Xavier apparated both he and Vincent to the front outside of the Snow Manor as he desperately needed his friends help with something that he could trust very few people with. Recently it had come to not only his attention but the rest of the families as well that Alphonse Snow had seemingly vanished off the face of the earth and no one seemed to have idea where he was or why he had disappeared. It finally started to bug Xavier to the point where he needed to try and figure out what had happened. But since no one knew, or at least if they did they weren't telling he needed to do a bit of raiding around or asking questions. And since he not only did not feel like being alone he knew that Vincent was probably good with stuff like this. Overall he just needed someone there with him for a bit list of reasons and since both Alyssa and Theodore were at school and Gabrielle was off somewhere his best friend was the last choice and probably the best. Turning to look at Vincent with bright blue eyes he smirked, he hoped Vincent didn't mind helping him check out his home like this, he had already explained the situation to him but didn't really ask all that much about what Vincent thought about it. Xavier sort of figured that Vincent would interested in seeing Alyssa's childhood home anyways or something along those lines.

"Gloomy looking place, eh? I swear this place had once seen better days." Xavier commented as he rubbed his head lightly, the smile that he had on his face had begun to fade as he thought about all the good days this used to have before things completely went under the dumps. Softly Xavier motioned for his best friend to follow after him as he started up the long paved path up to the house, he used to hate walking this long thing whenever he returned from the Holidays now as he walked it he noticed how with each step closer he took to the Manor. Figuring he should say something else he quickly cleared his throat. "A few quick rules, one..try not to wander because it's easy to get lost. Two, if you see anything that looks abnormal...don't touch it because it probably does something weird. Three, be careful what you say to these people. And last of all, this is also Alyssa's family so don't be surprised if a few of them know who you are." Xavier snickered again before he turned back to make sure Vincent was keeping up with him and everything. Xavier would probably feel like the worlds biggest jerk if he left his best friend get lost around or inside his house, especially with the weird people in his family roaming around.

Vincent stared at the Snow Manor with a raised eyebrow. Wow, he had seen more excitement in a graveyard than this place. Vincent put his hands in his jacket pocket and he said nothing as he made his way with Xavier toward the manor. Alphonse was gone, vanished, and why Xavier wanted to investigate was beyond him. Wasn't it a good thing that he was gone if he were so bad? Vincent shrugged at his thought of this, and he still could not think of anything that would make him vanish from the face of the earth. Maybe he needed to find a brain and went hunting for one? "I've seen more happiness at mom's funeral to be honest," Vincent replied to Xavier. Xavier started to explain the rules to him and he nodded softly. He took in each and every one of them as if they were law. But the last one amused him. Alyssa talked about him? That made him feel special inside, even if he somewhat knew about it already. "All right, shall we get this over with?" Vincent said with a smile.

Xavier smirked at Vincent when he retorted that he had probably seen more happiness at his mother's funeral which was probably true at any case because this place got gloomier and gloomier by the second Once they reached the door Xavier turned to Vincent for a moment; "My family swears that living inside this Manor for too long will make you lose your mind or something, I have to say I'd agree with the way people act around here. Come on." He laughed and shook his head, apparently according to the way his family said it there was supposed to be a curse on this place but Xavier thought of it to be nothing but an exaggeration of odd occurrences. Grabbing a hold of the doors he pulled them open and peeked his head inside, one look inside made him sigh. You move out for less than a year and they decide to go around and change everything. He stepped inside and waited for Vincent to follow him into the Front Foyer before he closed the door behind him gently, so far the house seemed ridiculously still which was a good sign because it meant that everything was normal. Heading down a hall and hoping Vincent would follow him he turned his head again. "Itty bitty problem here, they've gone around and changed things a bit since I've last lived here so there's a small possibility of getting lost...but don't worry man..I'm sure someone will find us." Xavier hoped he would not get yelled at by Vincent for this, after all it was not his fault they loved to change things all the damn time. Xavier only wanted to know why his father had left and what he was up to, without that man around things have gotten very strange. It would probably take a really long time to explain to Vincent though what he meant.

