Kenzington followed the crowd of students rushing out of charms class, rubbing sleep from her blue eyes. Falling asleep in class had become too much of a habit for her lately, wich explains why she rarely noticed things. With a yawn and a slight stretch she blinked as her eyes caught sight of a flickering of red hair. She felt her breath catch as a pain came to her chest. That hair was the same color as her best friends, the girl who had recently disappeared from her life with no explanation, leavings Kenzingtons life reeling. True, she had made new friends here at Hogwarts, more and more everyday, but the world can be an awefully lonely place for a girl without her best friend.

Goining against her better judgement Kenzi quickened her pace, working to catch up to the girl with the red hair. Her heart was beating faster each second as she held her breath, allowing a tiny glimmer of hope to worm its way into her brain. Taking a deep breath as she came up just behind the girl, Kenzington allowed herself just one word. A question that given the right answer may be capable of changing her life. "Delphi?"

Charms class had been one of the few that Delphi was looking forward to the most, and although the previous lot of classes had gone amazingly, this particular class she had been more than unable to pay attention. She had been late by a few minutes and had apologized profusely to the teacher, vowing to herself to make up for it by paying full attention and finishing her homework on time. And this theory had worked for the first half hour, or at least until a sight of a sleeping blond girl in front of her had caught Delphi's eye. Everytime she tried to concentrate on the work in front of her, her mind came up with new spectacular theories on how this girl was Delphi's very own best friend from her muggle life, Kenzington Cross. Surely that was impossible though, Kenzi was a muggle. There had never been any kind of notion of magic mentioned seriously to one another except in make believe as kids. Then again... Delphi had been thought of as a muggle but here she was. Philadelphia King-Dixon almost missed her homework as she watched the blond girl awaken and rub her eyes. Making a snap decision, Delphi decided she didn't want to know if it was Kenzi and rushed out with everyone else, managing to drop her quill as she reached a safe distance so she couldn't be trampled.

Delphi sighed gently to herself and went to work picking up all her scattered objects before hoisting the bag over her back and making her way further from her class. Blond in the corner of her eye made her heart race. Crap. The girl was following her. If it wasn't Kenzi then her heart might just collapse inwards, but if it was Kenzi...
Her name erupted from the lips of someone behind her and she knew there was no denying that the dulcet tones were indeed from her best friend. Delphi stopped and paused for a moment, letting her eyes flutter close and breathing deeply before turning to face Kenzington.
"Hi." Simple and sweet, and Delphi was sure she had sounded like a shy little girl as she spoke instead of the racing mess she currently was.
