Jamie had half suggested signing the documents for getting married as a way to help show that it didn't matter the when, it was forever their thing. But when Onyx had shown an interest in doing it quickly before he went off with his sister, Jamie had been all for it. Today was just them, Sapphire and the person in the mayor's office so they could sign the document and be married in the eyes of the law. The rest of it, the fun of the wedding and the celebration that would come later, but at least they'd already be married. Jamie had gotten to the mayor's office ahead of time, using some of his pull and leeway to get things moving this quickly. He knew that Onyx would be here soon, and he knew that though this was a private and tiny process, that he would probably be dressed up. Jamie had put on his best suit, it was well pressed and immaculate, a little bowtie and his hair was done nice. He hadn't not dressed up. The man had gotten them some quick rings so they'd have these and be able to change them out when they actually went away. it would be a simple exchange for fancier better rings once they had the fancier, busier service. But for now he was content. Jamie was just waiting, knowing that Onyx with Sapphire would be there any minute.

Onyx was nervous. He had been ecstatic when Jamie suggested they get married, and had been swept away with himself. He'd gone to see Tyra, almost as soon as they had woken up, and had enlisted the woman to help him customize a dress. He'd spent a lot of today getting dolled up. His ebony hair had been just slightly curled, and it was parted more to the side, letting the majority of his hair swoop in a dark wave over one side of his face. He'd taken a white hydrangea blossom and placed it behind his exposed ear. He'd worn makeup, a lighter, more natural look with a hint of glitter. He was only wearing lip gloss, but his eyeliner was on point, and the darker brown eye shadow made his sapphire eyes pop.

The dress itself was gorgeous. There was a silk, off the shoulder sash on top of a white lace bodice. It was a corset, with a long row of small white bows tracing the curve of his spine. It had taken Tyra ten minutes just to tie the corset onto him. The line of his bodice ended at his waist, but traced down towards his hips. The skirt was the same silk of his shoulder sash. The left side acted like his hair, sweeping down almost past his knee on the left and tapering up to a small bow on his right hip. The right side of his skirt was open, and he wore darker lace leggings that fell just above his knee. He had slid into a pair of strappy white open toed heels. Overall, he looked amazing.

But the closer they got to the mayor's office, the more nervous he became. They had gone inside, but just before turning the final corner where Jamie was waiting for them, Onyx froze, suddenly feeling insanely nervous. Sapphire stopped as he did and turned to look at him, her brow raised. Onyx shook his head, wringing his hands. "Sapph- we have to go back- I can't- what am I wearing, this is too much, he's going to think it's too much, I went overboard, I got too carried away, Sapph-" Onyx whined lightly, his nerves getting the best of him.

She rolled her eyes, and having none of his nonsense, just grabbed his arm and dragged him around the corner, throwing him into Jamie. Onyx yelped, blushing furiously, and peeked up at his fiancé. "H-hello," he greeted shyly. Onyx took a step back, and was immediately distracted by how nice Jamie looked. "Wow," he breathed, looking Jamie over before peeking back up at him again. "You look so gorgeous, mon chiot," Onyx complimented, still wringing his hands.

Jamie knew that Onyx would show up, but he was beginning to feel a little nervous given how time sensitive all of this was. and he was unable to stop himself from hearing the little tidbit of what Sapphire said to Onyx as they arrived. But his love was shoved into his arms and he caught him easily. He smiled at him, a smile beaming with love and pride. "Hi baby," his gaze already tracing the lines of Onyx's face, the curls, the flower. He then glanced over the rest of him, he had always loved how Onyx dressed, it wasn't how he would dress, but he loved how beautiful and confident each look was, and this...well...if this was what he'd wear for this simpler ceremony, Jamie wasn't sure he'd find words for the larger ceremony. "I'm nothing in comparison to you, mon beau mec," Jamie reached out and took Onyx's hands, looking over his outfit. "You are so beautiful baby," he told him before glancing at the pfficial who was getting the documents ready for them. "Shall we?" he siad and he took the pen from the official and signed the document and dated it, then held out the pen for Onyx.

