Trophy Showcase:
Felicita Audrey Raven was a very curious individual. She would readily admit that half - or quite possibly more than half - that the trouble she and her twin, Artemisa, got into was because of her own curiosity. She longed to know how and why things worked and she was quite willing to do a lot to achieve the knowledge she was seeking at that single moment. Of course, today, it just so happened that the thing she was trying to figure out was how magical portraits work and how different were they from muggle ones. Of course she could easily figure out that muggle photos do not move while magic ones does and the probable cause was likely magic. But how it worked was what she was trying to figure out at the moment as she stared at one of the many portraits lining up the walls of the second floor corridor. It wasn't the first she had wondered of course, but right now her curiosity was definitely not overshadowed by the fear of Uncle Liam, Auntie Ai and Mummy catching her. Sure, if the professors caught her it'd be trouble but that was definitely no biggie at all. Besides, the portraits were not of her ancient relatives so they weren't very stern-looking or scary for that matter so it was a lot easier to wonder how they worked. She wished Artemisa were here right now to help figure it out. But well, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. And right now, that was definitely taking down one of the portraits to dismantle it and figure out how it worked. Felicita approached one of the smaller moving portraits and placed her hands on the frame trying to gauge its weight, this was going to take a while.

Lauden Zhefarovich walked around the second floor corridor, after leaving the trophy room. He wanted to see if his parents were in there, but Ariah and Leviathan did not really do much in their school days apparently. He had other family members do things in the school, but his parents must have been rather lazy. As he left the corridor, he noticed another Ravenclaw touching the edge of a moving portrait. Lauden cocked his head to the side, and approached her. He recognized her from classes. Um, Raven? Felicita? Yes, that was it. After hearing all their names during roll call, he memorized some of them from his house. Lauden approached her and decided to ask what was going on. “What are you doing? And, do you need help with whatever you are doing?” The Ravenclaw had no idea what to expect, but figured that this was the best way to figure it out.

If she had been in Nightray manor, Feli would have flinched and drew her hand back - and well, depending on who it was, probably also run as fast as she possibly could. But well, since she was in Hogwarts where most of the professors were only mildly making her nervous, she merely looked at the person who spoke while she kept her hand on the frame. Well, another thing that didn't scare her was probably cause the voice didn't sound old anyways. Felicita stared at the guy for a couple of moments, he was familiar, a housemate if she recalled correctly, one with the family name that half the population of Hogwarts seem to have. Zevarich or something. It was a really long name. Deciding on what she should do now that she had been caught, and well, since the guy was offering his help, Feli looked at the portrait once more before turning her attention back to the boy. "Help would be nice," the Ravenclaw girl said with a smile before gesturing towards the portrait. "I was going to take down the portrait by myself," she said, her smile not wavering at all while the inhabitants of the portrait started to yell in indignation, while the other portraits began to look in curiosity. Felicita didn't mind though, they weren't the least bit scary. Her cheer was not wavering at all. "I want to dismantle them to figure out how they work."

The Ravenclaw smiled a little when she said that she could use the help, but then it fell somewhat when she mentioned what it was. He was unsure if he should help her with that or not. Lauden reached around on the back of his neck. "Yeah, you probably shouldn't take down any portrait. You might get in trouble, or hurt yourself." Lauden started, but fell in silence after hearing what the reason behind it is. She wanted to study it? Lauden waved his hands around to get her attention, and to keep her from going any further with the task. "If you wanted to see how they work, maybe you should ask someone else, or go to the library. With magic involved, taking things apart won't help you figure it out." Lauden was not too sure about how portraits worked, but that was what common sense told him, mainly about magic.

Felicita hummed as the boy told her that she'd probably hurt herself. Oh, she didn't really doubt that as a possibility. These portraits were heavy. Even the one she had already picked out. It was quite smaller than the other ones but it was still considerably heavy for a girl her age, which was why she had been all too accepting of the boy's offer of help - which seemed to be off the table now. Feli mentally shrugged, she couldn't blame him for not wanting to get into trouble, not that she cared much about getting into trouble herself. She was quite used to it by now really. Besides, this wasn't the worst she had done yet, or so she thought. "Do you know someone we could ask?" she asked. She didn't like the professors she had encountered in classes very much. She didn't think the Flying or Astronomy or Herbology professors had enough knowledge on the portraits to actually explain efficiently how they worked. Auntie Ai hadn't been able to and she was one of the best people she knew. Her grandparents didn't like explaining things, and she and Misa tended to avoid the grumpy, old people as best they could. Of course she had also thought to go to the library, but there was also something about seeing things personally than just reading about them that appealed to the Ravenclaw. Besides while reading was a good activity for pursuit of knowledge, just reading wasn't quite enough in her opinion. "Technically, it wouldn't hurt to try taking things apart even if there's magic involved. Experience is also learning, but I concede to your point that the library might be a good place to start," the girl said with a smile before taking her hands off the portrait - the inhabitants breathing a sigh of relief - before approaching the boy and holding out her hand. "Felicita Audrey. Pleased to meet you outside the classroom," the girl grinned.

Lauden had to think of who to ask. Who would know those things? He reached around the back of his head before shrugging, “Any professor? Professor Josephs might know about those things since she teaches that Runes subject. She might help.” Lauden figured that their Head of House would come in handy with information like that. Though, often he did not know what the point of them were, actually. The library would likely have more information than anything else. Not only that, reading was fun rather. Lauden enjoyed it. He enjoyed it a lot. She then said that it wouldn’t hurt to take things apart, but judging by the habitants of the portraits when she took her hands off of the frame, it might have. Lauden kept his mouth shut over this, however. Her name was Felicita. Last name had to be Raven. He recognized that one from sorting. He smiled, “Lauden Zhefarovich, pleased to meet you too.” He gave her hand a small shake, before placing it at his side again.

Felicita hummed at the suggestion. Professor Josephs might be a good place to start if there were runes involved in portrait making. It was such an interesting topic to the girl at the moment - probably because of her inherent impulsiveness. At least her impulsive tendencies were significantly less than that of Chia's. "Maybe I'll ask her about it some time," she said. Well, now that she was not taking apart the portrait, she was kind of now at a lost of what she could do for the afternoon. She had been hoping that the portrait dismantling would take up most of her time this day to stave off the boredom but since Lauden had just talked her out of doing that, she now had too much time on her hands. And well, without Chia or Corey or Soro around since they were all in classes, things would just get boring if she were to spend the afternoon alone. "What were you planning to do today? Before managing to stop me from dismantling portraits of course," she asked the boy, curiosity lacing her tone. Well, since he had talked her out of her afternoon plans, maybe he'd give her new plans on how to spend her free afternoon today.
