Angelo had never seen winter until he arrived in New Zealand. All they had at home was flood, rain, hot, or hotter than the deepest pits of hell. He'd never seen snow before. And so when he'd seen the expanse of snow outside the castle on their second day in the castle - a Sunday! - he didn't waste any time getting dressed and running out. He didn't have the best clothes for winter, since his mum had bought them all at a thrift shop back home, but they were better than just wearing a shirt and joggers. He didn't even have gloves, or a hat. Mostly because they'd thought it would be spring when the semester started. They didn't really... well... he didn't think the change from winter to spring wasn't like... a one-day thing. So yeah, there was still snow but he'd heard they were expecting the snow to melt in the next few weeks, so today was his chance! As soon as he made it to the Lawn - a huge expanse of still-white snow, he dropped himself on to the snow and waved his arms and legs like he'd always seen in the movies and Jesus Christ was it cold! The snow that touched the back of his neck had made him yelp but still laugh in utter giddiness. He got up then and looked at the snow angel he'd just made. Now to figure out how to build a snowman.

Lorena Howard loved the weather in New Zealand. She remembered what it was like overseas, and it was a little more chaotic. It was much warmer here. Lorena was also very much unaware of anything muggle. It was not because of her mother. Her mother did not care one way or another, but the Howard family were extremely strict about their family and the muggle world. Luckily, Lorena did not have many interactions with the Howard family. She was bundled up, snug and warm regardless of her robes. They were supposed to be warm, but she was still chilled. She liked going out in the cold because the air was crisp. It was easier to breathe, it felt like. As she walked across the lawn, she saw someone she had class with on the ground, making a snow angel. He seemed to be enjoying himself, and then admired his own work. "You seem happy. What are you doing?" Lorena asked, since after the snow angel, she was not sure what he was going to do next. All she could think of was how relieved she was that she had on mittens.
