Used to get called Foxy back in France, but he dropped that nickname when he moved to New Zealand

When Raff's Parent's divorced Raffael moved with his Father to New Zealand
But when he was disowned he wasn't sure where he would stay
He soon met up with an old friend, Taylor Mercer, and her parents were kind enough to let him stay with them in Perth, Western Australia
After Raff graduated his moved out of Taylor's family home and found a place near Brightstone Village, New Zealand with his old friend from Beauxbatons Vincent Chevalier

Since Raffael was born, his parents had taught him to be respectful and act proper and Raffael always wanted to please them, so his attitude was impeccable, from his posture to his manners
Although he no longer has parents, he still can't break out of his old habits of proper behaviour, but he accepts that it's not really a bad thing
His parents also pushed him to do well in school, and Raffael strived for top grades to make them happy, now he doesn't pay as much attention in school, but he still does extremely well
When Raffael cares about something or someone he will care about them a hell of a lot

Mum and Dad issues
John and Danielle met in Beauxbatons when John was a third year and Danielle was a second year. They were both bright students and started talking when both were signed up for an academic program. They became friends and developed into more, becoming a couple when Danielle was 15 and John was 16. They left school and remained together, getting married at the ages of 20 and 19. That same year, Raffael was born. From there onwards the relationship had been rocky, the addition of child making the couple see their differences and the mistakes they made when deciding to marry at such a young age. They realised they were much different adults than teenagers. Raff had grown up with his parents pushing him to be the perfect child. To John and Danielle, trying to make their son the best in everything counted as love and would help stabilise their marriage. Raffael turned a blind eye to their constant fighting, the love for his parents not allowing him to assess their flaws. After an ugly break up in Raffael's fifth year, he moved to New Zealand with his Dad, not of his own choice. His parents broke up all the time, his Mum often moving away from France, but always returning to try and make the marriage work. A few months past however and Raffael's Father didn't return to France, but Raffael still chose to give it more time. He went to Hogwarts and focused on his studies, meeting Hadan and attending the Yule Ball with her. It was the night of the Yule Ball in 2022 that Raffael received a letter from his Father telling him that he was disowned as a son. Simple as that, Raffael no longer had parents. He moped around those Christmas holidays at Hogwarts, but with the help of Hadan was able to get out of his slump. He hadn't spoken to Danielle or John and although he is still getting over the loss of his family, he now has a new one. The next school semester in 2023 Raffael bumped into Taylor Mercer, an ex-girlfriend he had met in 2020 while she was on a holiday in France. They got to talking and became really close friends again. He eventually told her about the events with his parents and Taylor offered Raffael a place to stay with her. Keith Mercer and Melissa Pappus (Taylor's parents) both remembered what a lovely boy Raffael was and said he was welcome. Raffael now lives with Taylor and her family and hasn't been happier in a long time.