Vincent made sure that his hands were still deep in his jacket pockets. That would be the best thing for right now. Maybe if things were a little happier, then he would feel a little better, but no. Things were so different here. Things were almost scary different. Or rather...depressing different. A few happy pills and a party or two might fix things up, right? Or just make them really hyper. "I'll make sure to stay away from those that talk to themselves and not look them in the eye." Vincent chuckled under his breath as he followed Xavier into the front foyer. Everything seemed a little...still for Vincent. He raised an eyebrow, and he thought that the place looked rather nice, because he had never had a manor or mansion before. Just a nice sized house with three bedrooms. This one took his house and stomped on it when he was growing up. Now he lived an apartment. He wasn't going to complain, but there were times when houses were too big to live in. Maybe this was one of them? When Xavier said those last words, Vincent looked at him in utter shock, "What? Can't you just apparate to the foyer or something again, to start over? Where do we start looking first anyway?" Vincent wouldn't know where to start when it came down to this place. Were there secret passages too and spinning bookcases as well? If there were, he had seen it all.

Xavier stopped and rubbed his chin gently, Vincent did have a point about apparating but Xavier was very unsure if there was any sort of charm placed on the Manor or not to prevent outsiders from apparating around or something, after a moment he shook his head. "I could, but you wouldn't be able to Apparate around around here. Plus I'd rather not splinch myself which is something that people seem to do a lot in this house. Just come on...I think I know where I'm going." He told Vincent quickly as he motioned for his friend to keep following him throughout the house, splinching did happen a lot in this house and to be honest Xavier didn't really want know why. The house might have been changed around a little but he sort of recognized where he was going. All he needed to do was find someone who knew the house a little better, maybe this person could also tell him what was going on if they knew enough. After rounding a few corners and heading down a few hallways Xavier was able to catch sight of someone he knew that could help him, his aunt Effie who seemed to know the house pretty well. He turned to Vincent and grinned. "Oi Effie!" He bolted over to her and noticed straight away that she was holding a baby. Probably one of the twins but which of the two he couldn't really tell yet. "Vincent, this is my aunt Effie Snow. She teaches Arithmancy at Hogwarts in New Zealand and happens to be one of the sweetest people in the entire world. Eff, this is Vincent Chevalier." He would ask her if she knew what was going on have the whole introduction thing was done, hopefully the stupid baby she was holding would let her stay around that long. His little cousins happened to be huge brats a lot of the time.

Effie carefully turned around when she heard her named being called and adjusted her three month old baby Florence a little in her arms as two boys quickly approached her. One of them was her eldest nephew and the other was a boy that she had never seen before. One the two boys were close enough to her Florence cooed softly and reached out a tiny hand before Effie giggled and kissed her baby's soft little cheek. A small introduction was given and Effie locked her two different color eyes onto Vincent before she smiled softly, unlike the rest of her siblings she actually had blonde hair like Xavier, Alyssa, and Theodore did which was rare for her and her siblings. "Well someone around has to have a heart, might as well be me." Effie rolled her eyes when Xavier called her a sweetheart, she was nice yes but did that really matter when it came to the end of it. After a moment she tried to figure out exactly where this kid looked familiar from, the name she recognized somehow but it almost looked like she knew this boy for some reason.

"It's Nice to meet you Vincent...you must also be Alyssa's boyfriend. She talks about you quite often. But um..are you related to Amauri Chevalier?" Finally a face stuck in her mind of her oldest brother's former best friend, the man used to come here quite often in his younger years but she really hadn't seen him since he Graduated and moved on. It was really sad because Amauri was a really nice kid, Alphonse is such a loser for letting a good friend go like that.

Vincent wondered what kind of place this was. He shrugged and he continued on following Xavier around. He didn't really like the fact that he was following around Xavier who only thought he knew where he was going. Though it wasn't until he sought out an older woman holding a baby when Vincent started to pay more attention to his surroundings. She was a professor and a mother, nice. Vincent gave a charming smile and he said with a clear, confident voice, "Lovely to meet you, Effie." At least he was rather polite. So, she had a heart. That was a little easy to believe, she seemed just like she would have a heart anyway. Hearing about Alyssa talking about him boosted his ego even more. "I talk about her a lot too. She is the most wonderful girl I've ever met." He did not care at this point if Xavier heard him gush over his sister. It was what people in love did. "That would be my dad," Amauri answered Effie with a subtle smile.

