When the idea of interviewing the sons of the current minister in light of the upcoming election campaigns was brought up, Nixon jumped at the opportunity, wanting to prove himself as a writer and take part in something bigger than himself. An interview with the student sons of the current minister of magic would be a great way to make the students at Hogwarts interested in the election, and for Noah and Jacob themselves to let their voices be heard. Knowing he would be the one ensuring their voices were published and that the school was able to play a part in an event within the wider wizarding community made Nixon feel happier than he was able to remember. He wanted to do the minister's sons justice and write an article with honest, no holds barred questions about what they thought and what they wanted from the ministry, away from the influence of their family. It was those genuine opinions that were important and what he thought students wanted to hear so he worked harder than he ever had to make the interview a success.

The interview was indeed a success thus far as far as Nixon was concerned, and he was nothing but excited when the questions were wrapped up and he got out the magical camera, setting it up on a tripod so he could take photos of the boys for the article. Cameras in general were still a new concept to him from not having one in his own home and Nixon did not feel confident levitating the camera on his own yet hence the use of a tripod, but he was slowly but surely teaching himself to be a photographer for the sake of the hogwarts monthly. "Alright, who wants to have their photo taken first?" Nixon smiled when the camera clicked into place.

Answering the questions had been difficult. It was as if Nixon expected that he knew a lot about politics, and while that was probably a reasonable thought to have, his parents had purposely tried their best to keep their children from that world. Of course they hadn't been entirely successful as they had no control over the things other people said and did, and Jacob had eventually come to realize that the average family was not photographed by strangers on a regular basis. It was pretty funny that Jacob had developed an interest in photography himself, though it made sense. He was able to take control and get the photos he wanted. But that didn't mean he liked being in front of the camera any more. "You first, Noah" he gave his brother a nudge, even though he knew his older brother outweighed him. If he didn't want to go somewhere, Jacob sure wasn't going to be able to push him there.
