Closed Petals and Pliés

Sky was starting to come to terms that this year was going to be filled with a lot of lasts. And she had come down early to make the most of her last Halloween. She had run into Leo and it was good that she had spend some time with him tonight after all she had spent every last one of her halloweens with him. But she had had to leave him as it was time to meet her date.
She got up amazing her apologies and headed to the front door adjusting a bit of the greenery that was meant to be running between her skirt and bandeau but had come loose as she went. Her eyes open looking for Ngawaiata wondering what she was dressed as, sure she would look incredible.

Ngawaiata had always had a soft spot for Halloween. She didn't think anyone in their right mind would describe her as an outgoing person, but there was something exciting about putting on a costume and becoming someone totally new for a night. She had gone even further out of her comfort zone this year, fighting the urge to go put on trousers as she made her way down to the hall. Ballet was never something she had had any interest in, but it was fun to put such an elaborate costume on for the night. Still, she felt awkward walking around like this by herself and it was a relief when she spotted Sky, eyes widening at the sight of her girlfriend's costume. "Wow..." She breathed, making her way closer. "This is next level."

Sky was a little surprised when she saw ngawaiata in her costume. She had always taken Her girlfriend as someone who never really showed much skin. But today wow to you too. You look amazing she said stepping closer. thank you. It took a while but I like it” she said. She fairly sure that if she stood next to her girlfriend her legs would reach up to nearly her armpits not that she minded or she would let that stop her, she was always used to being one of the shortest in her friends. She took ngawaiata hand and kissed it are you ready for the party she asked squeezing her hand and smiling up at her.

Ngawaiata beamed at the compliment, cheeks heating slightly. She knew she looked nice, had put some effort into her appearance, but hearing it from Sky sent a little shiver through her. She nodded, looking over Sky's costume again. She wasn't the only one showing more skin than usual... "It must have, that's amazing." She smiled, flushing more at the kiss to her hand. "Definitely." She smiled, squeezing back. "Do you think you can dance in that thing, or should we stick to snacks and games?"

Sky bit her lip blushing slightly as ngawaiata said that her costume was amazing. As their eyes met she felt the familiar sunlight in water feeling she often felt she ngawaiata was around. A sparkle all through her. if you are asking me to dance I will dance in anything she said trying u successfully to bite back a smile. Despite the looks it was a fairly comfortable costume. And so long as she was careful not to let the vines catch on anything it would be fine. are you going to be okay dancing in those heels she asked.