Xavier watched carefully as Vincent reacted with his aunt, she was probably one of the few members that would probably not act a little weird around Vincent at all because she wasn't a typical follower of the families ways. Hearing Vincent talk about his sister as if she were some angel or something made Xavier roll his eyes and pretend to gag. "Wonderful girl my a**." He muttered under his breath before he shook his head and tried to think of some way to question his aunt about his father. He probably would have one already if Vincent wasn't over there being all gooey eyed and stuff over his snot-nosed sister. He was glad that someone in his family got along with Vincent though. Especially since Vincent and Alyssa seemed very keen in staying together for awhile.

"Hey..Eff? Do you have idea why father disappeared...or where he is?" He asked after a moment, his blue eyes shifting to his best friend for a moment. He had to be careful exactly what he said because he knew Vincent didn't like to talk about certain things and that Effie didn't liek to talk about certain things either. He didn't want to upset either of them.

Effie smiled at Vincent softly when he said that he found Alyssa to be the most wonderful girl he's ever met because Effie felt that the young girl needed someone like that in her life. "You two are so adorable together." Effie commented and rolled her eyes when Xavier commented about Alyssa and what Vincent had said about her, that was why Xavier had yet to really impress a girl in his life, he had no romantic motive whatsoever. When her nephew asked if she knew anything about Alphonse and the blonde shook her head before she frowned. Florence beside her cooed before she attempted to reach out to the boys again, she probably wanted to drool on them or something of the sort. "I try to stay out of your father's business whenever possible. The last I was him was during the family meeting, after that nothing." Effie shrugged her shoulder and kissed her baby again so that she would stop trying to interact with the two boys before her. To be honest she doubted that neither of them even knew how to hold a baby let alone interact with one.

"I remember Amuri, he used to come over here all the time. He and Alphonse always said I was too little to play with them but..your father was a always such a nice guy. I remember your mom too, she was...such a sweetheart and she was so pretty too...oh sorry. I uh..I need to go check on Damide." Effie replied sadly before she dismissed the two males and walked off in a random direction, talking about the past and of all her friends that had passed or rather..the people she wished were her friends past made her always really sad.

Vincent shot Xavier a cold glare when he mumbled something, though he could not make it out, but Vincent could only assume. Vincent let out a soft sigh when Effie backed up Vincent's side in the matter. He smiled instead of saying thanks or something similar or the sort. Yet, Effie had not seen Alphonse after some meeting. He didn't know what that meant or why families had meetings, but he didn't have enough family alive to technically have a meeting. He didn't really envy Xavier so much anymore about having siblings and all that. Vincent let out a soft sigh when Effie talked about his mother and his father. Vincent did not remember much of his mother, nor did he hear much of Amauri's younger days. "Dad is still the nice guy, but he is just...serious." Then she hurried out to check on a domino? Vincent shrugged and he turned to Xavier, "What now?"

Xavier gave his aunt a look meaning that he knew about what happened at the meeting then shrugged his head softly as she walked off. "Please excuse her, she has always been a little sensitive on talking about the past. Alyssa gets the same way, it's so annoying." Xavier commented with a shake of his head as he motioned for his friend to follow him as they continued through the long hallway, he had somewhat of an idea of where he was going now so hopefully they would actually get some progress now, they needed to be quick about this before Alphonse actually decided to show up and get upset with Xavier bringing random guests into the house. Turning to Vincent Xavier grinned knowing that his friend. "We turn to Alyssa for help now." He motioned for Vincent to follow him knowing that his friend would also be confused with what he had just said, but the blonde did have an idea and he just hoped it would sort of work with a little snooping done.

Vincent nodded a bit, wondering what exactly had happened. He was rather confused, well, that was an understatement. He was completely and thoroughly befuddled. He left his hands in his pockets and he continued to follow his friend down the long hallway. Vincent glanced around the place and he smiled a bit, it reminded him of being in school. That place had a long hallway, well, they had many. But it had more of an icy and elegant feel to it. Vincent did not know what to think of this place at all. When Xavier said the next part, it left Vincent in a more befuddled state than before. He raised an eyebrow and he said, "What in the world are you talking about? Alyssa is at school. She couldn't help us unless you mailed her or something." Vincent thought that Xavier had lost his mind by now. All this searching and stuff must have left his friend in a weird state of mind or loss of days or something. Vincent was also curious if he meant someone or something else.

