Rome disliked studying, she really did and so was much happier she found when she was on the quidditch pitch, or just in anywhere where she could annoy people, but the start of term always brought such boredom and Rome disliked boredom, it was a recipe generally for disaster with her, there was no good that could come of Rome being bored, and this much was obvious when she went to the antiquated bathroom, and just tried to decided what she should do, if she should do something. The now third year teen glanced around herself and then looked to the bathroom mirrors, she steamed up the glass with her breath and then wrote easily on the glass. The blonde stepped back, watching as her work faded and then decided that she could just do something else, something more fun. So, the teen turned on all the taps, blocking the drain so that the water would flow over to the flower and then after taking a moment positioned herself to be lying on the ground near where the water was soon to be over flowing and causing huge amounts of puddles all over the room. She knew that this wasn't a particularly fun, but if someone noticed the water and ran in all they would see was Rome lying on the ground and she was sure to be able to come up with a way of having fun with it the only issue being was that it was very boring and she couldn't help but feel like she would just get, just as bored with just lying around waiting for something to happen as she might if she were actually doing something of use, something which even in her mind was fun. Only time would tell, if this scheme to lie on the floor with water growing around her would be something that would be good or if it would be bad.

During yet another round of exploration, Twyla passed by a seemingly unused door and almost kept going. She had thought nothing of the door at first but then she heard the flowing of taps from within. That alone was enough to peak her interest, so she opened the door and headed in.

It appeared to be some kind of abandoned bathroom, full of old sinks and equipment, but that was not the most interesting thing about it. The most interesting thing was the girl laying on the floor with the water Twyla had heard building up around her. If this was left alone, it would surely cause some kind of flood, but all Twyla did was stare down at the girl and cross her arms.

"Are you some kind of wannabe mermaid or something?" she asked.

The lull between returning to school and starting a new year of class was when Cairo always found himself plagued with boredom. He often tried to bury it by reading a book and calming himself in the words he was reading but just as often as he read, he grew bored with reading and that was the exact reason he was walking around the castle in search of his twin sister that day. His search lead him into the depths of the dungeons before later leading his steps to the fifth floor corridor and the Antiquated Lavatory. The now third year was not exactly expecting to find his sister there because she was equally as likely to be in one place as she could be in another though he was glad when he did find her and his long search had finally ended. The circumstances of how he found her was another story however.

He walked in to the room, hands buried in his pockets as he surveyed the area while kicking at the growing puddles on the tiled floor. He then looked up to see what clearly was Rome lying on the ground as well as an unfamiliar girl who was clearly younger than them both. This was Rome's doing, through and through. It fit her personality to a t though it was a little erratic for Cairo's tastes. He was tempted to clap sarcastically and tell his sister she could do better but he opted for an option more interesting and moved his hands from his pockets to place them on the sides of his face as he gasped. "Rome!" He shouted as he ran to his sisters side and placed his hands on her shoulders, shaking her slightly as if she were unconscious. When he found no reaction on his sister's face he leaned in closer to hear her breathing. She was breathing normally though it did not appear that way and Cairo was not about to reveal that as he waited momentarily with a look of shock on his face before moving his gaze to the unfamiliar girl and saying "What did you do to her?!" with a tone of urgency and anger.

Twyla just crossed her arms and stared confidently down at Rome. "I didn't do anything to her, I found her like this." She was capable of telling the truth when it didn't hurt her not to, after all. "I think she thinks she's a mermaid. Ask her yourself." Twyla shrugged, unfazed by the girl's prank. Some part of her did almost think this girl really was dead, but she had once pulled a very similar trick with her own parents involving her house's bathtub. All it took was a bit of stage breathing and the patience to remain very still and not scratch any itches.

Then she thought about the possibility that this boy legitimately thought she was dead, and her tone switched to a softer one. "She's okay, really, I promise. She's just trying to make people think she drowned. I did it myself once."
