Andromeda sighed and carried her parchment and quill to an empty table.
She scanned the rows of shelves and seriously thought she should get to know her way about the library a bit better.
She breezed up and down the aisle until she came to the potions section, picking up 'An Introduction to Potions and Ingredients by Falstrom Buckwidth' she made her way to the herbology section. She knew she had a herbology book but that was back in her dorm room, she hadn't thought it necessary for a potions class.
She browsed the shelves and wanted to scream, there were just way too many books!!
At last she came to one, 'Plants and Herbs for Basic Potions by Salizar Brokeridge'.

She carried the two weighty tomes back to the desk and placed them as gently as she could. The fact that they still made a loud thump caused Andromeda a mild panic attack incase the librarian should come and complain.

She sat down and began flicking through the pages of the potions book.

Andromeda hastily opened up her parchment with her class notes;
Belladonna by itself is extremely poisonous. This is why it is always sold in it’s diluted form. When properly diluted, belladonna is very helpful and is used in many of our potions everyday.
Ginger root by itself is not magical, but brewed properly it has magical qualities that is used in many potions.
a nettle is the same as ginger root; ordinary but when properly brewed is powerful.
Hellebore is a poisonous plant occurring in several varieties. It is common to be found, but is sometimes hard to identify. When it is prepared properly it loses its poisonous qualities, and becomes a powerful agent said to create peace.
asphodel is traditionally associated with the afterlife and the underworld. It is often used to place a victim into death or a state near to it.
Bubotuber by itself is known to cause boils upon the skin of a person who is hit by it. When it is properly diluted it has been known to cure acne.
scurvy-grass, mostly because it was recently discovered to have magical properties. It is commonly found, and is believe it or not, also located on this property.
sneezewort is just the same as scurvy-grass as far as it’s qualities.
Wormwood is commonly used in wands, but when used in potions. Traditionally it is known to symbolize bitterness. Wormwood is also known to be used in many potions along with asphodel.

She sighed as she read and re-read about the various plants. Eventually she searched the index of the herbology book and looked up the plant she had decided on.

scribbling deftly on her parchment she made as many rough notes as she possibly could, citing her sources and bracketting her quotes.
Eventually, she put her quill down and wiggled her hand. Stiff and sore, she moved her neck slowly to ease the tension.
"Potions!" she muttered to no-one imparticular.

After another hour of serious writing, she hoped it was good enough. It was a beautiful day outside and she had spent most of it cooped up in the library!
Time to go and hand her assignment in.
