Studying for her OWL had Noemie in quite a fit. She was studying as hard as she could, but Noemie was finding it difficult to concentrate. She was doing practice tests and quizzes and she could never seem to do better than an EE. She wanted Os for her OWLs, she had been working hard for months for them, using every spare moment she had to be with books. She had cut down on her quidditch, cut down on her running, cut down on her personal reading. She had just been studying and studying and it just wasn't paying off. She could help but feel so tired and frustrated. The morning of the sunday of the sixth week of class, found Noemie sitting in her dorm room with another book open in front of her, and the light of the sun pouring into through the window. The teen stared out of the window, and her mind drifting off from what she'd been studying to the outdoors. She snapped out of it when an owl passed the window. She decided that she would go outside. If she was going to study anyway, she might as well spent time outside in the gardens.

After packing up her books, notes and her wand, Noemie took a blanket and went outside. She set out the blanket on the grass at the lake front, where she could then set out her work, and her notes. She had her quills and notes, and began to study. The ravenclaw was happy to be outside, the sunshine was nice. It was approaching winter, but it was still warm enough, it was nice enough, and though she was still stressed it was nice. Noemie was hoping that maybe the change of scenery would help her with her studying. She worked hard, and she just wanted it to pay off. The part veela just wanted to something to show for all the work she did. The girl was a little more distracted by being outside but Noemie wasn't having luck elsewhere so what did it matter. She just had to keep at it.

Charlotte could not believe how fast her seven years at Hogwarts went. She was almost out of school and almost out in the real world where she would have different responsibilities and almost a different life altogether. It was daunting to know that she would have to decide herself where she was going to end up and the Slytherin had no idea where that would be. She would miss Hogwarts, especially playing quidditch, and in the back of her mind was the thought of playing quidditch professionally. It would definitely be an exhausting career and to do well in it you had to be successful which Charlotte wouldn't be able to do until after she practised lots more. However, the Head Girl wanted to make the most of her last weeks at Hogwarts, even if studying was apart of that. She wanted to do well in her exams and leave Hogwarts with a smile on her face and that was what she'd do.

With her backpack full of everything she needed to study, Charlotte left the castle and made her way to the lakefront where she usually found was a good place to study. It was a nice day without a chance of any rain and so Charlotte figured it was the perfect opportunity. As she approached the lakefront she noticed a younger student also making the most of the good day and Charlotte beamed as she walked up to them and sat down, setting herself up to study with her. "Hello!" Charlotte exclaimed, opening up her backpack and taking out her textbooks. "I hope you don't mind, but can I study with you? It's such a lovely day for it, isn't it?" Charlotte did not care if the girl didn't want her there. After all, Charlotte would try her best not to be too distracting as she had her own work that she had to do too.

Hayden was glad the Quidditch season was over as it allowed him time to focus on his OWL preparations although every now and then he needed a break from that too. His latest session in the library had been long and exhausting and he couldn't remember the last time he had seen the sunlight. After dropping off his bag in his dorm Hayden decided to venture outside. He needed to get his mind off his exams and everything else that was bothering him. The Slytherin made his way outside and was glad to see the weather backed up his decision to leave his robe behind. Winter was drawing closer but the weather was still quite mild which he was grateful for.

In a spur of the moment decision Hayden decided to walk down to the lake in the hope it would be quiet, peaceful and not crowded with people. He quickly regretted his decision as when he arrived he saw his captain Charlotte and the girl he had met at the beginning of the previous year when he had been practicing for his Quidditch tryout. Hayden had come too far to turn around without looking like he was doing it because of them or like he had made a wrong turn. Neither option was particularly appealing so he decided to prop himself up against a tree a little away from the pair. Perhaps they wouldn't feel inclined to bother him.

Noemie knew that being outside invited far more people to come talk with her, but she almost didn't mind it. She was almost inviting more people to come join her. She was very surprised when the girl was joined by someone older, and she immediately knew who she was. The head girl, and the captain of the slytherin team. Noemie was almost surprised that this girl of all people would want to sit and study with her. She shook her head, "I don't mind," she replied, unable to keep the little of surprise out of her tone. "I'm Noemie, you're Charlotte right? Head girl?" Noemie hoped it would be too rude to do something like that. she had always looked up to the girls who were head girl and this one was no different. Noemie had the feeling she was not at all within the chance of getting it now. Not a prefect and not involved too much. She was sure that either Amber or Evelyn would get it. But the were still a few years to go.

She smiled at her, "It's a lovely day, yeah," she agreed with a small nod, and it was then that she noticed there was someone lingering behind the other girl, "I think your keeper might be following you or he's just choosing to sit alone," she didn't motion to the boy, but was sure that this girl would see it if she looked around. Noemie knew the boy vaguely, they'd once practice together. He'd been quite nice, but she hadn't spent any time with him since. Noemie gave a small smile towards the boy before letting her gaze move back to Charlotte. She would enjoy studying with someone else maybe. It would maybe be better to study with someone else, and since this girl was older and the head girl, she'd want to maybe impress her.

Charlotte never liked to think of herself as anything better than anyone else, and as the younger girl seemed to know Charlotte's name, she felt quite bad about not knowing hers, even if Charlotte was Head Girl. She nodded at the girl, feeling as though she could have recognised her from a quidditch game. "Sorry, but what is your name?" Charlotte asked, hoping the girl didn't mind her asking. She seemed pretty laid back and Charlotte was happy for this, flicking through the pages in her textbook.

As the girl agreed to Charlotte's comment, she beamed, glad that she could comment about the weather without it seeming too weird. Happy with the company, Charlotte wrote down some notes out of the textbook until the girl spoke again. "Oh, Hayden or Sara?" Charlotte asked before turning around and noticing it was Hayden who seemed to be following her. Charlotte wasn't sure if he would be the one to follow her and thought that perhaps it was a coincidence. The Slytherin was not going to leave him out however and waved over at him, not wanting him to think they were talking bad of him when they weren't. "Hey Hayden! Want to join us?" she asked, figuring that the more company the better.

Hayden looked over at the two girls at the sound of voices being directed at him. It was an unfortunate coincidence that he had decided to come out to the lake at the same time as two others. No doubt the one of the girls had suggested that Hayden had followed Charlotte out to the lake. Had that been the case he actually would have approached the girl as he would only have followed her if had a reason to speak to her. Hayden smiled in response to Charlotte's offer to join them but shook his head softly. "I'm good over here thank you," He said before turning his attention back to the lake.