Xavier stopped and almost laughed at Vincent's response to Xavier's comment, this guy didn't miss a beat when it came to the blonde haired Veela which was quite humorous to Xavier. "I know that. Goodness dude, is there anything you don't know about my damn sister?" The blonde haired male asked jokingly as he headed up a set of stairs, he knew that people in love often seemed to sometimes know a lot about one another so if the guy did Xavier wouldn't blame him. Finally once they reached the top of the stairs Xavier had to stop and actually think for a moment, it was probably a bit obvious by the look on his face that he was thinking or he was just a little lost..maybe a little of both. He was just having a little bit of an issue remembering exactly where the little snob's room was in this forsaken house. "Nah, I just know Alyssa managed to get her polished little fingers on one of the keys to father's office since most charms won't work unlocking it. I kinda can't remember where her old room was though..I swear to god if she took the keys with her I'm gonna give her a good knock upside the head." Xavier sighed and eventually decided to try a random hall. He didn't really seem to notice that he once again probably said something rude about his sister but then again thats what he often did when she did something annoying. Turning around another corner he stopped and sighed, boy did he hate this house.

Vincent rolled his blue eyes at Xavier's comment. It was his job to know where Alyssa was all the time. He could have commented on how he did not know how Alyssa was like in bed, but this was her brother, so he kept his mouth shut. Xavier really was dense at times. He nodded but said nothing as Xavier explained the story, and he followed him. He heard Xavier sigh and he knew that there was something wrong. "Are we lost, Xavier?" He hoped not, or else he would kill Xavier for losing him. Vincent kept walking with Xavier, and then when Xavier stopped suddenly, Vincent was not expecting it. He tried to stop, but it didn't work. He fell onto the carpet, face first. Groaning, he muttered, "What the hell. Does your house not like Aurors?" Vincent stood up completely, and dusted off his jeans. There was always something out to get him, but he also wondered if there was a tripping jinx caster around here somewhere.

Nicolette really didn't want to be here today but thanks to Alphonse and his oh so awesome disappearing act she had to be here every so often to make sure that this family didn't kill themselves. The golden eyed female was about head around the corner when she saw Xavier and some other boy headed this way, it wasn't until she watched the other guy trip and fall to the ground that she snorted and headed over to the pair. What in the world was the idiot up to now being here with a friend during such a difficult time? "Xavier, you need to stop using your friends as dust magnets. Actually you shouldn't be here at all...why are you here? And you better not give me another one of your retarded answers you gave me last time or I'll rip your fricken head of-...oh um. Nevermind..just please tell me your keeping your nose out of stuff!" The blonde shook her head before she let her golden eyes fall onto the boy who was with Xavier, he almost looked familiar. Hopefully the added hormones would keep her from snapping at this poor boy as well.

The moment Xavier turned to see Nicolette Styx standing next to them he let out a girly shriek of her terror that was mostly caused due to him being shocked that she was there. "Oh it's just you. How's pregnancy treating you?" Xavier teased when he noticed the ever so small baby bump that he knew she was not all that happy about being there, it seemed like her and his old Herbology Professor liked to have children. After sticking his tongue out at Nicolette to get her slightly riled up he snickered and turned to Vincent and asked if his friend was okay before he decided once again that he needed to introduce people. "Nicolette this is Vincent Chevalier, you may know already know who this is thanks to big mo-er Alyssa. Vincent this is Nicolette, she's probably one of the best Healers you'll ever meet. She's currently teaching Alyssa healing too, she pretty much helped rise the knuckle head after Alyssa's mother died." Xavier breathed after a lengthy introduction, Alyssa should be the one doing this and not him but oh well at least someone was doing it if Vincent intended to stick around with Alyssa.

Vincent raised an eyebrow on the woman that approached, and wondered who in the world she was. And she called him a dust magnet! But what was more entertaining was when Xavier shrieked like a girl. "Xavier, you could pass for a girl with that scream," smirked Vincent. He turned his blue eyes to the woman once more, and he continued to watch her with his blue eyes. Vincent nodded at the introduction and her name was Nicolette. He cocked his head slightly to the side and wondered if she were always this catty. Vincent wouldn't say this out loud though. "Healer huh? Love it that my girlfriend has the best teacher then. Pleasure to meet you, Nicolette..." He didn't know her last name but he doubted that it was Snow. She didn't look like any of the Snow's he had met so far. She seemed like she had an attitude though. He wondered what the story behind Nicolette was, but she had done nothing to raise his suspicions. He did not openly say that he was an Auror either. Why bother when you are still training?

