Henry left the potions class room with a frown, once again he had screwed up his potion somehow and it had melted his cauldron. He pushed past some of the kids snickering at him and continued on his way a little faster. Stupid potions class, useless anyways he told himself. Henry looked up and realized he had somehow made it to a tower. He walked up to a window and stuck his head outside and looked around. It was a nice enough day, maybe he would even play some quidditch later.

Odette was crying in the corner of a tower. She didn't even notice when a boy walked in, she was to busy thinking about the fight she had over heard, 'She's not even my daughter! How can you expect me to put up with this epileptic crap!'. Her stepmothers words rang in her eyes. She was such a burden to her parents. Jaidyn (her twin) was perfect. She sobbed quietly. If it wern't for school Atticus and Jaidyn she wasn't sure how she would make it through. She wiped her mitch matched eyes as more tears fell down her cheeks.

Henry was so caught up he hadn't noticed someone crying until then. He spun around and saw a girl sitting in the corner crying. He knew her from class although they never really talked, he didn't like seeing her cry though. Henry went and sat beside her, "Hey whats wrong?" he asked quietly.

Odette looked up and quickly wiped the tears from her eyes. She saw a boy he was her grade and hung out with the more popular crowd. She sighed. "Just... having some family issues." She hoped he wouldn't make fun of her, or tell everyone he had found her up her crying. She knew she must look horrible all red-eyed and puffy.

Henry gave her a small comforting smile, "I understand, family can be hell sometimes, you can tell me about it if you want" he replied. Henry had forgotten about potions, its not like it was the first time he had messed it up somehow. He really wanted to make this girl feel better, Henry knew how it felt to have fights in the family, they used to be regular around his house.

Odette smiled slightly. She didn't normally tell people about her problem, but he seemed nice enough. "Well my dad just got re-married. And I'm a twin, and she hates me. It's just because I'm sick and it's not my fault. She loves Jaidyn but me..." She stopped her mother was so unfair. SHe couldn't control if she had a attack or not. It made her so mad.

Henry listened as the girl talked about what was going on at home, he felt really bad for her. Henry gave her another smile and put his arm around her in a comforting way, "Hey its okay Cinderella, your the princess in this story and everyone knows the princess always trumps the wicked stepmother" he replied trying to cheer her up.

Odette laughed. He sure knew how to cheer a girl up. "That's the nicest thing anyone's said in a while, it really cheered me up, Thank you." She felt the comfort of his arm around her shoulder. He barley knew her but he seemed to really be trying to make her feel better. It gave her new hope. Her mom couldn't win, not when there were still good people in the world.

Henry felt good when she laughed, it was nice to know he had helped someone. "Your certainly welcome," he replied before leaning back against the wall. "So tell me Cinderella, how come we've never talked before? Were in the same year and everything and you seem really nice" he asked.

Odette shrugged. She had kept to herself these last few years. SHe thought about telling him her name but she was really liking Cinderella. "I'm glad we are talking now, most people don't notice me no matter what I do." She toyed with her pink and blonde hair. She tryed to stad out with her style and personality but it seemed no one noticed anyway so she had kinda givin up.

Henry watched as she played with her pink hair, pink really did suit her. "Well its their loss" he replied softly. Henry looked out the window and noticed the sun going down, had they really been up there that long? Henry pulled himself up from the floor and walked over to the window, Its a really nice sunset he thought to himself watching the sun go down.

Odette walked over to see what he was looking at and gasped. It was the most beautiful sunset she had ever seen. She hadn't realized she had been here so long. She had come running up after lunch after all. She looked at him and liked the way the dim light hit him. It made him seem like atrue prince charming. She wondered if he thought so too.
