FULL NAME
Pixie Dreki Longmire

MEANING
Pixie - The name Pixie means Fairy and is of Irish origin. Pixie is a name that's been used by parents who are considering baby names for girls. Variations of the name Pixie: Pyxie.
Dreki - Icelandic name. Old Norse dreki = 'dragon
Longmire - Longmire Name Meaning. English: habitational name from a minor place in the parish of Windermere, Cumbria, named in Middle English as long ‘long’ + myre, mire ‘marsh’, ‘bog’ (Old Norse mýrr)

WHY
The name Pixie was given to her by her adoptive parents. It is unclear what happened to her biological parents, nor was it clear who Pixie was. She was found in a rainforest on the Island of Tasmania. Given the circumstances surrounding her being found it was quite widely reported in local newspapers, with pleas for family to come forward. When nothing happened, her adoptive parents who had been living at the time in Melbourne Australia, travelled to where Pixie was and formally first fostered her and then adopted her. They were the ones who decided to name her Pixie. She was a rather small, they believe near year old baby when she was found, with wide expressive eyes and a short tuff of brown hair. They decided that she was Pixie like and thus called her that. The middle name of Dreki came much later, her adoptive parents have always been pretty open about Pixie’s origin to her though she would’ve always figured it out and from a very young age, Pixie had lots of dreams of dragons, varying in sizes and in shape. Everything she opened for a period when she was young was dragon related. She did mostly grow out of it, but when she was eight decided that she wanted her middle name to be Dreki, which is Icelandic for Dragon. She doesn’t why the Icelandic appealed to her the most but it did and she’s very thankful her adoptive parents let her pick and keep this name. The surname Longmire is obvious just the family name of her adoptive parents. It’s been in her adoptive father’s family for generations, since from how he tells it since they came to Australia. Pixie doesn’t mind her name, since her name was given to her later and there’s no way for her to know what her birth name was, she’s had less of an attachment to her name in general. She doesn’t mind it. She wouldn’t necessarily change it, it’s just something that is.

NICKNAMES
With a name like Pixie she doesn’t have that many nicknames. Some of her young adoptive siblings refer to her as Pix, or Xie, just something that’s usually a little easier and quicker to say than Pixie. But she doesn’t mind what people call her, she is indifferent to how people refer to her. It’s just not something she cares as much about.

AGE
Currently Pixie is 11 years old. Her adoptive family is huge, just by the sheer fact that twins run prominently in the adoptive family, so birthdays are not always a big deal. Pixie’s birthday specificall is not the date of her actual birthday, it’s just the day she was adopted into the family. Her birthday is usually remembered by a few quick happy birthdays and on a few occasions with the family being featured in a muggle article about how she was found. There has been a bit of interest in how she’s getting on from local papers both from Tasmania and in Perth where her family currently live. She doesn’t mind when this happens, usually because it means little attention is given to her, though the articles are about her, it’s usually with her parents and her birthday is usually just all that, with nothing else. They don’t really do parties in the family but there’s usually more emphasis during dinner which doesn’t happen when there are reporters or they do something else during the birthday.

D.O.B.
14 July. This is not the exact date, since they’ll never know it. They believed she was about a year old by her development, size and weight but there was no way to know for certain. There were a lot of birth records checked when she was found for around the time, but they couldn’t spot anything which led police to believe that her parents perhaps weren’t from Australia. They think it is pretty close, that they might be out by a month either side. She was small but there was never any indication that this was anything other than just genetically she was small.

FATHER
Kevin Longmire - is a muggle man, he was born and raised in Darwin, Australia. He was one of two children of a largely loveless relationship, he was twin and his twin brother died when he was quite young. He was very lonely as a child and eventually left home at 16 years old and travelled to Sydney. He met the love of his life when he moved within ten minutes of being in Sydney, he was looking for work at a local construction site, where her father worked. They had an instant connection and the relationship began. She fell pregnant within three months of them being together and they decided to get married. They remained in Sydney for a few years with Kevin working for her father and she finished up school and went to college for a qualification in child care. They moved to Melbourne where Kevin was able to get more work and had a number of other children. His wife’s sister passed away leaving two boy, which they then adopted into their own family. They found out about Pixie and went with the whole family to Tasmania to be able to adopt her. They ran into some issues just with the size of the family, but his wife father stepped in and smoothed over the process. After this they moved to Perth, deciding to move out to a ranch style house on the outskirts of the town. Kevin worked a number of jobs and current leases out bounce castle for kid’s birthdays. They make extra money because they’ll sell articles about the size of the family and about Pixie. He has been working on a book for a number of years about being a father to so many kids but he has never finished it.

