Vladimir had, to be honest, tried to sneak onto the commentator's podium in order to get a better view of the match with Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. When he got there, he realised that it was abandoned, and he nearly had a bird's eye view of everything around him. At first, proud and elated with his idea, he had simply chosen to watch. Then he found himself making little comments as the match wore on, and found he could see the Ravenclaw-Slytherin match as well. Right there and then, he decided to do something quite suicidal and otherwise due to his growing curiosity as to why there was no commentator. Why not fill in the spot, he asked himself?
Fidgeting with the magically enhanced podium speaker, he tried to decide for a few minutes, then finally thought of a solution; no one would blame him if he was doing a commentary - there was no one here, and you needed a commentary to keep a check on the game for the audience. Everyone knew that. Well, everyone in Bulgaria and Russia.

GRYFFINDOR VS HUFFLEPUFF
"He-hey zer audience!" The voice boomed out of the commentator's podium. I'm probably going to be killed for this. Vladimir thought blithely as he continued, trying to steady his shaky voice, and more or less rid of his Russian accent. "Right then." He continued, surprising himself somewhat with the sheer volume of his magically magnified voice. "Professor Manteia is the referee for these matches, it's a decent choice I suppose, due to his strictness and so on. Vell, first, and can I just say, vot a line-up Gryffindor has this year. I'm surprised to see Bruin Dumbledez as an alternate, honestly, because we all know the guy can play..."
He was encouraged by a bit of laughter and otherwise curious expressions as to where the speaker's voice was coming from, but most of the audience appeared to pass it off as the commentator finally arriving. "Gryffindor Team - Captain I assume? - Vanderhol is conversing with Manteia at the moment, and settling the line-up; no doubt clarifying some rules. There have been some rumors about a sexist team with only one male player because Vanderhol is leading, and suspicions of Dumbledez on alternate, but I'll honestly tell you right now they are all excellent players and any rumors are unfounded..."
He fell silent for the moment, whilst watching the Gryffindor players filing in, and the first few Hufflepuff players coming onto the Pitch. "Hufflepuff Player Kingsley is fraternizing with the enemy by the looks of it." Vladimir joked, "More conversation... More conversation... And they're off! All of them into the air! You know 'zem, you'll love 'zem once you see 'zem play! From the Gryffindor team, we have Vanderhol! Fiorelli! Kiera Kingsley! Goulding! Frost! Weasley!" Cheers erupted from the Gryffindor stands after his introduction, as he suspected. "Can I just say that the Weasley legacy of being on the Quidditch team is holding up fairly well; in addition, whilst the team line-up are all fine players, some are fine women too, if not all! For example, Mercer is one h-"
Silenced by a glare from a Professor in the stands who was no doubt trying to see who the vulgar commentator was, Vladimir cleared his throat and fell silent. "Yes, well - er - Sorry Professor." Waiting for the laughter to subside, Vladimir continued his commentary. "On the Gryffindor Reserve are Dumbledez - we all love him - and Moonlight. Meanwhile, on the Hufflepuff team - there they go, glittering through the air - Rogers! Troque! Katheryn Kingsley - look another one! I hear they're related, or at least good friends, on some account of same surnames, that is." Vladimir squinted through the commentator's podium as he continued, "More of the Hufflepuff players are taking off, look at them go, like rockets they are... Aireous! Prince! Bellamy! Wright! And Fiiiiinnigan!" Allowing the Hufflepuffs to yell out their cheers and whatnot, Vladimir took a deep breath; this was more tiring than he thought.
"Manteia's explaining the rules now, the usual, Blagging, Blatching, Blurting, they're all no-nos - every had someone pull those on you? Not pleasant." Vladimir's grinned slightly as more cheers approved of his commentary; well, he wasn't doing so bad after all. "Gryffindor's to the North hoops, and Hufflepuff, to the south hoops, whistle from the ref' vill mean zat all actions cease till he sorts things out. First games of the season, bound to 'ave some problems, eh?"
