Jordan sat alone on his bed, the rest of the children had been given permission to go on a field trip to a nearby city to site see, but another person requested to see him that day so he had sit around and wait for her to show up. He looked out the window glad to see the bright summer sun of the south.

Being bored he slid off his bed and kneeled on the floor pulling out his guitar in it's case. Lightly strumming the strings he was glad he was aloud to keep a few of her parents posessions. The guitar was a simple black aucostic, six strings, and a wonderful sound. Jordan pulled it out and sat on his bed and began to strum a song he taught himself by ear. It wasn't prefect but neither was he, so it suited him just fine.

Today had been a day that Cystine and Steven had talked about for quite some time. Ever since both of their girls had started to school the couple had talked about perhaps adopting a child, but knew that it would be difficult especially seeing as they couldn't just very well adopt just any child...it would have to be a child who was the same as them. The child they would adopt would have to have magic in their veins. The couple had finally reached a decision over their morning coffee when they'd gotten news that both of their daughters had been signed on for yet another season, which meant that both Kat and Serena would be staying in England for at least another year. They wanted to give a child an opportunity to have a family.

After arriving at the orphanage, Cystine suddenly began to feel very nervous. She gently squeezed her husband's hand and gave him a smile as they proceeded into the building where they were met by a very friendly older lady who explained the process of adopting and went over what seemed like a mountain of paperwork. When it was time to meet the boy that had been selected for them to meet today she suddenly became even more nervous than before. She simply wanted for this to all go well. As the pair followed the older lady down a long hallway Cystine began to hear music and when they stopped in a doorway she saw where the music was coming from. She smiled and her heart nearly leapt from her chest when the woman said, "I'd like for you both to meet Jordan. Jordan...this is Steven and Cystine Vanderhol, the couple I mentioned earlier today."

When his day had started, Steven Vanderhol was quite at ease with what he and his wife were about to do, but as the morning drew on her nerves began to get his all frazzled. "You're going to have to calm down dear. This is all going to work out wonderfully," he had told her more than once before arriving to the orphanage.

When Cystine squeezed his hand he gently returned it, assuring her that this was going to be a good thing. The man heard music and when they stopped at a room he saw where it was coming from. His expression softened when he saw the look on his wife's face. It was a look he'd only seen on her face two other times...the first being the day Katalina had been born and the second being the day Serena had been born. Still hand in hand with his wife, Steven stepped forward and was the first to speak. "Hello Jordan. I'm Steven and this is my wife Cystine. That's quite a talent you have there. Did you teach yourself to play?"

Jordan glanced up through his hair at the lady when she was introducing the couplethat had come to see him. He stopped playing when he noticed them, they seemed like nice looking people on the outside, though something was up with the women's face he couldn't quite think of the emotion she was feeling. "Uh, Yeah. A while back, it's the only thing I could bring here besides clothing," he said quietly his quiet voice stated to the air. He looked over the two and noticed they were holding hands, he knew then they must be a loving family at home. Jordan silently hoped this would be the last couple he would have to see, they last lady was nice but it didn't seem to work out. Jordan wasn't sure where to start with the couple, if he should ask them questions or not so he nodded to the elderly lady who left the room to them.

Sorry for such a late reply!

"Well you certainly did a fine job teaching yourself. From what I understand not everyone can teach themselves to play an instrument. Of course the only other person I've ever met with any musical talent would our niece, Lola," Steven started, wanting to try and ease his way into a conversation with the young lad. The man gave his wife's hand a gentle squeeze before finally letting it go and moving in a bit closer to Jordan. Taking two empty chairs from the corner of the room he situated them to where they were facing the young boy and motioned for Cystine to come and sit as well. After his wife had taken a chair, Steven situated himself into the empty one. "Do you have any other hobbies besides music?" He figured starting slow would be a good thing, that way they didn't frighten the poor boy.

Cystine's face took over a very serene expression as she looked at Jordan. She felt her husband give her hand a gentle squeeze which immediately calmed her frazzled nerves. When Steven motioned for her to sit in one of the chairs she did and listened as her husband asked what other hobbies the young boy had. The couple had gone through great lengths of searching through hundreds of files of orphaned children with magical backgrounds and abilities. It had taken them close to a year to finally narrow down their search and when they had found out about Jordan they'd been thrilled. If everything were to go as she hoped then they would have him home with them for a few months before he had to start back to school. Cystine tried to pick up on a right time to ask Jordan how much he knew about magic, but didn't want to frighten the boy so for now she decided to wait until it seemed like the right time.

Jordan watched as the two sat down glad they wanting to be comfortable, he always felt strange when people would stand and look down at him the entire time. Setting his guitar down he clasped his hands. "I enjoy people watching, I guess. There isn't much to do around here besides play," he said with a shrug. Of course he wouldn't admit he liked to makeup happy stories about people he would just seem even more depressing the whole orphanage was. "What do you both do?" He said directing the question more towards the man who had been doing most of the talking, well actually all the talking. He wondered if she was mute he did always enjoy mimes though his quiet voice did voice the question.