MOTHER
Sydney “Burner” Longmire. Sydney is muggle, she was born and raised in Sydney Australia. She was from a relatively large family and from a young age knew she wanted to work with children. She loved children. She met her husband when she was 16 years old, they had an instant connection and she balanced her children with her education until she had her qualifications. She was pretty pleased with herself when she did. She loves children and loves her adoptive children. She has never minded having children. The last few have been real tricky but she’ll never actively stop herself from being able to have kids, she’s just lucky in her mind to have twins genetically in her and her husband’s family. She runs a popular day care centre.

SIBLING(S)
Pixie has 19 adoptive siblings. 9 adoptive brothers and 10 sisters. Genetically the family is quite a marvel with so many twins being born. Two of the her adoptive brothers were also adopted by the parents, but they were the children of her adoptive mother’s sister, so were partially still related to the family.

OTHER
She has adoptive grandparents on both sides, but she doesn’t care for either.

RELATIONSHIP TO FAMILY
Pixie has a difficult relationship with her adoptive family. She is of course appreciative of them adopting her, but the family is huge, and she is very often forgotten, she doesn’t get that much attention apart from on her birthday and when someone comes to speak with her. She has varying relationships with her siblings, with the ones quite a bit older she has a difficult relationship with, they are quite dismissive of her and treat her differently from the biological siblings. Especially because at times she’ll get a lot of specific attention which no one else gets. She is closer with the siblings that are similar ages to her, and with some of the younger ones, but she keep herself separate. She doesn’t always play and is most likely to do something on her own. She has one sibling who is close to her in age and has no twin of his own, so they are close but she’s not that close to any of them. They exist to her in her life. She doesn’t think she loves them, and doesn’t think they really love her, but she wouldn’t mind if she’d ended up at a different family in a different location. She likes being alone, which she always wonders if she would still like if she’d be in a family which paid her more attention if she’d still like it. With her currently she wouldn’t want to be in a family that paid her more attention.

PET(S)
Despite living on a large ranch type property, there are no pets in the house. Her adoptive mother is allergic to cats and dogs so they’ve never gotten any animals.

BLOOD STATUS
Unknown. With the fact she doesn’t know who her parents actually are there’s no way for her to know what her parents were.

THOUGHTS ON BLOOD STATUS
It was quite a surprise to her adoptive parents about the fact she has magic. Pixie was less surprised by it since from about seven years old she kept being able to do odd things and weird unexplained things. Her parents did immediately want to capitalise on her being a witch as a new part to Pixie’s story but obviously they were told they were not allowed to. Pixie isn’t disappointed by this magic, she had wondered what it would mean and can’t wait to learn magic.

HOMETOWN
She has really only known Perth, Australia. She doesn’t know where she was originally from and there are doubts to her being from Tasmania.

CURRENT RESIDENCE
She currently resides in Perth Australia. It is a large house with plenty of outdoor space. She shares a bedroom with several siblings around her own age, just with the size of the family, they would always be a little on top of each other.

THE PLACE TO LIVE
Pixie doesn’t know where she’d like to live. She knows she wants to leave Perth, it is isolated and boring and she’d rather be anywhere else. But doesn’t know anything specifically about where she would want to go. She isn’t sure travelling would really be for her like long term travelling, but she’d be keen to just go somewhere.

PREVIOUS HOMES
She has lived in a house in Melbourne, but was too young to remember it. She doesn’t remember anything prior to it.

SEXUAL ORIENTATION
Doesn’t know. But from what she has learned from listening to other people talk about it she thinks she might end up being asexual, mostly because of her deep desire to just be alone most of the time and her lack of interest really in making friends. So she thinks she might be ace, but she hasn’t really had anything or felt anything to prove if she is or isn’t.

CURRENT RELATIONSHIP STATUS
None- she’s too young and completely uninterested for that.

