Sapphire was in an empty potions room today but she wasn't brewing anything. On the contrary. She had come up with a concept in class again and had wondered it possible. She had spent the grater part of her free afternoon setting up everything she needed to set up then looked around. It wasn't too hard to make a Tesla coil out of metallic found in potions tools and electricity could be generated by water. She wasn't going to use it to power anything seeing as everything in the castle that was powered by battery or electricity tended to go haywire with all the magic floating around. That and magic generated it's own energy. Sapphire was using this interesting little device to power a song. It had no words so Sapphire didn't feel bad that she couldn't sing. It wasn't the Tesla coil that went first though. It was a sort of whistle went off with steam. She allowed to coil to spark after she got the whistling rhythms right.

One by one she made each of the 'tools' start making their sound then listened. It had worked, not quite as she had expected but it had worked. All the sounds, the sparking, the rushing water, the whistle, came together to make music. Sapphire smiled softly as she added soft puff from her wand which made sounds like a piano. Sapphire kept herself like this sometimes when she had absolutely nothing that she wanted to do. It was better then replaying the things that she had been through in her head. It was better than feeling sorry for herself for being a poor little orphan girl. Listening to music, even some made by herself was better than sinking into the blackest of sorrow. Sapphire sat on a stool on one end of the potions room, from time to time, changed up the beats that where coming from her impromptu interments.
