Open Reluctant Rose

Malachi was not looking forward to delivering his next rose. He'd been hoping to leave it until last, but since he was already in the great hall and had just spotted Luxen at the Slytherin table, he figured he might as well get it over with. What did he have to be scared of, anyway? He wasn't in Luxen's bad books - at least as far as he knew. Steeling himself, he crossed the room to Luxen's table and tapped him on the shoulder. "Rose," he said. "I mean - sorry - I have a rose for you."

Luxen enjoyed eating his meals while reading a book. On this particular morning he was reading a book titled 'Advanced Spells for Beginners' by Phineus Cumbdrumble. It didn't contain much in Luxen's opinion but it did speak of a spell that would allow Luxen to possibly create blue flames. Luxen saw value in such a spell and was interested in learning more about it. Luxen knew that other students didn't like him which suited him just fine. He would use the time they spent playing to become a stronger wizard.

Suddenly he felt a tap on his shoulder. It was the Hufflepuff Ryu, Luxen smirked at his appearance. He was sure he would have left the school if he was in the same house as 'Chokingpuff'. "Good morning would have been a better response, friend" Luxen said to the other boy though there was a definite coldness in his tone. Luxen was honestly disappointed in Ryu's lack of ambition. "You also seem to be running a bit behind on your rose deliveries" he added since he had never even considered someone would have sent him one.