CRUSHES PAST AND PRESENT

HAIR STYLE
Pixie has shoulder length curly dark brown hair, it sits just at or just below shoulders. She cuts it herself, not wanting to bother and not bother anyone, she also wouldn’t trust her adoptive parents to know what to do with her hair. It is always a little unkempt therefore, and has varying lengths but it is all shoulder length. She doesn’t mind the way her hair looks, she just likes to let it sit naturally. SHe’s watched videos on how to look after it, to make sure it doesn’t get too damaged but that’s about all she knows about hair. She doesn’t do too much with it, never really caring about how it actually looks.

HAIR HAS BEEN DYED
She hasn’t yet dyed her hair but she very much wants to. She wants to go to a blonde colour or a silver, any colour really. She thinks it could be cool to have her hair be pink or like blue. She’d just want to experiment. She doesn’t think that her hair being a certain means anything, she doesn’t know her real parents at all, so it’s not like she can connect to them with how she looks.

EYE COLOUR
Pixie has light brown eyes. She is different from her adoptive family, most of whom have blue eyes. She doesn’t mind it really - again much like her hair she has no connection to her family with it. She likes the colour and they look nice and she thinks that they suit her face quite a lot. Despite not entirely caring about how she looks, Pixie does like how she looks.

BIRTHMARKS/FRECKLES/SCARS
She has no scars, though she is active she isn’t one to really fall over and she doesn’t get involved in her siblings games so she least likely to end up getting injured for any given reason. She has a couple of freckles, mostly hidden under clothes. She has no birthmarks. THe lack of birthmarks was why it was quite difficult for them to figure out who she was or who her family was.

BODY TYPE
Pixie is not unlike her name. She is a small compact girl. She is slim with little height to her. Smaller in all ways than most of her peers. She’s never been overly sporty since that would put her in the middle of other people and she’d always avoid it, but she’d still active and moves around a lot.

BLOOD TYPE
O (+ve)
When she was found they ran a battery of tests to make sure she was in good health. One of them was her blood type. She has always known what it was. It means nothing to her, it’s fairly generic so it’s not a great as an indicator of who her parents could be.

WHICH HAND?
Left Handed
She is left handed, has always been left handed. She picked up a pencil relatively early on and began writing pretty early on too. She only wrote with her left hand and no matter how her parents encouraged her to try with her right given that she is more likely to end up being able to write with both. She just likes and prefers writing with her left.

VOICE
Pixie has a thick australian accent. All of her adoptive family have thick australian accents so she does too. It is one of the only things she has from her family. She doesn’t mind it, she knows that she would sound like that because she was raised there. However, a lot of people have said that despite having a thick accent, Pixie does sound quite melodic when she speaks, and she speaks very quietly.

LANGUAGES
Pixie only speaks english, she has never bothered learning any other languages. They weren’t offered at her primary school and she hasn’t had much of an interest in it either. It was just an unnecessary thing. She doesn’t speak that much anyway, so it would be useless to her.

ALLERGIES
Pixie has no known allergies, she got a full work up before she was given to her adoptive family that found no allergies. Of course now she is coming into the magical world she doesn’t know if she’ll be allergic to anything within this world.

PERSONAL STYLE
Pixie just wears whatever she can find, she grabs whatever clothes from her siblings that she has and wears that. Her clothes do not tend to match, she doesn’t tend to wear things that fit and she’s very much a comfort sort of person, but she also doesn’t care about if she’s not too comfortable in her clothes. She’ll always get them dirty and she’ll always wear the clothes until they break apart and then she’ll throw them away and grab another piece of clothing. She’s never been materialistic. Her parents buy her specific outfits for when they do local news but she doesn’t care about this.

CHARACTER LIKES
Pixie loves being alone. She has always been very alone, even in her large family so she loves it. To her it’s just perfect, whether she is alone in a room full of people or just alone alone she doesn’t care. She likes forest, faeries and all sorts of fantasy creatures. Things she’ll learn are actually real. She likes exploring and fantasy things. SHe likes being in the background, she likes watching things and not taking part in things. SHe likes not being included.

