in and smiling slightly there were quite a few people here already, he recognised a few of the Fourth Years from his classes, a few students that were probably from Gryffindor, such as himself, Kate Moon the friendly Hufflepuff he had met a while ago, and a few prefects from various houses.

Sammy walked in and carefully closed the door, wishing to not pull too much attention to himself, or his curls and smiled at the room full of people, they all seemed friendly enough, no-one was killing anyone, so that was a good sign. "Hiya, I'm Sammy Kaster, and I'm a Gryffindor Fourth Year!" He said cheerfully, noticing that that was how people were introducing themselves. He was feeling quite chipper now as he sat down in an empty seat and waited silently, occasionally playing with his curls.

The meeting was going wonderfully. It was only a few moments and the room had been filled up with students who had signed up. "This is going so well!" Warren whispered to Faxen. Warren was as excited as could be. Every time a new student arrived in the room, Warren's grin was refreshed. The brunette girl nodded and smiled to members as they entered the room. She knew some of the students, but there were more that she was not familiar with. Still, it was nice to see so many students turn out for the first meeting.

Once the room was mostly full, well as full as they thought it would get, Faxen nodded at Warren. They both stood up and began to address the students. "Hi everyone, I'm Warren Hewitt, and this is Faxen Lowart and we are the co-residents of the SDA this year. We're both extremely excited to get started and can't wait to see what such a big group of students can do. However, to help us decide, what we are going to do, today's meeting will involve creating our constitution."

Warren paused for a slight moment as students started to murmur. Warren didn't quite catch all of it, however he thought he distinguished some students saying, 'what's that' and another saying, 'why would we have one?' But it didn't faze him. Faxen took over from here, continuing Warren's thoughts as she started to explain what he meant by a constitution and why it would be important.

"A constitution is the guiding document for an organization. It will clearly state what needs to be done, and what the group members expect to be done. In that way, it provides guidance, to help us know what you guys expect and want. It is something a lot of muggle school clubs do, and we figure it'll serve us well. Especially, because this year we will be making the SDA a lot more active than it was in the past. Let's start with looking at what Warren and I prepared." the prefect said with a smile.
The Hogwarts New Zealand Student Defence Association Constitution

ARTICLE I: Name of the Organization

This organization shall be known and addressed as the Student Defence Association. The officially recognized acronym shall be SDA, and will hereafter be referred to as 'the Club'.

ARTICLE II: Aims and Objectives of the Club

The aims and objectives of the Club are:
1. To promote knowledge of defensive spells and magical techniques.
2. To facilitate the practice of magical techniques needed in self-defence.
3. To provide supplementary material and knowledge compared to the standard school curriculum

ARTICLE III: Membership and Eligibility

Membership of the club is open to all wizards and witches at Hogwarts New Zealand. To become a member, the witch or wizard must sign up in the official sign up list, which will remain posted all year in the Club's room. A list of all current and active members will be maintained throughout the year.

"So this is the first part of the constitution so far. We want you guys to tell us what you would like to see changed about it. Make sure to be really nit-picky with minor details. For example, when it says, 'all wizards and witches at...' technically it means an interested Professor could sign up. Would we rather see that changed to, 'all students at...' instead? Or should we only consider someone a member, once they've attended a meeting or event? Things like that should be handled in excruciating detail."
Warren told the group. This constitution had been his idea, and Faxen had agreed that it was a splendid idea. Now, they just had to wait to hear what the members thought.

OOCOut of Character:

If a member of the SDA has yet to post, than instead of making an introductory post, we simply request they pretend they did already. This way we can move on to the next portion of the meeting.

So the way this works. If your character would like to see something different in the first three parts of the constitution, than simply repost it with those additions. Other members can choose between the various suggestions that are presented, simply by posting with your character supporting one version or another. The choice for adoption will be made based on the option with the most in character support.

I realize that this is the tamest part of the constitution. Don't worry more parts will be coming in the next update. We hope to move on in about 5 days time. So try and post before than, even if all you want to say is you like the constitution as it is.

Kiara watched as the members of the Student's Defence Association came into the room. Justin Kuya and Samual Kaster included in there. She smiled at Justin and crossed her legs in front of her as she waited for the group to assemble. There were quite a few students in this group. Of course it seemed to be the kind of group that would have alot of people to begin with. It wasn't all that surprising actually to be honest about it. Kiara knew that she definately wnated to know some classes in defence. Justin had mostly come because of her and seeing as Sammy had been getting picked on alot lately it made sense that he attend these classes. She wondered home many people got picked on by older students in this school. She found it funny sometimes about the sorts of things children got up to. She nodded along with most of the requests and only noticed one thing she wanted to change and it was the idea that Warren had mentioned. She didn't think it would be fair for the Professor's to be able to join up, so she motioned for that section to be changed.

