Sam's hair was a light brown colour and had a side fringe swept over his forehead

Style: Sam is usually found wearing skinny jeans and a check shirt along with his scruffy converse. He can also be found wearing hoodies and jeans and like any other teenage boy a t-shirt and jeans. But what Sam is rarely found in tracksuits. The only time Sam would be wearing a tracksuit would be for running or sports [not quidditch]. As any sort of accessories goes Sam is found wearing a hat or sunglasses.

Personality:
Sam has quite an energetic personaility. He is very friendly and is also very caring. At times he can be quite blinded from reality from his optimism. Being a Sagitarrius I think has an effect on his personaility, many traits from the zodiac sign are shown in his personaility: Fun, Good-Humoured and Sociable. There is also the negative traits of a Sagittarius that can be seen: Blindly optimistic, careless and he can sometimes be irresponsible.
Sam is usually very upbeat and therefore is fun to be around. He is very true to himself and doesn't care much of what people think of him. Sam is generally and all-round nice guy to both his closest friends to complete strangers. He is extremely laid back and is up for anything. When Sam is playing any sort of sport he becomes very competitive even if it is just a friendly game with his friends. When playing Quidditch Sam is especially competitive and will put all his energy into the game to win. This also shows how Sam can be very determined whe doing something he has an interest in. During classes he is not very focused and only rarely puts the effort in the classes that he enjoys such as : Potions, Charms and Transfiguaration.
History: Before Hogwarts
Sam grew up in a plush London townhouse with his two parents. He has no siblings so at times things were very lonely. He didn't spend any time with his parents. One could say he hated his parents, he even did a couple of times. Sam couldn't see himself at all in his parents and looked up to Colin as a father figure. Though to try and prevent this lonliness his parents would occaisionally bring up his cousins but that just seemed to make matters worse and unlike Sam, these cousins were more like his parents: snobby, patronizing and mean. Sam did his best to ignore them and would sometimes even have gone to the extreme of locking himself in his room. His parents wouldn't really notice this as they never really noticed Sam. Though that seemed to work out for the best for Sam. Since he didn't spend a lot of time with his parents he turned out to be a much better person.
Although Sam wasn't exactly alone, he had his black labrador Vader. He spent a lot of time with him and when things got too much for him at home he would escape the house and go for a long walk with his dog. When Sam was 10 years of age he 'ran away' from home. Though his plan wasn't thought out that well and for a food supply, he snuck a box of chocolate frogs from the press and took them with him. Of coarse Vader went him aswell though they only lasted a night before returning home to find that his parents hadn't noticed his absence. Leaving Vader behind in London was very hard for Sam to do and to this day he misses him. Overall Sam didn't enjoy his childhood and never really liked to talk about his parents or his childhood even to his very best of friends. He doesn't think it is worth stressing over the past.
Moving to New Zealand to live with his uncle was probably the best thing that could have happened to Sam. He had always known about magic as a child and was seemed to be destined to Hogwarts Scotland. As a younger child Sam didn't mind the idea of Hogwarts Scotland but as he grew up and grew to dislike his parents more and more by the day he found Hogwarts New Zealand much more appealing. Sam had never mentioned this to his parents but he guessed they wouldn't mind all that much. Once he was in Slytherin like the long line in the family things would be fine. So when the letter came from Hogwarts New Zealand Sam jumped at the invite and so his parents agreed, they would send him to live with his uncle, Colin. Colin was the nicest out of his uncles, in fact he rarely ever spoke to his brothers as there was a massive fallout many years ago. Colin wasn't like Sam's father or any of his other brothers, he was more caring towards Sam and although he wasn't the best at showing it Sam knew that he cared for Sam. His uncle was a man of little words and Sam and Colin rarely talked but it didn't seem to matter. Even when Sam was sorted into Hufflepuff and his parents and the rest of his family were disgusted, Colin didn't mind. He didn't judge houses and he rarely judged people. They had some sort of a bond and Sam figured that it was one family member he could tolerate.