Nicolette would have smirked at Vincent when he commented about Xavier passing for a girl with his scream but her nausea really prevented her from doing anything. Oddly enough she had yet to get sick or anything. "He cries like a girl too. You still haven't told me why your here." She managed out lightly but rudely at the same time, she loved to irritate the younger generation of the Snows because they such small inner filters to go through what they say so they often just say the dumbest crap when they are pissed off. After he spoke his girlfriend having the best teacher she raised an eyebrow at him, so this was the boy that Alyssa was dating and spoke about all the time. "So your Alyssa's boyfriend. Cute girl but lately she's be very easy to upset or stress out." Nicolette commented to the boy before she sighed under her breath. She needed to get some soon to check up on her babies and stuff. Hopefully they weren't being fussy or anything.

"Um were just...hanging out. Right Vincent?" Xavier coughed and asked his friend because he was not all that comfortable with Nicolette knowing why the two of them were really here because she would probably get upset. He could tell that Vincent was probably a little shocked by Nicolette's attitude and as funny as it was to the blonde make he didn't want Vincent to get worried or anything. Normally she was smiley, bubbly, and friendly but recently nothing but mean and just plain out rude to everyone except her 'new family.' "Don't mind her, it's just her pregnant woman hormones kicking in. Nooow if you don't mind, we need to go...chill out some more." Grabbing ahold of Vincent's arm Xavier started to pull him away quickly down the hall and away from Nicolette with the quickest speed he could manage while fast walking and dragging Vincent. Once they had rounded the corner Xavier let his friend go before he sighed.

Vincent listened to Nicolette and he laughed under his breath, but he glanced over at Xavier when he openly lied to Nicolette, but he said nothing because Vincent was not fond of lying, but keeping silent was often gold. Vincent was a little iffy about this woman's attitude, but he was also wondering if there was more in Nicolette than meets the eye. She seemed...cold. Vincent was about to ask questions, but Xavier pulled him away, after saying that she was pregnant and all, and Vincent nodded, thinking that was why she was so mean and all. Hormones will do that to a woman. Vincent tried to keep up with Xavier, but it was hard enough with someone who was physically fit. They stopped around the corner, and Vincent turned to Xavier, "So, okay, now what?" Vincent wondered what else they would be coming across. Vincent let out a sigh, and he said, "I'm getting tired, it seems like we are just running around in circles."

Xavier stopped and scratched his head before he sighed. "Dude you whine like a girl." The blonde shook his head as he peeked his head around the corner to make sure no one else was around to bother them. This family had too many people in it so it was so easy for him to get stopped or bothered or cut off by someone trying to be a huge pain in his backside. With one last glance he just motioned for Vincent to follow him again, he felt bad for the chase and run around but he needed help but didn't realize how much of this place he had yet to find the location of. "Okay I think I know where I'm going now, I just had trouble remembering where Alyssa's old room is.."

Vincent pointed out, “Well you shriek like one so we are even.” Vincent smirked wickedly as if he had won the argument. Vincent started to follow Xavier down another hallway, and thought that this place was just far too large for someone’s family. Did they not keep their own little houses or something? Vincent let out a sigh that was completely silent. He hoped that no one else like Nicolette would show up and totally just bust them for what they were trying to do. He didn’t approve of snooping, but this was over a father missing. So, he had to make an exception. Vincent nodded at Xavier and gave him a small smile, “All right then. So, let’s get going.”

"At least I can get laid." Xavier coughed after his friends response as he started to walk into what he thought was in the direction of his father's office so he and Vincent could finally figure out what was going on. He knew his friend wanted to wait until marriage for that sort of stuff but at the same time he still liked to pick on him for it too because it was so rare for a guy to do that these days. After a few narrowed halls they finally reached the big wooden doors that let to Alphonse Snows office. With a quick look of worry to his friend he motioned for Vincent to follow him as he opened the door with a spare key he remembered having. It was now or never.