Onyx relaxed, purring softly as Jamie took his hands. He smiled gently, blushing as Jamie called him his beautiful man. He giggled as the man called him beautiful a second time. He walked over with Jamie, keeping one hand in his and lacing their fingers together. He watched Jamie sign his name and his eyes widened. "Wait, your full name is James?" Onyx asked, letting out an astonished laugh. He had never thought Jamie was just a nickname, He had always thought that Jamie was just his name. Shaking his head, he reached for the pen, signing his name. He couldn't help the way his eyes teared up as he passed the pen to his sister, letting her sign the witness statement. He stepped aside a bit, looking up to Jamie and hoping it wasn't obvious how close to crying he was. "Onyx Derouin," He whispered, reaching up to pull his husband down into a teary kiss, hardly noticing that his sister was taking pictures.

Jamie looked down at his name and just laughed, "No one calls me James," he replied though he knew it was a hell of time for him to find this out. But it was also not something that matter at all. He just watched Onyx sign and then watched Sapphire sign too, he appreciated that she was here with them. He looked at Onyx and gave a warm smile, he was so in love with his husband...His husband....how wonderful his life was with this man in his life. "My beautiful husband, Onyx Derouin," he said softly before leaning into the kiss. He loved him. He was going to miss him so much, but he loved that they'd done this. Loved him.

Onyx giggled as Jamie said it too, laying his arms over Jamie's shoulder and relaxing into him. He ran his fingers into Jamie's hair, giggling gently. This entire thing felt just so surreal. He stayed close to Jamie, keeping either his hand or an arm as they wandered outside. The sun was starting to set, and Onyx realized with a touch of surprise that he hadn't eaten all day. He was distracted though as his sister had followed them out. "Alright, lovebirds, pose for the camera," Sapphire ordered, and Onyx couldn't help but laugh and cuddle into his husband.

He looked up to Jamie, smiling warmly. "We should absolutely get copies of all these pictures she's taking and put our favorite one up in the living room," he told Jamie, thinking it would be nice to have a few wedding photos around the house. Maybe they could hang photos along the staircase to tell like a story, put up that photo of their first date and move along with photos of this and then the wedding ceremony and then later on the kids. Maybe have a photo of Jamie and his team near the beginning and one of Onyx's family photos. He didn't realize he'd lost himself in thought a bit.

Jamie smiled for the camera and nodded. "Of course, we'll line the walls with pictures of us, of you," Jamie then took his hand, "Come on, we've somewhere to be," he said. Though they hadn't yet done the big ceremony, he knew that they still needed to at least go away for a couple of days. Jamie had planned it out, they weren't going very far, but a fancy house right on the beach front in Spain for a few days was exactly what they needed. Some private and for them. Jamie thanked Sapphire for joining them, thanked her for the pictures before leading Onyx to where they could apparate. "You ready?" he asked with a smile.

Onyx chuckled, keeping close to Jamie. "And pictures of you, silly," he smiled for his sister, looking up in Jamie in surprise as he said they had somewhere to be. "We do?" He asked, curious. He hugged his sister, thanking her, before following Jamie. He smiled up at his husband, wrapping his arms around Jamie's waist. "I'm ready when you are, mon amour," he smiled lovingly up at him.

Jamie wrapped an arm around him and with a snapped they had arrived at the front door of a fancy Spanish villa. The evening was warm, a humid air, and then grinned. "It's ours for a couple of days," he said quietly. He didn't pull away from Onyx. "I should carry you across the threshold, my beautiful husband," he couldn't get over the words, he wouldn't get over the words. "Onyx Derouin," he muttered softly, already wanting to just get his husband inside so they could get started on their life together.

Onyx shut his eyes as they apparated, opening them again to look around once they had stilled. Where was this? Spain, maybe? It was gorgeous. He looked back to his husband as Jamie spoke, giggling and leaning in closer. "What's stopping you?" He teased. Onyx couldn't help but giggle as Jamie said it again. He pushed up to steal a kiss, purring loudly. Today was perfect. Jamie was perfect. Onyx giggled again, reaching to run his fingers into Jamie's hair.

Jamie picked Onyx up as he pushed into a kiss and carried him bridal style over the threshold of this honeymoon home and of course they were going to have a lot of good fun. He woke up late the next day with Onyx snoozing next to him. The sun was streaming into the house and there was a warm air. He stetched in the bed and let out a content sigh. He couldn't believe they were actually married, that yesterday had actually happened. He sat up and then got to his feet, carefully extracting himself from the bed and moving to the balconey, The air was warm and humid, the sun felt nice on his skin, though really it tended to be quite warm where they were normally.

