Stella sat alone in the student lounge, buried in one of her muggle science books. She had started to study for the exams, and the stress was beginning to creep up on her. Stella loved her girlfriend and her sister, but she was an introvert at heart, and sometimes she just needed to be away from people. It was a sunny day, the first of the true summer weather coming in, so not many people were in the lounge - unlike the common room, which was full of people studying. Stella just wanted to be away from that for a bit.
After the last astronomy lesson, she was reading up on physics, wondering about why the speed of light was considered a hard limit, and whether it was possible that there were magical processes that could exceed it where science couldn't. Of course, she didn't expect to find out about the latter directly from a muggle book - but then, nor did she seem able to find it directly in wizarding books. The books about magic in the library were lamentably light on scientific detail, although Stella still fervently hoped that that was just because they were in high school, and that there were proper scientific studies of magic out in the real world. Surely she couldn't be the only one.
