Violet wasn't sure about the protocol for the school library. Was she allowed to bring her own muggle books in, and read them there?
She hoped so. She wanted to be inside - she didn't want her books getting dirty outside. She figured that she'd try the library to read first, and if she was kicked out of there, she'd just go to the Hufflepuff common room.
She pulled her book out of her bag. Jane Eyre. She hadn't been able to properly finish it, yet. She was only up to the part where St John Rivers had offered Jane a job as a school teacher. Violet was lamenting the lack of Mr. Rochester in the current plot line, but the book was still intriguing her, nonetheless.
She thought that she should probably study. But the lure of her books was just too good to resist. She sighed, and read on.
