Open Apology

It was early morning, the day after the Yule Ball and Bruin strode into the Great Hall and posted a short, but honest note to the Bulletin Board. He hoped that the staff and students would take the letter for what it was, a sincere apology for his actions.

To the Staff and Students of Hogwarts New Zealand,

I am writing this letter to you all to offer my apologies for my behaviour at this evening's Yule Ball.  If you are not already aware, I was involved in a fight with another student that resulted in the destruction of a table of food and more importantly, the festive mood that so many had worked hard to create. 

For those in attendance, I hope that my actions didn't take away from what should have been an enjoyable and special evening for you.  I hope that you all have a good break and will find it in your hearts to forgive me for my embarrassing actions when we return to school in the new year.
