Last year had flown by so quickly, Jeremiah's head was spinning slightly. It was amazing how fast things could go by, without him even realising it, it was a little annoying for him because Miah was one of those people that liked things going slowly and taking their time to progress, especially when it came to life in general. He didn't want his school life to fly by without him realising it, he wanted it to take its time, so he could fully understand, comprehend and enjoy the experience, even if it turns out to be a horrible one, atleast he wouldn't miss anything. Admittedly, Jeremiah wanted to be back in the holidays, because they were relaxing for him, being with his familyn was often difficult, but they were his family and he was loyal to them in whatever they needed done, even if he didn't always agree. He was twelve, so what did he know about his family and what he should be doing? It was his job to follow and listen to them, rather than go against them and everything he had ever been taught in his life. He wasn't sure he'd ever be able to betray his family, they were blood relatives and were rather tightnit and honest with each other, it was hard to feel anything but love for them. Jeremiah had considered bringing out his violin, but after some debate with himself, he decided that he wouldn't bring it out, he wanted to rest on the ground today, not stand around playing the violin, and he was coming out here to have a little bit of rest, so playing the violin was not needed, nor was wearing his regular clothing, instead he was sporting his Gryffindor robes.

When Jeremiah found his way amoungst the flowers, a smile crossed his face, they were very pretty and comforting for him. Plants were wonderful things, in Miah's eyes, they never failed to make him happy. It reminded him of home, but Hogwarts New Zealand gave him one thing his home never gave him. Friends. Jeremiah found his two friends both interesting and slightly infuriating at the same time, he'd never had that feeling before, but it was probably because they were all so different and unique, it was odd that they managed to form a friendship together. One thing that Hogwarts New Zealand also did, was make him a little lonely, a side effect of growing up virtually with no-one there and then being thrown into a place full of people. It had been intimidating at first, but now he was quite comfortable with most of it, and was awaiting for classes to start up. Seeing someone he knew, a smile once again graced his face, and he waved them over. "Ryder!" He called, still waving a little.

Ryder Straton was finally back at Hogwarts. The holidays had dragged by so slowly, not even replaying a minute by minute account to his mother had made them go by any faster. He had told her everything, all the amazing magic he had learnt about, the pictures that could move and the games of quidditch where people flew about on brooms. All of this had astounded his mother but Ryder wanted to go bake to experience more. More importantly the Hufflepuff wanted to see his best friend Miah again. They had left things at a bit of an awkward moment when they last saw each other, it was after the yule ball. An overwhelming wave of camp behaviour had come over him and he had begun to act rather weirdly resulting in a rather unprecedented kiss. Though Ryder hoped that Miah had forgotten about what had happened and that they could move on past the awkward kiss. So slipping on his shoes Ryder left the Hufflepuff common room going to try and find Miah.

Ryder figured he would be outside, taking the precious moments of fresh air before classes started. Heading out of the castle the hufflepuff skipped down the great lawn earning himself some weird looks as he went. His confidence let him do what he liked with out what other people thought affecting him at all. Spotting a familiar boy in the gardens who was waving at him. Grinning Ryder waved back and ran over to him "Miah!" he cried running right up to him and throwing his arms around his friend pulling him into a bone crushing hug. He felt Miah stumble slightly with the force of his hug but he ignored this fact. Pulling back Ryder held onto Miah just above the elbow and jumped up and down like an excited four year old. It was great to see him again. "How is my good-mannered pimp? Hm?" he asked the all to familiar feeling of campness coming over him. "Mmhm, you are looking dayum fine my friend." he conceded nodding in approval. He had missed Miah.

Jeremiah knew that Ryder was a rather excitable person, whenever he saw the Hufflepuff, he was always jumping around and appearing to have a great time-no matter where he was or what he was doing. Usually Miah would find such a trait to be particularly annoying, but the trait was expected from Ryder, therefore Miah could withstand it far more since Ryder was a friend. But still, the Gryffindor had not expected to be nearly pushed to the ground by a near bone-crushing hug after screaming his name. "Ry..." He mutter, feeling the air that was once in his chest be pushed out of his lungs and he stumbled slightly from losing his balance, he wasn't even sure how he managed to stay standing at this time. Finally he was released, somewhat. Ryder still had a firm grasp of his arm, but he didn't mind so much, at least now he could actually breathe properly and not have to worry about fainting from lack of air, that would have caused the situation to be a little down and saddening, since he hated medicine, and knew that his parents would have a fit it they found out that Miah had actually fainted on school grounds, they'd probably pull him out of Hogwarts New Zealand, something Miah didn't want to happen at all costs, he liked it here far too much to want to leave now.

Ryder soon began to jump up and down like a nut and Miah simply shook his head, keeping his cool as he usually did when Ryder got like this. There was no point in acting like a child in a candy store, that wouldn't calm Ryder down, it'd just make them both start jumping up and down like lunatics. It took Jeremiah a while to realise what Ryder had called him, it still didn't make much sense to him, but Ry had been using that nickname since the Yule ball, where Miah took two dates, something he didn't see as strange. "I've been decent." He replied, nodding at what sounded like approval, even though he wasn't entirely sure what Ryder had said, but he assumed that since it included the words 'looking' and 'fine' in one sentence, it was related to that. "You don't look too bad yourself, Ry. How were your holidays?" In all honesty, Ryder couldn't quiet remember what Ryder had done for the holidays, but he was curious as to what a muggle-born would do.
