Yellow Rose for @Connor Holland

Ryan knew he'd been signed up to deliver roses as a favour for Nicole, but he was starting to suspect it wasn't in Nicole's words "to make him socialize more" and was more in the interests of letting her pawn off all the roses she didn't want to herself. Case in point, having to hunt down Connor Holland, who was decidedly hard to find considering he was their Head Boy. Ryan didn't really have any problems with Connor, he hadn't enjoyed how upset Nicole had been a few years ago, but it seemed the dust had settled now and as long as Connor didn't cause any more problems things were fine in Ryan's opinion.

It was a relief when he finally spotted Connor, stepping into his path before the Hufflepuff could get swept along the corridor with other passing students. "Hey, this is for you," he said, holding up the yellow rose.

Connor had been up and down the whole school delivering roses, and his legs were starting to ache. He was just heading downstairs after a fruitless trip to the North Tower when he was interrupted, almost tripping over himself in his hurry to stop when Ryan stepped in front of him. "Oh, hey..." He said in surprise, accepting the offered rose. "Thanks..." Connor didn't know how much influence Nicole had on her brother's opinions, but she had been civil about the rose assignments, and he hoped Ryan would be the same.

Ryan breezed through handing over the yellow rose and note, glad to have another delivery crossed off. "You're annoying to track down when you keep moving," he added idly.

Dear Connor Holland,

Happy Valentine's day. Thank you for allowing me to be part of the team.

Sincerely,

Leonardo Orr

Connor rolled his eyes slightly at Ryan's objection. "I'm delivering too." He pointed out, accepting the rose, a little disappointed with how curt the younger boy was being. Nicole must have talked to him. "Thanks." Connor said, not one to forget his manners as he looked at the note. It brought a small smile of surprise to his face - Leonardo was a good player, and it was nice to hear there was at least one more person on the team who didn't think he was a terrible captain.

Ryan shrugged in response, not disagreeing. It didn't make people any less hard to find though. Connor seemed pleased with the rose at least and Ryan moved to leave, content with another delivery crossed off. "Oh, Happy Valentine's?" He offered, figuring if Nicole wanted him to deliver to be social he could at least try some of the social niceties, even if it ended up coming out more like a question than he'd meant.

Connor was a little surprised when Ryan spoke again, giving him a slightly wary look. What was this about?! "Yeah, you too..." He said slowly, giving the younger boy a small shrug. He held up his basket, taking a step back. "Better get back to it..."
