Rose for a Snake

Gwen had been having some amount of fun whilst she was going around and delivering roses. It gave her a distraction from not receiving roses herself and it was definitely a good work out around the castle. The girl did not know who her next recipient was, but she knew that she was in Slytherin, and so the Gryffindor made her way down to the bottom of the castle so she could try to find her. Hoping this would be an easy delivery, Gwen paced the corridor as she held the yellow rose tightly in her hand, planning to ask the next Slytherin who walked by if they knew who Hayley Elridge was.

Hayley hurried through the dungeons on her way to the great hall for breakfast. It had occurred to her that someone might look for her with a rose down here, but she had to get to the hall quickly if she wanted to catch her girlfriend this morning. Lizzie was always in a rush on rose days, she’d told her. So if anyone was going to look for her here, tough. They could just find her elsewhere.
