It had been awhile since Sierra had done her paintings at Hogwarts. She had once planned to cover the school in rainbows and smiley faces, but for some reason, she just hadn't gotten around to doing it. Sierra figured it was because she had been to busy figuring out who she was and who she liked. Her previous year hadn't ended too well, and the fifth year realized she didn't really have anyone she could go to, apart from her mother. And, as her mother explained, as with most people who experienced some sort of sad in their life, she changed her hair colour. Whether it was to start over on a new leaf, or to try and figure out who she was, Sierra wasn't sure, but she did love having blonde hair. Sierra spent most of her break with her mother, talking, and doing lots of finger painting again. And so, with a renewed vigor, Sierra decided it was time to get back to her previous plan of painting lots of rainbows and sunshine and smiles around the school.
She had already painted a large, smiling sun in the courtyard, and was now moving on to do the rainbow. Perhaps even with a pot of gold at the bottom. With a huge grin, Sierra shoved her hand in the red paint, and got started.

Chrys was having one of those days, you know the ones, the ones that go so slow you feel like you’ve been standing still as time flowed and yet you look up and it’s been less than a minute in reality despite feeling like an eternity had passed you by. Chrys couldn’t say he was all that surprised since that was the large majority of most of his days now, just waiting for things to happen. He couldn’t say he was entirely sure of why, though if he had to guess he was sure it had something to do with being sad about Elsie whilst also having those issues from last year carrying over for him now. It was a slippery slope he didn’t fancy going down but he feared he had little choice in the matter as it was taken mostly out of his hands. A sigh escaped him as he pulled his hands roughly through his hair, tugging on it as he went as he tried desperately to release some of the pent up frustrations and anxieties he was feeling at having no direction over his life, his siblings in the school, his uncle here, worrying about his brother Ben, worrying his sister aleks, worrying about Rowan and subsequently anything that would come from that, worrying about what he was actually going to do with himself for the rest of the year and just generally life in the ether of what was supposed to be his life. It was a mess, he was a mess and he didn’t know how to back himself out of this corner. Of it were something he was inclined to do, Chrys might even have broken out a pillow to scream into, but that wasn’t really his thing. He needed twenty minutes, just twenty minutes to get his mind off of literally everything else that sucked in his life and focus on just one thing. Whilst heading into the courtyard had not been his initial destination, as he approached, he thought a bit of the outside feel would do him good. The courtyard was a nice little area he could have to himself, well not the whole area, but some. Of course when he got in there he noticed a most peculiar girl who appeared to be covering things in paint. She herself seemed to be wearing a bit of the paint and ever the curious cat, Chrys wanted to know what she was doing. Anything to get his mind off of everything. “What you up to, Kitty Cat?” he asked, tilting his head to look at the red paint she was smearing everywhere. “You got enough paint on you?”

Sierra had no where to rinse the red off of her hand, so she smeared it on her shirt and leg to try and get rid of it before moving on to Orange. As she went to start, a voice made her look up, and her eyes brightened immediately at her new nickname. That was definitely the best nickname in the history of all nicknames! A cat! A kitty cat! And I meow meow meow - She stopped the song in her head as the boy continued to talk. "Making a rainbow! And probably not enough. Do you want some?" She offered, holding up her now orange goopy hand.

Chrys was enjoying the sight of a girl covered in paint. It wasn't something he normally associated with girls his age, so it was quite refreshing honestly to see it in someone who seemed so carefree at this stressful time. He didn't know Sierra closely, but she was on the Quidditch team and they seemed to have a good looking group of players, so of course Chrys had paid attention. Between, Sierra, Jacob, Willow and Christian, it was any wonder he could ever manage to concentrate on the games. Of course all the teams had a bunch of people Chrys was attracted to, but Gryffindor seemed to have more of the monopoly. Chrys was almost disappointed Jacob Kingsley was leaving before he ever got a chance to do anything. Too late now, Chrys had moved on. "Join you making a rainbow? Hell yes," he said, immediately taking her hand to cover his hand with orange paint before running his hand down the front of his shirt. "Wait... I was supposed to put this on the mural wasn't I?" He asked, frowning as he looked at the rest of the colour. "So, red orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, okay, we can totally do that, right?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