The next few words he said were drowned out when the stands erupted with thunderous roars and cheers as the game started with a loud air horn and the balls being released. "And the balls are off, shooting all over the place like bloody cannonballs... Andy' Fiorelli gets the quaffle right off the bat, there she goes, shooting off, heading to the South End of the Pitch-" The game was so damn fast it was hard to keep track of things, and instead of in-depth explanations, Vladimir found himself yelling to keep up. So this was why all the commentators at the professional matches seemed to shout out at gibbering fast voices. "Vanderhol and Kiera Kingsley are supporting Fiorelli's position - Katheryn Kingsley is tailing Fiorelli now - Fiorelli passes - And Kiera - Kiera gets it - Now Troque from the Hufflepuff team is after Kiera, look at them go, both very charming girls, catfight! Catfight! - Ulp - Sorry Professor." Vladimir gulped as the same Professor from the stands glared at him once more.
"Fiorelli goes in close to the Hufflepuff's hoops to try and support Kiera - Hufflepuff Keeper Bellamy is bracing herself - Hold on, looks like something's wrong down below ... Mike Goulding looks like he's sick ... No, no, I'm sorry folks, Goulding won't be playing today..." Before the groans from the Gryffindor stands could fully rise, Vladimir bellowed, "BUT HERE COMES DUMBLEDEZ! Look at him, he's going in to take the Gryffindor hoops now-" Once again cringing as deafening cheers hit the air, Vladimir turned his attention back to the game once more. "Weasley's coming in, looks like she's ready to mean business - Hufflepuff Seeker Wright is off, looking for the Snitch she is - And there goes Mercer, Gryffindor Seeker, flying right after Wright, she's not going to bear losing to Wright is she now? - Mercer making a lap around the Pitch, looking out for the Snitch - Kiera realizes Troque is tailing her - Passes - Fiorelli gets it - Scores at the same time, beautiful form there - Gryf- And Bellamy saves it. Well, Hufflepuff's bound to get lucky sometimes..."
Groans, jeers, cheers, from both stands, popped up and wafted about in the air; Vladimir expected it. "Gryffindor moving in to ta- No wait, Pat' Rogers gets it! There she goes, flying off, flanked by Prince - Weasly hits a bludger towards Rogers there; wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of that girl's bat. Mind, I guess both ends hurt - Fiorelli's shooting forward now, picking up speed - Rogers dodges the bludger, still going strong - Troque flanks Rogers as well - little Hufflepuff escort flying along, Fiorelli's continuing to go at breakneck speed - Dumbledez is pretty intimidating over there, doubt anything's going to get past that guy - Gryffindor's Chasers are riled up now; Vanderhol is going after Rogers to try and intercept her - Rogers spots Vanderhol - I think... Rogers drops the quaffle! - No wait, what? Oh! - It's a discreet pass to Troque! - Troque gets it - Fiorelli still shooting forward like a madman - madgirl, sorry -"
As the audience chuckled, Vladimir's eyes watered, Quidditch went fast, he knew that, but he didn't quite expect this sort of fast - this was ridiculous! Taking a deep breath, Vladimir focused his eyes on the game and continued. "Vanderhol notices the feint - Vanderhol chasing after Troque now - Aireous makes herself known, looks ready to crack a few skulls - Rogers going in close to the hoops area, looks ready for a pass, Troque passes it to Pat' Rogers - Fiorelli gets confused, doesn't intercept the pass - Prince hits a bludger out of Rogers' way - Rogers gets the quaffle - takes a shot - Dumbledez saves it! Puts quaffle back in play, Fiorelli takes possession - Prince sends a bludger at Fiorelli - Troque takes off after Fiorelli - Dumbledez yelling a warning at his team mates - Fiorelli turns - No don't turn! - Ow!"
