out in the sunshine

[Willow Cullen]

The last two roses on willows list had the same name. Layton. leda she knew would be on the quidditch pitch but the other layton she had not heard of before. she left the castle making her way accross the courtyard. she had an idea of who the boy was after talking to some younger students and they said he may be outside in the courtyard. as she crossed the stones she looked around and sure enough there he was at least it was a boy who matched the description she had been given. she wondered if he was related to leda. either way, she hoped that he wasn't like her. she went over to him and smiled. "Hey, are you @Wendall Layton? she asked hoping she had found the right boy.

Wendall was making the most of the sunshine before the cooler weather kicked in. He knew that the roses that the WPC had been looking after would soon be going to good use, although he never expected to hear his own name. He looked up and blinked at a girl with really bright hair, "Hello?" Yes I am," he replied, tilting his head to the side as he tried to figure out how this girl knew who he was.

Willow was glad that she had found the right boy. It was harder than she had expected trying to track down people. It seemed like none of her roses were for Gryffindors which would have made things easier. "that is good because I have a rose for a Wendall Layton she said taking it out of her basket and handing a yellow rose and a note to him to him.

Wendall's eyes lit up when the girl said she had a rose for him, "Really?" he offered out his hand, surprised to have gotten anything at all. Opening up the note, he was suddenly giddy with excitement as he realised there were some sweets now in the common room and he absolutely had to get there before any of the other hufflepuffs stole them. He was about to turn and dart towards his common room there and then, but he couldn't leave without his manners. "Thank you very much," he took the older girls hand, giving it a little shake before turning and running back towards the castle, not wasting a single minute.
