Alana didn't tell anyone that she did this, but she'd taken to stopping by the memorial for Avie after games and keeping it informed as if the boy was still somehow there. It wasn't like he was a ghost or anything, so deep down, Alana knew that he'd moved on, but it was still comforting to her to do. Letting her broom drop onto the grass, Alana sat down close enough that she could read the words if she looked which she didn't plan to do. "We're two and oh now, Avie" she stated quietly, her red eyes looking out over the lake and not at the words written on the memorial or the little snitch that hovered here and there. She didn't want to get misty-eyed. She almost felt like she owed it to Lucien and Esme who had named her captain to do this for them since they weren't at the school and couldn't do it themselves. "Our new seeker is pretty good. He's not you, of course. But, I think he's doing well."

Crossing her legs at the ankles, the teenager leaned her hands behind her as she looked over the lake. That was enough odd for the day. Now, she'd just sit and enjoy the way the sun's rays lit up the lake. It really was a good spot that they'd chosen for this.

Clara headed towards the lake front. She needed to find somewhere quiet to get her mind off of the upcoming exams. She had been studying so hard lately that her sleep pattern was completely out of whack. Sighing slightly to herself, Clara looked around for what looked like a quiet spot and was intrigued by what looked like a memorial of some sort. She'd heard something about it from her sister but didn't know anything beyond that. She sort of knew his name, being that it was written on the memorial, but she didn't know much about him. Her sister hadn't been his friend or anything after all. She knew her cousin was close with him, but she'd obviously never met Avie herself. As she got closer she noticed that someone was already here. She had considered that she should leave, but perhaps this would be a good opportunity to network. It couldn't hurt at least. "Did you know him?"

Alana turned her face, squinting slightly as she took in the young girl's face. She couldn't be sure that the girl wasn't a Slytherin because she hardly knew any of the younger students. Even though she was tasked with helping them in her position as a prefect, quidditch kept her extremely busy. "Yes, we played quidditch together" she replied, her tone matter-of-fact. She made no effort to move to give the girl room and no smile was offered to the young girl, but she wasn't being mean either. Curiosity she could deal with.
