Desideratus, after his last escape attempt failing, had decided that he would try and get used to this whole 'living with others' thing, but it was hard, and he was sure he would stop the attempt at trying to live here soon enough. He did not quite have another plan yet, but he was working on it. Perhaps something less amazing than building a raft, maybe something simple like running out through the forest. Although, he was not crazy, there were all sorts of dangerous stuff in that forest, and all he could do was cast lumos, and that wouldn't save anyone. He didn't want to die to escape, otherwise that defeated the whole purpose of escaping back home.
He shook his head, soon realising that this was no time to be thinking of that. He had to find Leo, his miniature Chinese Fireball, had escaped from his belongings, and was wrecking havoc on the local flora. Desideratus was not a big 'save the plants' type of person. Flowers were nice, but really, they had no use other than to look pretty and give to people when you liked them. He followed the trail of slightly singed plants, with some still slowly burning. A huge fire had no chance of breaking out, since the Liondragon was far too little, and was only a replica of the real thing. It could never do too much damage, although a little singeing was bound to occur. He paused when he spotted the little yellow and red beast, and dropped to his knees in an attempt to be able to sneak up on it. It was sitting on a branch, stamping its claws into the bark as if to soften it out. He vaguely remembered the Shopkeeper telling him to be careful with the dragon, but really, he stopped listening as soon as he saw the brilliant creature. Now, he just wanted an even bigger one! But first, he had to capture Leo without having his hair set on fire.
Tucked just beneath a bush, the young Gryffindor prepared to pounce, but as he did so, Leo must have heard something, and the palm-sized dragon took flight to another tree, right across from where Desideratus sat. The part-veela glared at his pet. He was mocking him, he could just feel it. "You wait you little scaled monster," he grumbled, standing up and preparing a full-frontal assault. He was going to drag that dragon from the tree with his bare hands if he had to.
