APPROVAL ID #125078Mikael rarely made the trip to the Owlery. There had never been any need to send any letters urgently enough for him to seek out his short-eared owl. He usually left Epione to her own devices and waited for her arrival to send any letters out. Brightstone was nearing, however, and she hadn't returned to see him in a couple of days, so he decided that it would be best to come to her to get the letter to Elio out. His boyfriend was already getting increasingly annoyed with the sparse letters and short replies. He hoped that a package containing his birthday gift and a promise to meet him for Brighstone would at least get his boyfriend to stop pouting and yelling through the letters he was sending. The Owlery was deserted at such a time, extremely preferable since Mikael hated crowds despite being used to them. "Epione," he called for his wayward pet, one that didn't take too long before flying down to perch on his shoulder and had the audacity to start grooming his hair as if he'd been the one who had been away. Such a troublesome pet. Still, he let the bird be for a few moments; it was early enough, and he wasn't in any rush anyway.