CHARACTER DISLIKES
Pixie dislikes large crowds, she dislikes being at places where there are lots of people, she dislikes celebrations, crowds and loud places. She doesn’t like going shopping and she’s always really disliked school for the same reason. She doesn’t like being involved in too many conversations and will always actively remove herself from them. SHe doesn’t like going to church and she doesn’t enjoy people asking ehr too bmuch about her life. She doesn’t like learning, it’s never been something she enjoyed.

GOALS
Pixie just wants to always get by with people not bothering her. She just wants to lead a quiet, peaceful live surrounded by magical things and never have to bother with other people unless she has to. She’d like to find her family but knows that it would be unlikely that she ever would.

BOGGART
It would be a loud screaming, she wouldn’t be able to discern what it was that was screaming, but the noise would be loud, piercing. It would be high pitched and it would be continuous. She would hate it. It is something she hates and is very startled and thrown when it happens all of sudden, which is why it would end up being her worst fear and what the boggart would show her. Rejection from her real parents might be something else it could show but given that technically that has already happened she doesn’t fear it nearly as much as she fears screaming.

PATRONUS
Her patronus would be a snail because they are a creature that is 100% silent. She does also really like that Snails keep their house with them at all times, that just cool to her. They aren’t the best creatures in her opinion but she would certainly enjoy her patronus being one.

PATRONUS MEMORY
Getting her Hogwarts letter. She had always figured there was something off about her, but getting that letter which confirmed it to her was in her mind pretty great. She’s finally getting to leave her family and pursue something she wants. She felt very happy about it. It meant she’d finally be breaking out on her own, and she might never have to go back so she was exceedingly happy and really wanted nothing more than to go already. It would definitely be strong enough for a patronus.

DEMENTOR
Likely any event where she was forced to speak or take centre stage. She hates it so much and it just fills her with dread and frustration. They may not be bad to others, but to Pixie they are the worst sorts of things. She deeply hates people that make her stand up and say something, and the longer she is forced to stand up and speak the worse she feels, more so when someone says ‘it’s not a big deal’. It’ll be the only time she’d snap and yell at someone for it - if they really push her. Otherwise it just fills her with fear and dread and she would definitely see it.

VERITISERUM
She would admit that she hates her adoptive family. She doesn’t realise that what she feels for her parents and most of the siblings is distaste. She likes some of them and gets along with a couple of them, but as a whole family unit under the influence of veritiserum she would admit that she hates them. As a whole she hates them, she hates her adoptive parents the most. They like her only as a thing, they aren’t good parents to her - and she’d argue to any of the kids - and they’ve never taken the time to understand her, not since she was a young child. She doesn’t understand how anyone in their right mind would allow them to adopt with a family so big already.

MIRROR OF ERISED
She would see two people and it would be her parents, she would just know that they were but they wouldn’t be distinguishable people, it wouldn’t be obvious what they looked like, she would just be able to tell that they were her parents and that they loved her. She would just see them. They would tell her about who they were, they would be with her and just be a family.

AMORENTIA
She would likely smell herbs like sage and basil, she would smell the forests and meadows that she goes to. She would smell the outdoors and just things she’d describe as magical adjacent. Things that are non-magical but could very well have faeries living in them.

I LOOK UP TO[/b]
No one. There is currently no one in her life that she looks up to, no one that means much or enough to her for her to want to look up to them. She does hope this will change, she’s listened to others talk about who they look up to and why they do and it is something that she would quite like to have for herself, but there’s been no one in her life that’s been able to be that for her. She knows she could pick someone who wasn’t in her life personally, like a famous person but she doesn’t care for people who strive for attention.

RELIGIOUS BELIEFS
Her parents are both relatively religious, they attend the local church and have always been the sort of people who practice some parts of it. They’ll keep going with their family until that stops. They’ll be kind and are good natured for the most part because of it. She is not particularly interested in it at all. SHe doesn’t care for the ceremony, the masses, the people at it. She likes when she doesn’t have to go.

ZODIAC SIGN
cancer - though there is no way to know for certain if this is the right one.

