It was dark in the library, the only light was emitting from the few candles placed around a table. Leah Winters sat in a chair with several books sprawled around the table. She flipped through them, only pausing to pick up her quill and scribble down a note. Her thoughts were only on her studying and writing.
She had begged the librarian to allow her to stay a few extra hours to study, and naturally the librarian refused her, not wanting to place her job on the line. Leah thought back to the time Dominic and her snuck out to the grounds and decided to lay in wait for the librarian to leave. It had went flawlessly, and here she was studying and it was nearly one in the morning.

Alex had been doing his homework in the common room when he discovered he had not remembered anything on one of his DADA lessons. Crap, he thought to himself, knowing the library was bound to be shut at this time in the night. But what harm would it do to sneak in to the restricted section?
Apart from actually having to go into the library. Slipping on a jumper, he retrieved his wand and started walking to the library thinking about how he'd do it. Probably cast silencio on the stuff in front of him first he reckoned.
His feet were getting particularly cold at the moment, as he hadn't bothered wearing his shoes over his socks but he didn't mind. At least he would be quieter. As he turned the handle to the library door, he noticed a few small lights on one of the tables in the library. Peering closer, he could tell it wasn't the librarian. But who was a good question at this time.
Feeling mischievous, he walked silently behind her, making sure not to create any shadow. As he was within a couple of inches, he grinned widly before whispering the infamous word.
'Boo'

Leah concentrated heavily on her books. She had not noticed the footsteps or the sound of the door opening. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up, and she suddenly felt a presence behind her. She raised her head, and looked around before hearing, Boo!
Swearing heavily, Leah looked to see who had dared disrupt her. For a second she had thought that perhaps it was the librarian making sure she did not sneak back in, but nay, it was a young man about her age. "Who are you?"

Alex held in his laughter as the girl swore at him. As he watched her turn around, he was slightly surprised to see Leah there. She hadn't come onto him as a studious person but perhaps he had been wrong this time.
His crooked smile appeared on his face as she asked him who he was. 'Well, see. I could ask you the same question but it would probably be deemed slightly idiotic taking in the situation we have here,' he commented playfully, his white teeth showing in contrast to his pinkish lips. Straightening up again, he lifted a chair out from under the table and took a seat, facing her. But he didn't look at her for long. His interest was on mainly what she was studying in the early hours of the day.

(( Mind if I join? ))

Lily had been sitting in the Common Room, going over everything to do with Muggle Studies for the past few hours. She was setting her OWL's after the holidays and had been doing some heavy studying lately. She wanted to get into the same profession as her Dad when she left school, and that was going to require quite a bit of work. Muggle Studies wasn't one of the most needed subjects to become an auror, but Lily wanted to have good grades on all of her subjects, it would look better on her application! After twenty minutes of sitting rubbing her head, trying to remember everything about electricity, she decided a late night trip to the library was in order. There aught to be a book there about electricity, and the walk would clear her head a little. Climbing out of the portrait hole, wand in hand and dressed in a pair of worn pyjama bottoms, her Gryffindor jumper and thick wooly bed socks, Lily began to hurriedly sneak along the corridors, tip-toeing so as to keep as quiet as possible. Arriving in front of the library doors, Lily grinned, glad she had made it without being caught. Suddenly a thought hit her, what if the Librarian had locked the doors when she had left? Grasping the door handle she pushed forward and the door opened, without creaking. Lily smiled and slid through the space she had made, closing the door behind her and storing her wand up her sleeve. Beginning to make her way down a Bookshelf labeled 'E', Lily heard voices, coming from deeper within the library. Furrowing her brow, she curiously wandered down the aisle between book shelves until she came to a table, a boy and girl were sat around it and a few candles lit the small area. Lily blinked, the light irritating her eyes a little, having just been in darkness. "Oh, hey" She smiled at the boy and girl, tucking a long strand of red hair behind her ear, a little startled. She hadn't expected anybody else to be in here so late, or so early, depending on which way you chose to look at it.

"And what do you mean by that?" Leah asked him. In fact, she did not have to ask his name. She knew exactly who he was. It was Alex Cullen, the guy who got punched by Alexander. In truth, if Leah was a very loyal friend she would stand up and leave immediately, but it was as much as Maddiie's fault that they kissed as Alex's. She really didn't care, but she wasn't in the situation, anyhow.
Suddenly another student appeared. Her irritation at being disrupted was mounting, and she snapped, "It's after hours. You should be in bed." After saying it, she realized how ridiculus she sounded. It was another time that those words were being said to her by a certain Slytherin prefect and she had retorted with, You're breaking the rules too.
Leah took a breath and smiled at the girl. It was fake, but it would have to do. "What brings you here?" She asked with interest.

((Yep, the more the merrier!))

( yay :woot: )

Alex smiled at Leah. He reckoned she was just asking herself aloud because he wasn't going to give her an answer to that question. It was ridiculous if he did. Alex smirked to himself as she snapped at the other girl. But he pretended to be more interested in the notes until Leah's tone of voice changed.
Looking up finally, he noticed it was a younger girl, who looked as if she was a Gryffindor. Course, there was absolutely no hints with the outfit she had on. 'Hey,' he greeted her, curious to hear her answer. After all, he was the prefect here and if he choose to, he could easily send them both to their HoH's in the morning.

(( Thanks guys ^_^ ))

Lily raised an eyebrow slightly as the girl said that it was after hours and that she should be in bed. "I could say the same to you" she replied, her tone of voice not it's usual friendly self, she hoped this girl wasn't one of those stuck up themselves type! Dropping her eyebrow she returned the girls smile, the difference being Lily's wasn't fake!
"I was up revising for Muggle studies and I can't remember a thing about how electricity works", she replied to the girl, "I came in search for a book" she added, smiling at the boy as he greeted her. Pulling a chair from another table over, she sat herself down, running her fingers through her hair to try and tame it a little, but it remained a fluffy mess. "So, who are you's?" she asked with a friendly smile, not recognizing any of them.

Leah smirked as the girl said the same thing she would have said in the situation. "Yes, I probably should." She agreed. Her smile faded, as she listened to the girls connundrum. "Muggle Studies are right over there." She pointed at the middle case behind them. "There are alot of books on electricity so be prepared." She paused to take a breath. "I am Leah Winters."

Alex smiled back to the girl happily enough as he heard the two girls start talking about electricity. He couldn't understand how some people just didn't know normal muggle things like that. To him it was common knowledge. He looked at the girl, trying to see if she looked familiar but alas, nothing registered with him.
'You know, I could always help you with muggle studies if you want.' he offered to her before deciding to explain himself. 'I come from a muggle background.' He gave a smile, before standing up. The chair scraped against the floor slightly, the sound of the screeching filled the silent room easily.
Alex cursed silently, expecting the sound of footsteps to join their quiet voices soon enough. 'Hmm, wonder if the restricted area 'll still be open,' he mused walking over to the shelfs nearest them and starting to browse through the books, though he highly doubted he'd find what he was looking for in there.
