Professor's Rose

[Beata Yakovleva-Ives]

Beata loudly knocked on the door. "Hello, Professor! I need to speak with you!" she said as she held a yellow rose in her hand.

Matt was enjoying a quiet moment with a book, and was startled when someone suddenly banged on the door. He heard a student say she needed to talk to him, and was immediately concerned. He headed over to the door quickly. "Is everything alright?" He asked the girl standing there with a slight frown.

 

[Beata Yakovleva-Ives]

Beata nodded with a smile on her face as she held out the yellow rose to the man. He handed him the note separately.

Matt hadn't noticed the roses the girl was carrying until she held one out. "Oh, for me?" He asked, a smile appearing on his face. "Oh wow, thanks!" He said, grinning now. He took the note and read it, smiling at the message. It was sweet of Jon to send him a note, and he'd thank his colleague the next time he saw him.
