Eva had been considering whether she should write to her parents so soon or not. She didn't have many updates to tell them, so what would be the point? Maybe she could tell them how her first couple of days back were going. She was on the road to meeting new people, making new friends, it was a nice change. Although she did miss her friend from home, someone Eva didn't have to worry about when mentioning them to her parents. To them, blood status was always important - even before they knew what the person's surname or name was. Her mom and dad were so conservative and the girl did not even want to think what it would be like to disobey them. Once in a while she thought truly about doing it, just once. It definitely wouldn't go well, that she was one hundred per cent sure about. She sighed, quill in hand and a black parchment in front of her. She got up her mind made. She would talk to them when something remotely interesting was happening in her life, but for now, she didn't have anything to say. Why waste a piece of paper. Eva folded the page and put it in her pocket. She wasn't looking where she was going however, so by the time she looked up it was too late. She'd bumped straight into someone. "I am so sorry," she apologised, and when she recognised the person her face split into a smile. "Freya, it's nice to see you again!" Eva was glad that she'd come across her friend, she'd missed her now that she thought about it. The other girl was lovely, the Gryffindor was happy to have met her a while ago.

Freya couldn't quite believe she had received a letter from her mother a couple of days ago, since they had quite big arguement the last time she was home. She knew Leif had been writing home on a regular basis and was rather interested in all the things he would write about. When she had gotten the letter Freya's initial thought was that it had been delivered wrong and that it had been meant for her brother. But it wasn't. The letter had actually been for her and even included an apology from her mother, something she didn't do often. To be honest the letter had gotten to herquite a bit, as everything about it was so unlike her mother that the Hufflepuff got worried something might be wrong. So the girl had set her pride aside for a bit and had written a response letter, which she had now send to her mother from the owlery. Hoping that everything would be alright Freya made her way back down the stairs, only to bump into someone in the halway leading away from them. "It's okay." She smiled and looked up to other person. "Eva!" Freya's smile grew even wider when she realized it was actually one of her friends, and one she hadn't seen in a while as well. "Yes, it's been a while! How have you been?" If there was one characteristic Freya posessed, it was that she was always genuinely interested in how others were doing, especially her friends. The fact that they hadn't seen each other in a while, also made her realize that perhaps she should put a little more effort in hanging out with her friends some more.

this isn't very good, but oh my its been a while

Of all the places Eva could have bumped into her friend Freya, the north tower had to be it. Eva had of course come here not on her own accord, to contact her family. She had to admit it was getting a little tedious now, but her family was one of traditions and breaking those was unthinkable. Either way, it did mean that she ran into the hufflepuff and Eva most certainly did not regret it. She sighed when Freya asked her how she'd been, the girl had no idea, although no one did really but nevertheless she kept the smile plastered on her face. "A lot has been happening, school and family stuff over the holidays, so I've been busy, as usual. Nothing too stressful though. What about you? How're you holding up?" Eva asked genuinely interested to know how Freya had been. It would be nice to catch up once in a while without having to worry about the list of things she needed to do.
