The date was October 31st 2043. It would be the girls first Halloween at Hogwarts, and while they hadn't decided to go as a group this year, everyone wanted to dress up and attend the feast in costume. Geo walked along the corridor, down to the storage room they'd recently found. Although discreet, it was easily enough for the first year to relocate, and approaching the small wooden door in the wall, she removed her wand from her jeans. She was not yet dressed in costume, and wanted to get ready with her friends. Checking that the coast was clear of any students wanting to steal their space, Geo pushed into the heavy stiff door, hoping it would shift as before . As it did, she grinned to herself and entered, surprised that it would appear she was the first there unless they were upstairs. "Hello?" She called out, but to no reply.

Walking through the archway and pulling the store room door back shut behind her, Geo now stood in the small hidden room the girls had been calling their second home in the school. They still needed to decorate it, but for now it would do as their meeting point. Geo turned right and raced up the circular stairs, and found herself in an empty clearing. Making her way to the windows she looked out across the Quidditch pitch. There were a few people practicing for the next game, and it dawned on the first year just how much she hoped to be a part of it. Geo was only struck from her thoughts when she heard the wooden door open once more downstairs, and she turned her head quickly towards the staircase, hoping to see one of the others.

It was exciting to be a part of something bigger at Hogwarts. She had finally found a home and a group of friends that actually were her friends. Elly had finally found a bunch of people that liked her rather than just accepted her to be around. She loved having classes with her friends. They were there for her and she would be there for them. So she had decided to draw the whole group to hang it into their hangout. She had gotten better into putting detail in faces. She wasn't much of a portrait artist, she drew landscapes. They didn't move or complain when their hair wasn't up to par. Elly smiled, she was ready to show the group what she had made. She wanted to pimp up the walls somewhat, make it feel more like home. She had framed the picture she had made of the group. It was hard to get a frame in, but her dad had bought one and had it delivered by owl. It was odd that her dad had bought a owl so he could still chat with his daughter. It was their only way of communication at the moment. The owl had delivered the frame and Elly had put it in nicely, she didn't want the drawing to be damaged by anything. She also had put some of her stash of chocolate into a duffel bag. The chocolate she had bought when she was in Obsidian Harbour. It didn't seem to have any expiration date, maybe because it was magical. Elly had checked behind her every so often to check if she wasn't followed. It would be disastrous if someone would find out their hide out and claim it as theirs. The hideout was finally a spot that Elly could get used to for seven years. No more moving, she was going to stay for the first time in almost seven years. When she got to the entrance she took one glimpse behind her. No one was in sight and she was ready to open the door. She wished she could do some locking charms already. But they were in their second year, they did come easy to her. Well, non moving magical types were worse. She was still clumsy and still got sick in flying. The door opened and Elly walked in, just to see Geo already being there. She gave her a tight squeeze and excitingly showed her the frame. ''See! That is you'' She pointed to a pink haired person on the drawing. When Geo was done looking at the picture, she found a good spot at the wall and decided to hang it up. She threw her duffel bag into the corner and retried some of the food and drinks she had confiscated. ''Want something?''Elly asked, she was hungry and thirsty from being so paranoid of being followed.

As Elly bounded up the stairs, Geo's face lit up when she realised it was her best friend. Her arms naturally threw themselves around Ellys shoulders as she approached, before Geo was shown the latest of Ellys artworks. "Oh my god you're so amazing at this" She looked closely at the portrait of the group, identifying their Gryffindors friends as well. As Elly went to hang it on the wall, Geo hoped one day the whole store room would be covered in mementos and pieces, dedicated to their friendship. The girls, asides from Jess and Leila, hadn't been friends very long at all, but Geo felt as though these students were her new family, and even if they were in different houses they always seemed to have each others backs. "ooo cupcakes!" Geo grinned and picked out a large pink cupcake from the basket from which the genius had brought with her. They definitely needed snacks in a place like this.

Geo wanted to show her friends something important today, and she hoped the others would be along shortly so they could begin preparations for the halloween feast. "What are you going as tonight?" She asked, curious as to whether anyone in the group had had a similiar thought.

Today was Halloween, and Sophie didn't have a costume or anyone to celebrate the holiday with. She was feeling moody and angry at her past self for declaring Halloween "childish" when Amber had suggested costumes for her to bring. Now she just looked like a fool and didn't want to go to the feast just dressed as herself. She had spent most of the day just wandering the castle, eating candy, and moping. Without really thinking about it she found herself near the room she and some other girls had found. She knew that Geo's group was now using it as a sort of base, which sounded kind of cool even to her. Maybe she should go see if they were there? But what if they didn't want her to come? She hesitated for a long moment before going to the door and pushing it open. There was only one way to find out.

Inside she heard voices. One was Geo, who she had expected, and the Elly, who she knew from her dorm. It was sort of a relief not to be bombarded by the excited energy of the two Gryffindors, though she still felt incredibly awkward. She wondered again if she should just go but instead she made herself climb the stairs. "Um, hi." She said as she saw the two girls. "I hope I'm not like, intruding. I was bored." She shrugged awkwardly. She spotted the drawing and couldn't help but appreciate it, she liked to draw as well though it was less realistic and more cartoony. "Did you draw that?" She asked Elly as she tried to look casual instead of awkward. "Not bad."