Onyx was half asleep, content to be snoozing in the sun with Jamie's warmth against him. He had been in a state of bliss since they'd got here, or really, since they'd signed the papers to make it official. He stirred as Jamie got out of bed, rolling over. It took him a good minute before he found the energy to move. He reached out, his fingers grasping at the empty sheets even though he already knew Jamie wasn't there. Grumbling, Onyx peeked open an eye. Locating his husband, Onyx pulled himself out of bed and padded over the floor to burrow into Jamie's back again, wrapping his arms around the man. "'Scuse you," He grumbled, sighing softly and leaning into the man. "I wasn't done cuddling," he yawned, pressing a kiss to the mans shoulder blade and relaxing again.

Jamie glanced just as Onyx wrapped his arms around him. He leaned into the touch with a little hum of agreement. "I wanted to see the sun Mr Derouin," he told him with a sleepy and loved up tone. He could only feel love for his husband, feel their love. "I love you so much," he knew he didn't really need to say it but all he wanted to do was shower him in love. He waved his hand lightly and a little red rose was conjured. "Shall I make us some breakfast?" he was holding the flower towards Onyx.

Onyx giggled tiredly as Jamie called him Mr. Derouin, squeezing his arms around the other man. He pulled back just a bit to look up at his husband. "You're my sun, Mr. Derouin," he returned, giggling again at how cheesy it sounded. He took the rose, and tried to tuck it in Jamie's hair behind his ear. "Mmm, no," he replied easily, turning and trying to shuffle back to bed. "Order something in, and come back to cuddle with me," he tried, falling back onto the mattress. He rolled, smiling at his husband and opening up his arms to try and beckon Jamie back to the comfort of bed.

Jamie hummed contently and gave a little smile. He loved him so much, he couldn't believe how full his heart was for love for his husband. He nodded a little, "No baby, I made sure there was food, I'll cook you something, you just stay in bed," he leaned in to give him a kiss. He wanted to shower his husband in love, wanted to make him food and enjoy it with him in the bed.

Onyx pouted a bit, taking a pillow and cuddling that instead. He rolled to lay on his belly, stretching out and relaxing into the mattress. He wanted to pull a blanket over him, but he also felt too lazy to do it. "Alriggght," he sighed, giving Jamie his best pouty eyes. "But don't be too long, I wanna cuddle," He stuck his lower lip out just a bit to try and get a little bit of sympathy.

Jamie smiled at his husband and then headed out of the room. He made the short walk downstairs, with in minutes he managed to use his magic to get things beginning to move to cook and mix. He wasn't too long downstairs getting some pastries and some scrambled egg. He made sure that everything was on a tray and he headed back upstairs. He looked to his husband and then moved to sit next to him on the bed, bouncing on to the mattress and into his side. "Come baby, breakfast,"

Onyx sighed as Jamie left. Clearly Onyx needed to work on his pout, he didn't even get a kiss out of that last one. He started to doze again, warm, and he was half asleep when Jamie bounced into bed beside him. Onyx's eyes fluttered open again, and he yawned. He sat up, rubbing his eyes and looking up to Jamie with a sleepy smile. At the smell of the food, Onyx suddenly remembered how long it had been since he'd eaten. "Oh, thank you," He shifted, sitting as close to Jamie as he could manage and reaching for some food. "I love you, mon chiot," Onyx murmured, turning his head to press a kiss to Jamie's jawline before settling in for breakfast.

Jamie smiled at Onyx as he began eating the breakfast. He was tucked into his side. "Love you too," Jamie replied back. He knew that he wouldn't only have a little more of this sort of thing left before Onyx went travelling for a while, so he wanted to make the most of it. They'd have forever, but he did want to savour every moment they were together. "I'm gonna miss you baby," he told him softly.

Onyx had just taken a bite of food when Jamie spoke. He looked up, swallowing quickly and trying not to get too choked up, but he couldn't help the lump in his throat or the slight glisten of tears in the corner of his eyes. "Aw, Jamie," Onyx's lip quivered a bit and he turned, reaching out for his fiancé husband. "I'm going to miss you so much," he replied, biting his lip. He hesitated a second before turning. He'd noticed his bag at the bottom of the bed last night. He wasn't sure how it had gotten there, but he was glad for it. He crawled down, digging inside it a moment before coming back a moment later. "I was going to wait, and have Uncle James bring this by for you on valentine's, but I want you to have it before I go," he explained shyly, holding out the box with it's sapphire blue bow.

