Kate walked in the Great Hall, reading her book with a cup of tea on the table. The hall was emptying out. She was one of the only people left on the Hufflepuff table. She had a quick look around to see if she could see Stefan. Unfortunately she couldn't see him anywhere which was a shame. She wanted to spend some time with him. She had enjoyed their surprise meeting the other night. Because of the meeting and the lovely food she had been able to fall back asleep and sleep soundly ever since. Kate's Saturday was free. She was going to spend as long as she could reading before her back started complaining and her eyes got sore or she just got tired of sitting down. The book she was reading was interesting. It was by an Irish author. It was called Valentina. It was a small enough book so if she did read for some time she would get it all read in the one day. Even though it wasn't anything to do with Ireland now days it was based in Ireland so she actually knew where the places were. It just made understanding the book a bit easier. She could actually picture where certain things were happening.

She looked up out the window. The sun was streaming in the window. Kate's thoughts went to Quidditch. She could use a bit of practice. It was a lovely day, from inside it looked perfect for flying. Kate quickly finished her cup of tea and got up from her seat. She made her way out of the Great Hall and up to the Hufflepuff common room. She wasn't going to bother changing, she probably wouldn't practice for long. Just to get out on the broom. She left her book in her room and grabbed her broom. She then headed outside. It was quite warm , the sun was warm on her skin. The days were getting warmer and longer and Kate couldn't wait for summer. Or at least for the warm days where she could lounge out in the sun on the grass. Or just have those lazy days where she could sit outside and read her book. For now though she would do some exercise. She made her way to the Quiddith pitch. There was no one there which was nice as she'd have the pitch to herself. She got a quaffle out and kicked off from the ground. She began throwing the quaffle towards the hoops, just practicing quidditch.

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply... Enrolling for uni involved more than I thought.

Sarah chewing on a piece of toast headed out towards the Quidditch Pitch, gripping her streak tightly. She had been eating in the Great Hall, when she had looked out of the window, noticed the Quidditch perfect weather, and had hurried up to the common room to grab her broom. She knew that as one of the youngest members of the team, she needed to practice definitely, especially since she planned on helping Hufflepuff make it to the finals, even if she had to drag the team there herself. The team had done terribly last year, and Sarah personally blamed it on the captains. They didn't encourage enough people to try out, and even this year, they only just got enough players to make up a team. All of the other teams had more players then them, which was why Hufflepuff was always seemed as the weakest team. Well, this year, Sarah planned on proving them wrong.

As she reached the pitch, a slight scowl appeared on her face, as she noticed that the so-called Quidditch co-captain Kate Moon was already on the pitch. Figured. The one time Sarah wanted to go on, just to practice by herself, and she was hogging it as usual. Shaking her head slightly, she forced a smile on her face, and cupped her hands around her mouth to make her voice louder. 'Kate! Mind if I join you?' Maybe she could show her captain a thing or two about Quidditch.

Kate hadn't been very active socially this term. She had been keeping to herself. Doing her own thing and trying to sort out what she was going to do with her life. It had been a question that was nagging at her a lot recently. She had thought she knew somewhat what she wanted to do but she had become undecisive again. She was frustrated with herself for being so unsure of what she wanted to do. One thing she knew for sure was that, she had no future with magic. Sure she loved magic but using it as a job wasn't something that appealed to her. Quidditch would be the only thing in the magic world where she would consider a profession. But she wasn't sure if that was the thing for her . She viewed quidditch more as a hobby then anything else. The only other things Kate liked was History and Music. What lay in store there she didn't know. It was all a mess. Flying was helping clear her mind. She had come out to practice but now she was just flying around the pitch, thinking. It was a relaxing way to be. And Kate was quite content even though her thoughts we mumbled and confusing. The wind blowing her hair back was strangely relaxing and it helped calm her buzzing mind. Soon her thoughts had calmed down and she started throwing the quaffle through the hoops.

She was busy doing her own thing when she heard a voice call her name. She grabbed the quaffle and looked over. She saw Sarah Keith, a second year Hufflepuff who had tried out and got onto the team this year. Kate didn't know her very well and she was glad to play some quidditch with her. Get to know her better and see what her abilities were like in more detail. She flew over "Hey Sarah"She said smiling. "Of course you can"She said, passing her the quaffle.
