November was a bit nervous heading into the library. She hadn't really spent time with anyone around school in a long while. Choosing to focus on classes and learning as much as she could. She spent a lot of time in the library and she wasn't surprised she'd be heading there again today to study for the upcoming Care of Magical Creatures exam. This time however she was going to be meeting a classmate, Noemie. The girl was probably one of the prettier girls in their year and a Ravenclaw so November had no doubt she was smart. Hopefully they didn't have to quiz each other she feared being outdone by the Ravenclaw. Noemie was the first to teach her the phrase muggle to refer to people without magic. November's Aunt, the only one in the immediate family who also was magic taught her to call them no-maj. But she blended in a lot more in New Zealand with calling them muggles. So she was grateful for that advice. Now she was hoping they'd be good study partners, as the young Hufflepuff hadn't found any good study partners the past few years.

Care of Magical Creatures was easily November's favorite class. She had already done some studying on her own, mostly just highlighting facts about the creatures they had learned about in class. Looking around the young teen searched for her Ravenclaw friend. Well, she wasn't sure if they were quite friends, she figured they could be friends but they needed to talk more than the occasional hello when going or leaving the same classroom. November also wondered if Noemie was going to to go to the Yule Ball. November had a dress sent from home for the ball, but she hadn't found anyone she could go with and she knew a lot of the other girls in their year were hoping to go with a date. Sighing, November gave up searching and decided to sit down in the desks away from the Librarian desk area, so that way they could talk without getting into trouble, once the Ravenclaw found her.

Noemie had arranged to spend time studying with November, it was a good arrangement she felt, they shared a number of classes but above all else they shared Care of magical creatures which while an exceedingly fun class for her, was a class that being new she felt a little uncertain. Having someone to work with on the revision was a good thing, the only problem was that Noemie was juggling her school work, with the work she was now putting into quidditch and this had a tendency to make her a little bit late. She was rushing through the halls of the school, knowing she had a limited amount of time before she would meet with November but didn't want to turn up all sweaty from quidditch practice. Thus, the girl was running up the steps, rushing to change, shower and get her books together to meet with her. It wasn't difficult and Noemie had decide to just not bother with paying too much attention to how she looked, keeping the hair down, and throwing on some random clothes for her to wear. She rushed out the room, with her bag and notes and rushed to the library.

As soon as she arrived, Noemie was pretty glad that she spent so much time running and exercising, she couldn't imagine how tiring all of that would've been if she didn't do all of that. The girl ran a hand through the auburn hair as she stepped into the library and began searching for November, as soon as she spotted her, the part veela rushed over and took a seat with her, "I'm sorry," she said quietly with an apologetic tone, and a half smile hoping this girl wouldn't be too bother by the fact that Noemie was a few minutes late. She pulled out her books and notes and placed them on the desk in front of them both, "Quidditch ran long," she gave the explanation, "I know it doesn't make up for it, but, it's why," Noemie was always looking for friends, and November seemed like such a lovely person, so she couldn't wait to be the girl's friend, she was hopeful they could be friends, "I hope you weren't waiting too long,"

November spent her time looking over her notes doing a light bit a studying before Noemie would show up. She knew the Ravenclaw did a lot of things around the school, unlike herself. November wasn't the sporty type of girl, not enjoying running or anything that would leave her with the same sensation as running. She really hadn't enjoyed Flying classes during first year. Though it was fun to see things from a bird's perspective, November decided it was best to leave the skies to the birds and not join them in flight. She did wonder what it be like if she decided to work on becoming an animagus and her inner animal spirit was some sort of bird. She thought it would probably be a penguin as they just swim fast and don't fly or run like other birds.

Looking up at the sound a another person's voice November smiled seeing Noemie. Shaking her head she responded to the girl, "Not very long, at least it doesn't seem to me like I waited long. I started to do a little bit a studying." She moved over her sprawled out notebooks and books she had brought to study with. She knew that they were going to focus on Care of Magical Creatures but she didn't think it would hurt being prepared to spend time on their other classes in case they got through the first class before the time they agreed to study for ran up. "I hope Quidditch went, uhm, flyingly?" November tried to use a sort of cool sounding statement about quidditch but she was pretty sure she just made herself sound stupid instead.

Noemie was glad that the girl hadn't been waiting for her very long, she didn't want to be the kind of person who was always so late that her friends were always waiting she knew that as she got into the swing of quidditch with her normal duties that she would eventually find a rhythm and that would help her in not being late for things, and certainly in not leaving her friends to just sit around and wait for her. She had an apologetic expression on her face, and smiled softly, looking down at her own books and notes from the class, for Noemie working with the animals had just about been the most amazing thing, she hadn't always like animals but there was something pretty amazing about magical animals, something that really enticed her. She smiled at the question, suppress the urge to laugh at the question given what November had said, flyingly, quidditch. Noemie thought it was a funny turn of phrase but she didn't know if it was meant to be or not meant to be and Noemie hardly wanted to appear rude to her but laughing at something she wasn't supposed to.

"It went swimmingly," was the phrase she decided to return, hoping that she wouldn't mind that she'd said it like that, "It went well, I was doing target practice mostly, since I'm quite new and since I'm not very good yet," Noemie told her with a small smile. She didn't know if November played any sports, and certainly not quidditch or she might've remembered playing her, "You don't play do you?" The teen pulled her work towards her before brushing loose strands of hair from her face, wondering where to start if they were studying together. Usually, Noemie just read and wrote things down, things that she needed to remember, but perhaps November studied in a different way or expected them to study in different ways if they were to really study together, "How do you want to do this?" she asked, "We could quiz each other on the material, or do you want to just read and revise?" Noemie would be happy with either option, since to her they both sounded rather good and interesting.

November worked on setting aside her notes for her other classes and spreading out her Care of Magical Creatures notes and study guide they received from the Professor. The class was interesting and November really liked it, she could see herself working with magical animals in the future, but that would all depend on how her classes the next few years went. She wasn't sure if she'd pass her big exams in the years to come or not. She hoped she'd be able to pass all her exams this semester. The last thing November wanted to do at this point was completely fail at school. She had really started to apply herself this semester and even found Noemie to study with her for exams. November knew the phrase Noemie used in return and wondered if she had made a mistake. She hadn't a clue about Quidditch lingo and hardly went to the games, preferring to study peacefully somewhere in the castle or explore the castle while everyone was out.

"That's good. And no I don't play. I'm not really a sports person," November said in reply to her new friend. "But I hope you improve and get better, of course not as good as the Hufflepuff team." She said this jokingly, not caring which team won when the two played. Looking over her notes, she wondered if she should try and quiz the Ravenclaw. November was afraid she wouldn't know any of the answers when she was quizzed so she felt like it would be better to read and revise for now. "Let's just read and revise. Maybe we could compare notes?" November had added a lot to her notes after classes when she'd go to the library and look up the creatures they studied. But she wasn't sure if she should know all the information she had gathered, or what they had learned in class.
