Lilyanna's second year had officially started and she was dreading every single moment of it. The only thing she rather enjoyed was the exams at the end of the year but they only lasted a week and then what was Lilyanna to do once they ended? Her parents had purchased her a muggle drawing kit for her birthday from the muggle world which she was very thankful for. It included things like different sized pencils, erasers, a blank drawing book and even that peculiar object with the holes in it that makes the pencil right again for when it becomes blunt. She wasn't much of an artist but it did keep her occupied when she needed it which she figured would be rather handy. Her artworks were looking slightly better now that she wasn't stuck to using a quill. The quill always made it look blotchy by the end and sometimes it was even hard to make out what it was. Now Lilyanna was able to take her time to make it as good as she wanted it.

Clutching her new drawing book against her chest, Lilyanna made her way out onto the Hogwarts grounds to find a peaceful place to draw. She made sure to bring the rest of her drawing kit too to help her draw something pleasing. She knew that no matter how hard she tried that she wouldn't be able to successfully draw exactly what she wanted but practice made perfect and that was what Lilyanna was going to do. She made her way out to the Rosebush where there wasn't anyone around and sat herself on a nearby bench. The Rosebush wasn't usually a place where Lilyanna spent most of her time and she only hoped that it was going to be as peaceful as it seemed as she began to sketch away on a blank piece of paper, not really caring what was happening around her.

A whole new year in school gave Xavier a whole new realm of opportunities, both in classes and within the school grounds. That was why the boy was equally as excited to begin his second year as he had been to begin his first year and it was not only due to the prospect of a new year but also the prospect of expending his ever growing and beloved bug collection. It was no secret that Xavier adored bugs and more so the task of hunting them down in the dirt and underneath the bark on trees. It was the reason the curly haired Hufflepuff boy was strolling in the area of the rosebush that day with a glass jar in one hand and a lid with holes poked in his other hand instead of preparing himself for the classes that were soon due to begin.

The bugs in New Zealand were so different to the bugs in Australia. The spiders were subdued, as were the ants but fortunately for Xavier the worms were exactly the same. But it was not spiders, ants or worms that Xavier was looking for that day. He was instead in search for crickets. After hearing stories of a giant species of cricket being native to New Zealand, Xavier was of course eager to discover one for himself because he had not yet laid eyes on any crickets in New Zealand since starting school and did not entirely believe any crickets, let alone giant ones could live inside the New Zealand borders. So he was kicking at the ground and pulling bark off of fallen trees in the hope of finding the giant crickets he very much wanted to find. It wasn't a boring way to spend his time but after losing himself in nature for a few hours, Xavier knew it would have been a good idea to ask for help. He looked around and saw a girl that looked like Eleanor drawing on a piece of paper. She was a girl in his house and one of Ares' friends and though Xavier had not spoken to her despite always wanting to he had no qualms to ask her for help on that sunny day. "Eleanor! I'm trying to find these giant crickets but I don't know where to look." He said after jogging to approach her. "Do you want to help me find them?" He asked the girl with a smile on his face.

When Lilyanna finished her drawing of the solar system, she sat back and admired it before adding a few last minute touches. She didn't have her coloured pencils with her but tried her best to shade the right areas so it looked half decent. It wasn't until she heard Eleanor's name that she looked up from what she was doing. A boy who seemed to be one of Eleanor's friends were approaching her thinking that she was her sister and Lilyanna sighed at him, wondering where Eleanor happened to get all of these friends. Sometimes it was as if Eleanor was friends with the whole school and Lilyanna really did not know what to say to the boy as he waited for a reply. She tried her best not to lose herself as she began to come up with a way to politely get the boy to leave without having to do things the hard way.

"I am NOT Eleanor!" she shouted at him, knowing that what she said didn't come out as polite as she had intended. "Are you perhaps looking for the Giant Weta? The whole time I've been here I haven't seen one so I suggest you leave, otherwise you're just wasting your time." She didn't want to tell him that she hadn't really been paying much attention either but she didn't really care nonetheless. "Crickets are pests. Why would you ever want to find one anyway? They're filthy insects if you ask me." Without really caring how the boy felt about what she said, she continued to keep sketching, adding many more stars around her solar system and making sure everything was perfect.

Xavier's eyes widened and his grip on the glass jar in one hand and the metal lid in the other tightened slightly. The shouting caught he Hufflepuff completely off guard not only because he didn't expect it but also because he was surprised that the girl wasn't Eleanor. He clearly did not know better and could have sworn on his bug collection that she was the bubbly, Hufflepuff girl he met during the house meeting at the beginning of his first year. But as he stood in shock to her explosive reaction he began to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Xavier was a twin so it did not take too long for him to assume Eleanor also had a twin and the twin in question was the girl in front of him.

