when i look in the mirror:
hair- dusty blonde, with a slight wave. Worn in a ponytail on the slopes, but let loose-ish in her spare time.
eyes- brown, almond shaped.
style- warm and somewhat puffy during winter, but comfortable and non-revealing in summer. Riley likes pastel colours, but also deep pinks.
other distinguishing features- A small tattoo on her left shoulderblade; the family symbol.

personality:
Riley is a brave, confident, and proud girl, always looking out for her family.

history in a nutshell:
Riley was brought up in Ireland, with her New Zealand family. Her father had a job there working in a Muggle company, as a hydrologist. They had no contact with their NZ branch of the family, and Riley didn't even know they existed. At 6, Riley got a new little sister, named Olive Mayfield. She was incredibly excited, but didn't show it. Even at that young age, Riley was already being taught by her Grandmother Abigail Lillis to follow family tradition and take her Grandmother's place at her death. Riley had to be strong-headed and reserved, and incredibly well behaved. Even if the modern parts of the Lillis family didn't exactly like traditions, they had to follow them at risk of death. In 2015, on Christmas day, Abigail and her husband Joseph Lillis died of natural causes, as each head couple did in the family on a pre-specified date. Riley was only 8, but she took the title of head of the Lillis family, much to her mother's disgust. At 9, Riley took up skiing, discovering a hidden talent from way back in the Mayfield family.

At 11, Riley was accepted into Beauxbatons, just like each Lillis before her. She learnt to hide her emotions a little, and to channel her training to be a successful student, both socially and academically. Each holiday, Riley would ski as much as possible. At sixteen, Riley was marked with the Lillis family symbol on her left shoulderblade. It was entirely non-an painful procedure and she was very proud; only the head of the family gets the symbol. In her seventh year, Riley's sister Olive came to Beauxbatons, but hated it. By Riley's graduation, Olive had plans to transfer to Hogwarts New Zealand. Riley entirely disapproved of the breach of the family tradition.

In the winter of 2026, after her graduation, Riley continued her skiing as a professional skiier. She began preparing for competition, staying in a lodge below the white slopes of the Ohau Skifield, in the lower south island.

when i was born:
my name- I was named Riley Abigail, and was born of Lillis descent into the Mayfield family. To follow ancient Lillis traditions, my parents decided to give each odd child (the first, third etc) the last name Lillis, rather than Mayfield. My first name Riley was chosen by my father, as he liked the name. My middle name was given after my Grandmother, the previous head of the Lillis family. My full name is Riley Abigail Lillis.

Bylaws--
1 [marriage] marriages to either sex agreeable upon consent of the descendant's father, people marrying into the family see bylaw 1.3
1.1 if already wed on the right shoulder, if not yet wed on the left shoulder. The mark shall be removed and reapplied when wed.
1.2 the Lillis name should be kept at marriage by the decsendant.
1.3 persons marrying into the family must keep their own surname.