ZODIAC DESCRIPTION
Those born under the sign of Cancer, ruled by the mysterious Moon, are one of the zodiac's enigmas. It is fair to say that most Cancers are a bundle of contradictions. Compassionate and caring with friends, family and lovers, yet they can cut to the bone with their jealous remarks and ever-changing moods. Endearingly eccentric on one hand, and on the other, insecure about how others see them. Like their astrological symbol - the Crab - Cancers can appear hard and insensitive on the outside. However, for those of us who know and love a "Moon Child", we understand that deep below lies a softness and sensitivity that makes them so very special. Nurturing, protection and caring for others underline the life principles of this water sign. Life doesn't stand still for this sign, even if they remain in one place, because they live so much in their internal oceans of emotions. Up and down like the proverbial yo-yo, most Cancerians feel one way one minute, then sometimes totally different the next. But this characteristic is part of their charm. Love and romance matter more than anything else to this sign. No other sign romances better, equally though, no sign takes it so badly when romance turns sour either. This sign is one of the most magic of all and once their magic has reached you, they are the most beguiling companions.

BASIC PERSONALITY
Pixie is a small, quiet and reclusive girl who was raised in a loud, brash family. She is very independent, doesn’t involve herself in situations and isn’t one to speak up. She’s not a very talkative person and can come off quite cold when she doesn’t really intend to. She just doesn’t believe she has enough of merit to ever say. Pixie doesn’t like large crowds and tends to avoid places that have them. She’s not particularly studious and prefers to be outside, in amongst nature and just enjoying magical things. Even prior to being magical she was interested in magic, she loves fairies and pixies, loves dragons and stories of that sort of thing. Pixie is a kind enough person, she’ll never actively do much around large groups and one on one she can be a bit distant but she’s at her core a nice person. She wants to just be on her own and be at peace. SHe’s not the sort of person who feels that lonely, but she has felt it occasionally. She just now isn’t really sure how to casually speak to people. She doesn’t care for being the centre of attention and she doesn’t care for people who do. She is not vain, not caring how she looks but has an awareness that she thinks that she’s pretty.

OTHER SCHOOLS ATTENDED
South Perth Primary School - It was a school closest to the house. All of her siblings before her had gone to it and after her. She didn’t particularly like it by the end. It was busy, the teachers were all loud and the students all awful.

YEARS OF ATTENDANCE
From 5 to 11 years of age.

HOUSE (IF APPLICABLE)
None - this was not a school with houses. Though Pixie thinks it might’ve been better, then the classes might’ve been smaller.

FIRST THOUGHTS
Pixie was hoping that school would be better than being at home but it really wasn’t for her. It was busy and had too many people for her to feel comfortable. Her classmates were all very loud and they always wanted to play. She didn’t like any of them. She didn’t enjoy it at all. She left after the first day truly disliking it and her opinion didn’t change. She didn’t bother trying and never tried to fit in with the people in her class. She always preferred her own company.

GRADES ACHIEVED
Pixie did not achieve very highly, she didn’t like school, and she didn’t ever try . Her adoptive parents were never particularly hard on her for not trying in school. Most of her teachers did say that if she applied herself she might actually manage to do better, but Pixie never bothered and her parents weren’t so bothered by her grades that they were encouraging her to do better - nor were they ever openly annoyed with her for achieving less.

FAVOURITE CLASS
She didn’t have one, her favourite past time was getting quiet time, whether it was on her who was sent to it alone because she did something she wasn’t supposed to or when it was the whole class, she just liked that the most.

LEAST FAVOURITE CLASS
Pixie hated sports and any social time. She just thought it was too noisy and it was just horrible to her. She disliked most of the classes to the same degree but that was the area she disliked it enough. She doesn’t mind things like cycling and independent sports, but sports classes were always busy and noisy and she didn’t like that at all.

SKIPPING CLASS?
Any occasion Pixie was given she’d skip school and classes. She didn’t enjoy anything with the class. She’d actively spend time with her adoptive parents to get out of school.

SCHOOL CLUBS
None, she didn’t want to spend any more time at school than she legally needed to. She was put into after school care quite a lot, and she hated it there too.

POSITIONS ACHIEVED
She didn’t receive any positions because she wasn’t trying for any at all. She wouldn’t have wanted one either.

WAND
Curved 15 Inch Rigid Oak Wand with Meteorite Dust Core

WAND DESCRIPTION
Length: A little on the longer side of things, wands of this length are slightly more uncommon and not easily forgotten by others.