Xavier had never met an identical twin before in his life so he stared at the girl curiously, attempting to make a mental image of her face in his mind to see if there were any differences between her and Eleanor or if their faces were well and truly identical. As she spoke about Wetas his face lit up. "That's how their name is pronounced!" He exclaimed, clearly interrupting her. It was nice to hear a sound to go with the unusual Maori spelling of the cricket's name so he could use it in the future when he continued searching for one within the school grounds. He wasn't having luck in his search and it was evident as he approached the girl in the first place but it seemed like he wasn't going to have any luck in continuing his search when the girl stated she had not seen any of the elusive giant crickets. Xavier looked down to the jar he was holding and pursed his lips, ignoring her comment that crickets were pests and instead changing the subject. "If you're not Eleanor, then what's your name?" The last thing the Hufflepuff wanted was to be yelled at again and he figured differentiating this girl from Eleanor was the way to avoid that.

Lilyanna was quite surprised that the boy in front of her did not bother to run away at her outburst. He seemed quite too bubbly and annoying for Lilyanna to even handle and she wanted to just walk away herself, but she wasn't going to let the boy win. She sat there first and there was no way she was going to give up her peaceful spot by the rosebush for such a stupid individual. She wanted to tell him that of course that was how 'Weta' was pronounced but decided against it, not bothering to argue with the boy just yet. She had lived in New Zealand her whole life and only someone who had serious problems didn't know how to pronounce it. "My name is Lilyanna Hope." she told him sincerely as soon as he asked, not bothering to ask for his. It did not interest her at all and she only hoped that he would soon disappear as she continued to colour in her planets with her pencil, trying to ignore him to the best of her ability.

Xavier smiled when the girl introduced herself as Lilyanna. Clearly she was not Eleanor and now he could differentiate both girls with names rather than having to memorize their faces or pay attention to the colours of their robes because Lilyanna was clearly not in Hufflepuff. At least she did not seem to be considering her outburst and that every time he talked to Eleanor in the common room, it was definitely Eleanor. This was the first time he had been shouted at by one of the twins and he assumed Eleanor was never the kind of person to yell. No, Eleanor had been nothing but kind to both Xavier and Ares which was the opposite of what Lilyanna was doing. "I'm Xavier." He introduced himself as he twisted the metal lid onto his glass jar. He then stepped forward, leaning slightly over the girl's notebook and asking "What are you drawing?" because she was evidently more interested in what she was drawing than helping Xavier in his search for Wetas. It made Xavier curious to what she was doing and he had no shame in asking because he was never the kind of kid to easily take a hint.

The blonde boy introduced himself as Xavier which was a name Lilyanna had never heard before. She still didn't much care for his name though and just ignored him as if he didn't say a word, continuing to sketch away as more and more lead covered the side of her left hand with the muggle pencil. Drawing with a muggle pencil felt much better than using a quill but the lead did get slightly annoying at times. On the bright side, she didn't have to keep dipping her quill into an ink bottle and there were no unnecessary smudges around the page. Instead, each line was thin and precise and that was what Lilyanna mainly liked about it. She almost jumped when Xavier asked what she was drawing but kept herself together. There was no way she was going to go off at him again because that would only mean that he was winning which Lilyanna definitely didn't want him thinking. "It's the solar system." she told him simply, not bothering to look up from what she was doing. "Except the version I am drawing is much smaller than what it really is. The actual solar system would have approximately a radius of four and a half billion kilometers and a diameter of nine billion kilometers. It would be physically impossible for me to draw its proper size." She finished colouring in mars and was now onto jupiter and couldn't help but smile at her work, especially considering the distraction in front of her.

Eleanor was slowly starting to catch up with the school year. She couldn't believe how quick her first year had went and in that time she had made so many good friends, despite it only ever being the first year at the school. She was sure though that she would make many more as time went on and was very excited when she woke each day, happily wondering what a new day would bring. Today she was on her way to the Hogwarts Gardens where she would practice making another flower crown all by herself. She wanted to show Orwell exactly how it was done and would definitely show him when she was confident that she had it right. For now, she knew that she still wasn't the best at it and would try until it was perfect. But instead of heading in the direction of the Hogwarts Gardens, Eleanor took another turn and found herself heading towards the rosebush where she decided last minute that she would try and make a flower crown out of roses instead, if she was sure that she was able to pick them. The rosebush wasn't always where Eleanor had found herself in the best of times but it was always fun to explore, even if there was no point to it.