She definately perferred her idea. "I agree with the fact that this is a student club and so I believe the constitution should state as such." She told them as she stood up and looked at the two co-presidents.

<COLOR color="#000"> Artemis was not exactly known for patience when it came to occasions like this. Her only company were the co-presidents of the club which she was not really comfortable with. So far, she was the youngest in the club even though she was a third year. No second years or below were present in the room and this made Artemis feel out of place. She swung her right foot which was over her left leg and sighed impatiently. Only almost three minutes passed when a Slytherin came in whom Artemis wasn't acquainted with. Not that she cared anyways, the girl looked like someone who she would not get along with. More students entered and Artemis only recognized Minoas whom she smiled in return as if relieved to have someone her age in the room. Next she recognized was Isabella Romanes, whom Artemis glanced at shortly whilst raising a brow. She rarely saw their Quidditch captain in the common room and mostly on the Quidditch Pitch. Perhaps that was where she was comfortable with. Kate Moon came in who she remembered dealing with last year. She looked a lot well with a vibrant smile gracing her lips. It did not take heaps of effort to notice that she was skinny in a way that was not good at all. Artemis bowed her head down and waited for the others to arrive. She could say that they were quite a number and she never knew that a lot of students were interested in defense. It was just a pity that the Dueling Club was not as active or else she would join that club too. The Slytherin's ears picked up the introduction and she turned to face the leaders of the club. Faxen Lowart and Warren Hewitt were their names, both looked eager to get started. The boy spoke of this constitution and then paused to let the murmurs flow. However, the blonde was silent and she let her own mind fill itself with only one thought. "I do hope it is important. Not some rubbish part of this meeting." The constitution was said to be important though, quoted from Faxen Lowart. Artemis interestingly leaned in forward, her elbow on her thigh whilst her head supported by the palm of her hand. She was interested what this constitution contained and what it could do for them. She looked at the other members, viewing the constitution also.

Warren Hewitt instructed them to either add, remove or suggest something to add into the constitution. The first one to make a move was a blonde Slytherin who was older than Artemis. She abruptly stood up and then motioned to the third portion. Artemis leaned back and straightened her back up whilst looking at the other parts. The third year's ears were focused on the older Slytherin's statement, knowing that she just wanted to make a move of Warren's example. Artemis just wanted to move along with the meeting. She did not want to be stuck in this constitution part. Artemis spoke up and looked at the leaders without the move to stand up. She found it useless to do so. Well might as well," Drawled Artemis and paused to point a lazy finger at the third portion of the constitution. Change that into students too." The blonde dropped her finger down and looked at all the members who were glancing at her. Artemis looked at the others who had their eyes on her, not exactly mustering what their expressions told her. The blonde shrugged and leaned forward again as she used her hands to add something that Kiara Tine wanted to change. "I agree with her. I don't think it would be fair if the professors would join us. They'll have an advantage." Professors were counted as adults and they probably have dealt with things that were difficult for students to handle. Who knew that some of them attended the club when they were still in their youth and they already knew all the things that they would discuss. Artemis shrugged as she watched the others absorb her opinion before looking down to examine her nails whilst waiting for the next opinion or suggestion that would be spoken about.

The chairs soon filled with the newcomers. It seemed that many students like him were interested in defensive magic and were willing to learn more. At first there was an awkward silence after everytime someone was introducing themselves but soon the two presidents of the club, started unfolding their plans and their ideas.
A constitution was a brilliant idea and that was showing that the two presidents were going to take their work seriously. That was positive aspect for Minoas. He usually believed that the school's clubs were only existing for social meetings. These two people looked well-organized and ready to do some good stuff. The document travelled from hand to hand until he got it in his own. Some students had already made some corrections and he agreed with them. "No professors, just us. The professors had the chance to teach us what they knew at their classes. I don't think they would benefit us by being members of the club." he stated as he was going through the constitution. It was obvious that he wasn't satisfied from what he was learning from classes. He always wanted more practical things to work with and the only protective spell that he had been taught during classes was protego. Disappointed by that, he had started studying protective magic on his own and he was even developing his own ideas.

He stopped for a moment at the aims and objectives section and took of his backpack that was resting on the floor, a quill and an ink bottle. "How about introducing our own ideas and spells. I have a couple of defensive spells that I could share with you. I'm sure that there are more of you that want as well." he said and added his own line on that section. Of course if the presidents didn't agree with his idea, they could just cross his additional suggestion. He found himself agreeing with the rest of the document and passed to the rest of them.

OOCOut of Character:
if the presidents don't agree with Minoas' suggestion they can edit it out. He could introduce a couple of his own defensive spells. It would be fun to have them roleplaying as they practise them. Just a suggestion :)
