Tempest had not really ventured into all the places that Hogwarts had to offer. She had spent too much time the past few years being obsessed with June, and while part of her was starting to realize why, the other part was hard ignoring it. As the Slytherin took a seat near the Rosebush, she wondered how a student could die on the grounds with all the protections there were, but then she remembered all the ridiculous things younger students tried and realized it was probably easier than she thought. Taking out her charms book, she sat it down and pulled out her wand. Tempest gathered some dead leaves and was planning to catch them on fire, just a small one, so she could practice an exstinguishing charm.

Hinata could not believe how fast the break went. It had been such a chaotic time at home that she didn't really feel like she had time to breathe. She'd thought that meeting Kai-chan and Je-chan would be overwhelming enough - finding out Rica-nee was pregnant was a shock to the system. And she'd given birth early too, which was quite the scare. Thankfully, her sister and her new nephew - that was still so weird - Sora-chan were alright. With all the chaos at home, she might be a little glad that she was back in school, even if she missed spending time with the babies already. She figured though, that it was best to get some studying and fresh air in while the semester was still in the early stages, which is how she found herself near the Rosebush. When she caught sight of someone else there, Hina hesitated. She wasn't really one to talk to people - it made her too nervous, but the girl gathering dead leaves made her curious. Not curious enough to approach but at least curious enough to watch from where she stood indecisively off to the side.

Tempest was beginning her work on non-verbal magic, although it wasn't going well. After staring at the pile of leaves for a moment, she waved her wand. "Incendio," she whispered, watching a small fire appear on the leaves as they started to crinkle away, specks flying into the air as she decided just in that moment to actually read the spell she was supposed to be doing. She pointed her wand back at the fire and murmured the incantation for the extinguishing spell, watching as a brief spark from her wand came forward and instead of putting out the fire, made it bigger. She felt the fire hit her knee and cursed before jumping up to stomp the fire out. It wasn't big enough that water was needed but enough that smoke was now starting to appear the embers. She started to feel the air hit the burn on her knee that had made its way through her tights, and the Slytherin cursed again.

Hinata probably should have had a little bit of a clue about what Vero-san was trying to do when she actually started to gather kindle for a fire. But even if she did, she wasn't sure if warning the other girl that practicing the fire spell on grass would be the smartest of ideas. Hinata herself had practiced the spell in the dungeons under her Slytherin friends' supervision. Stone at least wouldn't catch fire as easily as grass would. When the Slytherin started cursing, Hinata quickly made her way, and though Vero-san had already stomped on the fire, she cast the extinguishing spell just in case. "Are you alright?" she asked softly.