"I had some help with it, but its an old walkman that was enchanted so it works in the flat," He explained. "It took me some time, and it isn't really finished, but I wrote a cd for you," Onyx continued, almost shyly. "There are a few instrumentals, pieces I wrote about our life. I labelled all the songs in the coverbook, wrote down the lyrics and explanations for the instrumentals. I haven't gotten the album art back from Ava yet." Onyx was chattering a little, more nervous now. "I- I've been working on it a while, when you were at practices, all the instruments and vocals and editing and sound were done by me, it was harder than I thought it would be, I had to borrow Ember's studio a lot," Onyx let out a slow sigh, peeking up at Jamie. "There's still more I wanted to do. I've only finished about half the songs, but..." He bit his lip to shut himself up.

Jamie took some food from Onyx's plate as he hummed along. He was a little surprised at the gift. He took it and held it lightly in his hands as Onyx began tell him what it was. Onyx opened the box and looked at the cd inside of it. He'd never seen anything like it before and thought it was endlessly cute. "Baby...," he said, he wasn't sure how it worked, but he knew that in hearing it, he'd always hear Onyx and the love they had for each other. "I'll always be able to hear you voice and music." he was clarifying but it was said in a tone of awe. "This is amazing...I've never...just baby...i love you," was all he could say, he'd figure out the details later.

Onyx smiled, glad that Jamie seemed to like it. He giggled softly, leaning over and moving everything to the bedside table. "C'mere, mon chiot," Onyx whispered, pulling Jamie with him back into bed. The day went by quickly after that. Onyx honestly couldn't think that he had ever had a better day. He loved being with Jamie. They had spent most of the morning in bed, slowly eating breakfast and enjoying each others company. They'd spent time on the beach, out in the water, danced in the candlelight in the kitchen and made dinner.

He wasn't even thinking about the weather that night, he and Jamie were curled up together and tangled in the sheets. Onyx was half awake, enjoying the warmth of his husband in bed with him. He hadn't even noticed the incoming storm until it was right on top of them. Thunder boomed, shaking the house, and Onyx yelped. He bolted out of bed, the sheets around his legs tripping him and making him crash to the floor. The wind was howling and lightning and thunder were almost constant over the pounding of the rain.

Onyx curled up on the floor, whimpering, shaking. His fingers tangled in his hair, he tried to hide in the floor, sobbing quietly as the storm raged around them. He could only hope Jamie didn't wake up- Onyx had hid his fear of thunderstorms successfully for a long time. He couldn't imagine what the other man would think if he saw Onyx now.

As ever spending time with Onyx was simple. They had a perfect day in his mind, just enjoying this blissfulness of a honeymoon. The night fell and there was that usual smell in the air indicating perhaps it would thunder during the night. Jamie thought nothing of it and went to bed with Onyx curled into him. He was awoken, as someone in the bed beside him moved and shifted. He opened his eyes as another roll of thunder boomed. He reached out to his side noting that Onyx wasn't there and sat up a little to note his husband shaking and crying..on the floor. Jamie frowned a little but, given the thunder storm he could figure it out a little. Jamie grabbed his wand from the bedside table and tiredly waved it. The windows closed, locking firmly, and the noise lessened. He gave a second flick and the curtains thickened, making the room darker, but preventing more of the lightening from illumanting the room. He then put down the wand and moved off the bed to Onyx. "Baby?" he said, not wanting to touch him just yet. "Baby, it's okay, you're okay, storm will pass in a moment," he assured him.

Onyx was too caught up in his fear to notice the changes in the room, but he did feel the shifting of Jamie moving closer. Onyx peeked up, taking his hands away from his ears just a bit. "I- I'm sorry," he hiccupped, reaching for Jamie for a brief moment. Thunder shook the house again and Onyx yelped, drawing his hands back quickly and curling in tighter on himself, pressing his palms harder against his ears to try and block the thunder. He bit his lip, trying to stop himself, but the storm had him too shaken up to really help. "I should've- I didn't- I'm such a baby, I'm s-sorry," he whimpered, stuttering and stammering with the storm. "Jamie," He whined, pressing impossibly harder into the floor.

Jamie shook his head lightly. As Onyx reached for him, he moved to wrap his arms around him but didn't tighten his hold as Onyx jumped at the crash of more thunder. He shook his head. "It's okay, I'll keep you safe," he assured him. he wanted to pull the man up off the floor, and at least bring him back into the bed. He waved his wand again, putting a silencing charm on the room. "Come back to bed baby," he said, trying to coax him back.
