It was just after breakfast and Andy already felt sick. It was his last year and the Ravenclaw Head of House had to name him a prefect now. Was it possible to decline? Andy wasn't sure. All he knew was that he wasn't a role-model. Role-model's liked talking to people. Whenever a first year approached him to ask him something, all Andy could do was stare at them until they ran away. He sighed. That was not the only thing making him sick. Learning about the prefect rosters, Andy had mentally prepared himself to be stuck with another prefect. However, he had hoped that it would be a prefect that he could stand, or at least one that wouldn't try to kill him. He would have even liked to have been paired with that Athena girl, and she was dreadful! But no, that was not so, for Andy was paired with Hades. Hades?! Just reading the name was enough to make the Ravenclaw what to drop out of school. There was no chance of having a nice, easy patrol.

Andy stubbornly walked to their location. Hades wouldn't be half as bad if he didn't wear all that creepy clothing, and if he wasn't so tall, and creepy. Andy had no idea why the guy liked to look horrifying, but if he was going for that, it was working. He probably scared first years just by looking at them. He sighed and lent against the wall. He should have just not shown up. Hades was probably more than capable of doing this himself. Who in their right mind put Andy with Hades? They were opposites. There were probably no more opposite people in the universe. Ever. There was no way any prefect work was going to be done. There was absolutely no way.

The worst thing that Hades Styx the Second could ever think of, would be being paired up with anyone to go on a patrol with. And the worst part was, the damn prefect he was stuck with was the one that fainted every time someone sneezed. Now that was just annoying. He rolled his eyes and he made sure that he had the proper attire on his body before making his way down the corridors to find the Ravenclaw prefect. How he managed to get that badge was beyond him. The Ravenclaw Head of House must have had no one else to award, so he awarded the worst one that he could possibly find. Maybe he could have some fun with him though, to make the patrol go by faster. Hades could think of a million ways to scare the living crap out of him, but he did not wish to get into trouble just yet either. Then again it was the seventh year, so why not go wild? Hades was contemplating what he was going to do, while pushing other matters out of his mind. Other pressing matters that Mylie had contacted him with, since he just could not handle that right now either. Yes he loved her, but there was just so much that he could handle all at once. Hades was stressed to the point where he swore his hair was falling out. Yet he had plenty.

Soon enough, Hades found himself at the location, and he walked over to the Ravenclaw prefect, his thin, white lips curled into a smirk. This look alone could scare some first years. How could someone like him ended up in Hufflepuff? He just did not belong anywhere else. He was not a Slytherin since he was not cunning. He was a lot more blunt. He sure as hell was not noble, and he did not give a rat’s ass about wisdom. Hades saw that Andy was leaning against the wall, and wondered if he were scared yet. Hades finally said, “So, Hydran, let’s get this over with. You can do something to amuse me, or else I will have to take it, at your expense.” It was definitely a threat, and he wondered how Andy would take to it. Faint? Cry? Actually grow a backbone or something? He doubted the latter, but if it did, then he would actually be amused. Then he would have to come up with something else to make the patrolling a living hell for him. After all, Hades was stuck doing this, and he hated every bloody second. Whomever chose the two of them would never hear the end of it.

Obviously today was not going to be a good day. Andy saw the Hufflepuff coming, he instinctively held his breath. If he kept his eye on Hades, hopefully he could run away before he could do anything. The Ravenclaw grew increasingly uncomfortable as Hades came closer, what could be described as a smirk on his face. If he were frowning, Andy was sure he'd feel a little safer. Just a little bit. Andy felt his stomach tie itself into a knot when Hades reached him and finally spoke. He had doubted that this would be a silent patrol, one where he would not be terrified by a fellow prefect. This would obviously never happen, since everything about Hades disturbed Andy. He was really tall, and seemed to have it out for him. So obviously, Andy was very uncomfortable and scared, very scared. He released the air he had been holding and avoided all eye contact with Hades.

Andy timidly looked up at Hades, and leapt from the wall. "Let's just hurry up and begin the patrol." He spoke softly, and quickly dropped his line of sight so he was no longer staring at the Hufflepuff's face. He was not going to entertain the Hufflepuff in whatever sick games he was going to play. Andy began to walk quickly down the hall. The faster he got this over with, the faster he would be able to return to his dorm and try and settle his heart, which was trying to bash its way out of his chest. He didn't dare look back at Hades, he really didn't want to know what he was doing, or what he was planning. If he was lucky, and the spirits were on his side, maybe they would run into a professor that would decide to accompany them for whatever reason.

The other Ravenclaw prefect was very hilarious to watch, and Hades kept his eyes on him like an owl on a mouse. A very timid mouse that would be easy prey. He was going to get things done today whether or not it was one of the last things that he would ever do with this Ravenclaw. Hades knew exactly what he could do in order to really freak him out. Something that Hades had kept secret from everyone except Mylie. Mylie knew just about everything about him, and with the whole incident in the back of his mind, he could actually concentrate on what he could do. But he had to play it right. As soon as the Ravenclaw started walking down the hall, he knew that he would have to really do something to make himself as entertained as possible. Hades let out a sigh, a silent one, as he concentrated. Bones shifted, and transfiguration occurred. Hades was an Animagus, and he was letting the Ravenclaw know in a special way.

In his Animagus form, Hades was a vampire bat, and a black one for his distinctive markings. Hades thought to himself that this was excellent and he immediately took flight which had taken him ages to learn. He just hoped that Andy would not scream too loud since his hearing was a lot more sensitive now that he was a bat. He flew just over the Ravenclaw's head, hoping that the wind from the flap of the winds would ruffle his hair and get the Ravenclaw's attention to look up. Just to make sure that he had the boy's attention, Hades released a few sounds that only vampire bats could make. While they were not at all that scary, to those that were afraid of their own shadow, it might as well be a herd of tigers heading down the corridors.