Style: Bending to its side, this wand is more difficult to aim than its straighter counterparts but provides character that some simply cannot pass by.

Wood: Oak wands are excellently reliable no matter the situation they are found in - they withstand the greatest challenges and remain largely unscathed.

Core: This wand core works well for people who adapt easily to their surroundings while still maintaining their own personalities. Meteorite dust seems to produce wands that are useful in Divination work.

Flexibility: Rigid: A difficult wand to control and sometimes broken under little force, but powerful in a fight.

SCHOOL

FIRST THOUGHTS
Though she was excited about going to hogwarts she was definitely nervous about what it might be like and worried that it would be the same as her last school. Immediately upon seeing it Pixie was very daunted by the size of the school. She wasn’t sure what she’d been expecting it to be but it was so much bigger than she had thought it would be. So much more than she had thought. She noted that there were a lot of people around and the house she was sorted into seemed to be quite busy. It was more homely than she’d imagined, but it was nice. The school seemed to her like the perfect place that someone could just hide out and not be found if they really wanted to. But she also thought with all the people maybe you did run into people often enough. She liked the look of it, she’d been imagine something more run down, a lot more ivy and darker breaks, things like in old witch stories, with an over grown foliage that covered walls, crocked buildings, towers that seemed about to fall. It was impressive to her just more normal and mundane than she’d thought it would be.

HOUSE
Hufflepuff

THOUGHTS WHILE BEING SORTED
Pixie was nervous about it, she’d been okay on the train but had very quickly become not so okay as the large crowd of first year students was very daunting to her. She didn’t like the fact that everyone was going to be looking at her as she got sorted. She got very quickly very nervous and in the first instance really just wanted to leave and hide. But she remained and managed to distract herself by watching the other students and noting that most of them looked bored and hungry. She could spot that while they were all sort of looking they didn’t seem to be paying as much attention as she thought. Which helped put her at ease until she got called forward which was the most nerve wracking thing she’d done in a while, so she was very pleased when it was over quickly.

SORTING POST

Pixie wasn't enjoying this. She'd been fine in the train, able to find a little spot for herself to sit in and just watch the scenery go by, vaguely listening to the noise of the kids in the places around her. Distant enough so they weren't too loud but not so distant that she couldn't hear it. After all, this was an entirely new world to her, and there were so many things Pixie didn't yet know about it. But, sorting...this sorting thing. There were so many of them, so many students around her, in her year, in the hall they were being shown through. Just...so many people. How did the magic world stay hidden with all of these kids. Pixie lingered near the back at least a step behind the other last students and kept her distance as proceedings got started. It was clear very quickly what she would have to do, and her nervousness already high with all of the people around her, seemed to sky rocket. She could feel her heart in her chest hammering away, her palms were sweaty and she was sure that she had a small look of panic on her face. Was there any way out of it. Could she walk away and just get sorted later.

No. This was her new world, and as Pixie watched the students before her be sorted, it never lasted long, some took a bit longer but most of the time it was quick. The hat only said the house, if it said other things no one could hear it and though the older students seemed interested, it wasn't with the rapt attention she'd expect. they were likely all hungry. They were all wanting to loudly talk to their friends, laugh about things, engage in the games she'd seen muggle kids do at muggle schools. The canteen hall of Pixie's last school was only different in that there were no wooden tables, no floating candles and no singing hats, but plenty of students who were loud, and giggly and hungry. Though even with all these people, she'd take this place over that muggle school any day. Finally she heard her name be called and she'd been so distracted in her own thoughts she hadn't noted that they'd gotten down to the L's. The small calm she had achieved vanished and instead the nervousness was brought back.

Pixie took a deep breath and carefully weaved through the remaining students, trying very carefully to avoid touching any of them and approached the stool. her legs were shaking so badly now she thought they might not hold her up but she sat down, immediately looking at the wood floor in front of her and not at the student's faces. She wished it wouldn't be long, it felt like the universe might try to swallow her whole if it took long. But Pixie needed to do this so she could know her places in this busy world.

SORTING HAT SAID
"You march to the beat of your own drum and that's not a bad thing. You could do well in Ravenclaw, but I know you'll excel in many more ways in...Hufflepuff!"