Before the Hufflepuff could even think of starting to pick the roses, she spotted two people in the distance and jumped out of shock when she realised who they were. It was Xavier and her sister who seemed to be having a conversation together, much to Eleanor's surprise. She didn't know that they ever knew each other and so she walked over there with a smile upon her face to see what they were talking about and if it was about anything interesting. "Hello!" she exclaimed, looking down at what her sister was doing as that seemed to be what was getting the attention. "What are you guys up to? Can I see what you're drawing?" Eleanor sat herself down next to her twin and without waiting for an answer she leaned in closer to find a drawing of the solar system which was actually pretty good. Eleanor frowned at it, wondering where on earth her sister learnt how to draw, wishing that she could draw too.

Xavier's jaw dropped significantly as Lilyanna explained she was drawing the solar system. The drawing itself was well done but her explanation of the solar system's radius was more so because like most other children, Xavier did not know anything about space that wasn't covered in his astrology classes. Sure, he knew the names of the planets and the order they were in from the sun but that was it for the most part. The measurements of the solar system were unknown to him and all the Hufflepuff boy could do was stand and stare at Lilyanna's drawing in awe until a familiar voice and a frightfully similar, however much cheerful face entered Xavier's eye line. It was Eleanor, of all people and he when he realized it was her and that he was not seeing double, he smiled. "Hi!" He exclaimed as Eleanor sat down next to Lilyanna. When she asked what her sister was drawing, Xavier answered. "Lilyanna's drawing the solar system! It's really well done, isn't it?" He was acting obnoxious but was completely ignorant about it. He twisted the lid awkwardly around the jar in his hands for a moment before he looked up to Eleanor and remembered that he had wanted to find her before Lilyanna distracted him. "Wait. Eleanor. I'm looking for Wetas. Do you want to help me find them?" He asked, continuing to smile at the girl while hoping she would accompany him on his quest.

The sound of another presence startled Lilyanna who had to frantically find herself her eraser to rub out the slight colouring out of the lines from her tiny scare. She sighed when she looked up to see who it was and simply ignored her sister, letting Xavier answer her question about what Lilyanna was drawing instead. Why did she always just have to come out of nowhere? It frustrated the Slytherin who just wanted to spend some time drawing alone. She would have to start her drawing again when she had the time, but for now, what she was doing was just a draft and she would fix it up later. As Lilyanna wiped away the bits of rubber onto the ground, she silently hoped that Eleanor would go away with Xavier and find some Wetas far away from her. After all, there didn't seem to be any around, not that she would ever attempt to look for them herself.

Eleanor didn't look up from what Lilyanna was doing as Xavier answered her question. She was too busy wondering how all of the lines were so neat and it didn't occur to Eleanor what Lilyanna was drawing with until she watched her take out a round piece of rubber and use it to get rid of her mistakes. "What is that?" The Hufflepuff asked, pointing at both the long stick in her hand with a sharp point on top and the piece of round rubber. The stick seemed to be doing most of the work and it made Eleanor wonder if perhaps her sister had made it herself and it was her brilliance that made her think of it. It also seemed much more simpler than using a quill which would probably smudge the whole thing if she wasn't too careful.

The mention of Wetas caused Eleanor to perk up and she looked at Xavier quizzically, not having any idea what he was talking about. Considering the jar in his hand, Eleanor wondered if perhaps they were a type of bug that he collected in his free time. Nevertheless, Eleanor wanted to do something fun and she thought that finding Wetas would be a great idea. She jumped up from her seat and smiled. "Yes! Let's find some... Weet.... Weetars?" she said, not sure if she was saying it right. The Hufflepuff didn't want to look stupid but she would look even more stupid if she didn't ask. "What are they?" she mumbled, trying not to make a fool of herself. It was obvious that she was the only one who had no idea.

Xavier smiled as Eleanor attempted to pronounce the word 'weta'. She was having as much trouble as he was prior to Lilyanna showing him how it was meant to be pronounced so he was happy to say the word to help Eleanor. "It's Weta. Lilyanna told me how to say it right." As he said the other twin's name his eyes darted to her momentarily before they returned to Eleanor and his mind also returned to the quest of searching for the elusive giant crickets. "They're these really cool, rare crickets that are native to New Zealand!" He answered to the other Hufflepuff, glad that she said yes to helping him on his journey and hoping that knowing Wetas were bugs wouldn't cause her to change her mind. Searching for bugs was Xavier's favourite pastime but it always eventually grew boring without a partner or some form of company so he hoped Eleanor would still want to accompany him. "I've never seen one before and I really want to find one so I can catch it!" He then exclaimed, eyes fixed on Eleanor's features as he continued to smile and wait for a response.