A low groan passed over the Gryffindor stands as they realized Andromeda Fiorelli got hit. Vladimir winced, then picked up where he had left the game. "Fiorelli takes a brutal bludger to the arm by Sam Prince, drops the quaffle - Wonder if she's alright - Vanderhol flying there as fast as she can, she's not making it in time - Troque takes possession! - Weasley hitting a bludger away from her team -Gah, I hate those skullcracking buggers - Kiera Kingsley attempting to cover in Fiorelli's absence - Gryffindor alternate beater, Moonlight, is coming in - Eh? - Well - Prince now guarding Troque's flanks, Troque goes in - takes a shot - No! Feint! - Takes the real shot - Gryffindor's Kingsley coming in fast - Dumbledez going for the feint ... no, he spots the real attempt, he saves it again!"
Vladimir breathed out in relief, wiping sweat from his brow. "Right then... Dumbledez puts quaffle back in play..." Murmurs passed over the stands, relief from the Gryffindors, mostly irritation from the Hufflepuffs. Vladimir found himself wanting to join in, but a commentator was unbiased - sad; he'd have to get used to that. "Vanderhol taking possession - Dumbledez yelling encouragement by the looks of it - anyone hear what he said? Something about cats. Maybe she's catty? - Sorry Professor! - Uh - Moonlight covering his team - Wright and Mercer continuing to search for the Snitch in frustration, poor girls, game not terribly exciting for Seekers are this point, I'm sure - Prince trying to keep up with Troque - Ooh! - That's gotta hurt - Prince gets whacked by a bludger on his arm - hand - can't tell - Dumbledez is a proper threat to the Hufflepuffs, I thought he usually didn't play as Keeper? Kiera goes shooting off again, Vanderhol still in possession..."
Taking some time to rest, Vladimir thanked his common sense he remembered to get a water bottle. Taking a quick gulp of the refreshing liquid, he prepared to continue with the lightning-fast commentary.
"Katheryn Kings' on sis's tail - Hufflepuff Seeker Wright is flying off - Mercer speeds up and goes in to see what her opponent has found - Is it the Snitch? No ... False alarm. Looks like Mercer's a bit troubled now - bout' Fiorelli perhaps?" Vladimir continued, glancing at the match and observing as the best he could. "Prince looks bothered by his injury - Flies in to the west - Sends a bludger flying at Vanderhol there ... Weasley blocks it! Good save there! Rogers and Troque both go speeding in - Kiera trying to lose her sister there - Vanderhol keeps on flyin' - Flying right for the Hufflepuff hoops - Katheryn doesn't seemed deceived, keeps tracking her sister - Dumbledez looks like he's panicking there, haha!"
Chuckling to himself - then chuckling with the audience as they joined in, Vladimir rubbed his chin as the game continued. "Weasley's keeping a lookout for Vanderhol - Bellamy spots Vanderhol racing forward, braces herself - Troque starts tailing Vanderhol - All the pressure's on Katalina Vanderhol! There she goes! Says - What? Kitty what? Anyone hear that? No? - Uh - Tosses the quaffle to Kiera! Wise move there, loses the pressure - Hold it! Who saw that?"
The stands froze for a moment when the flash of gold appeared; Vladimir gaped for a moment, then blinked. "Yes folks, that was the snitch! Hufflepuff Chaser Neita Wright goes after it, but the fast little bugger only popped up momentarily in the far east and disappeared, and there it goes, Wright loses sight of it - What's going on now then? - Uh, wait a second, that's my job isn't it - Kiera gets the pass - Flies in - Shoots - Bellamy tries t- No - GRYFFINDOR SCORES!!"
The deafening ruckus that followed was nearly enough to make Vladimir reconsider commentating. Tapping his ears a few times to make sure they still worked, Vladimir cleared his throat and continued, "A fantastic shot there by Kiera Kingsley, girl's got guts, brains, a figure, what else doesn't she h - Uh, I'll keep quiet about Kiera King's assets now since Big M' is glaring at me." Vladimir Dragonski mentally reminded himself about restrictions on language used in the commentary.
