School was finally, finally over for the semester. Arianna was so glad not to be trapped in the castle any longer. What she had thought would be a prefect ending to a happy start to the year, had completely twisted itself around on her. She didn't even want to think of the Yule Ball. Apart from the annoyance that she had plainly let Austin Deveraux see, the night brought back a sadness and type of rejection to the pit of her stomach. She hadn't quite been rejected, seeing as she had never spoke of her feelings or asked of his, however to find out, after spending the summer with him and thinking that he was possibly interested in her, that he was dating one of her friends had been a real blow to Arianna. Aside from her self esteem being knocked down, her trust in Austin had all but evaporated. The emotion that was angering her the most however, was that she undeniably missed him. Missed being able to laugh with him, and feel as if she were actually a special person to him. These thoughts once again clouded her mind as she walked through Brightstone village, further away from the school which she was dreading her return to.

Arianna walked as though she was on a mission, though she had no idea where she was going. Her parents along with Falcon had arrived in the country already, she knew, however she would be meeting them later that day. Tucking a few stray wisps of deep brown hair behind her ear, Arianna slowed as she found herself almost outside the town. No other students were about, just locals and people that lived on the outskirts of the wizarding village. Now she could relax slightly.

Shane had been rather down lately, and he needed something to distract him. Something that wouldn't really bring him down. Shane had on a black tee shirt, and blue jeans. His sneakers fiddled with the dirt. He leaned against the brick wall of a shop, just being by himself. His mother was doing something, and he was on his own for a bit. He was turned seventeen in a month. That would be sweet for him to finally be an adult. He blinked his onyx eyes as he thought of something to do. He was bored. He needed something to do, and he had no one around him. His thoughts went back to Hilde and he wondered why he was bothering with girlfriends. What he should be trying to do was make Hilde jealous. That thought made him smirk wickedly. But he couldn't use some innocent girl really. He needed someone that was hurt, someone that wanted revenge. Shane combed his hair back with his fingers, and stepped out of shadows of the alley. But just as he did, he slammed his tall form right into someone. A lad. Shane shot him a dirty look, before heading out toward the end of town. there his eyes rested upon a girl with his back to him. Shane folded his arms across his chest and he inquired, "Should you not be in school, or are you guys on Holidays?" Shane didn't know who she was, but he assumed that the girl went to the Hogwarts here.

Arianna had just realised that there was nothing to do in this quiet part of town, when a voice from behind her made her turn around. Arms still folded, she assumed that the stranger was talking to her. She noticed that he seemed about her age, and also noticed that he was quite good looking. Under normal circumstances she would have answered him quietly and have stood awkwardly or walked away. However in her current state, Arianna didn't want to do that. She obviously wasn't liked for herself, and being with a strange and good looking boy couldn't hurt. Especially if she was seen by Austin, or somebody that knew him. She looked up into the boy's face with her dark brown eyes "We've been let out for the summer, thank god." she said, beginning to walk a little close with small quiet steps. Since he'd had to ask, it was obvious that he didn't attend Hogwarts. No school? Right now that seemed strangely attractive to Arianna. Rebllious and dark haired, the opposite of a certain Ravenclaw she knew. She looked down at her sandals scuffing in the dirt, smile still on her face. What was she doing? These flirtacious actions were not usual for her.

After the rather bad breakup with Arianna Perry, Shane didn't think that he should be seeking out any more girls until he got over himself with the Hilde matter. He didn't want to date her because they were just friends, and that was all they were meant to be. Friends. They had chemistry and that could not be denied. Shane would have to make sure that she was ready to commit before he would truly seek her out. His onyx eyes watched as the girl turned around, and he immediately smiled. He was thoroughly pleased with the way this girl looked. Shane was rather shallow, and by the looks of his previous girlfriends, it was obvious that he was shallow. Though he actually liked the last girl, things got too complicated between them. He also appreciated that she was flirting with him, which could be given right back to her as well. He spoke, his voice alluring, "Ah, and your plans are to walk alone. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to go out for something to drink, or would I be stepping over the line?" Shane was forward at times, but he was interested in this girl. Something led him to her, and he was unaware of Austin - even though the two never really gotten to know each other well at all.

Arianna smiled in a way that she hadn't ever before. She looked up from under her eyelashes, when normally she would look a person straight in the eye. She was attempting to make herself appear prettier in a non tomboy way. Honestly, Arianna was a little sick of being different to her more girly friends. She hardly ever felt as if she was wearing anything pretty, always comfortable instead. Glad that she was wearing a reasonably nice top, Arianna let the thoughts drift away. She would have to go shopping these holidays. Letting her arms unfold, she lightly linked her fingers behind her back as she continued smiling the new smile "Well that would be quite nice, actually" Arianna replied in a purposefully light voice. It wouldn't do to come off as desperate. Her smile beginning to look a bit devious, she said innocently "What line?" Making it very clear that she would have no lines that day. The reserved Arianna was obviously not likeable, as she had found on the night of the Yule ball. Austin, who knew her almost as well as she did herself hadn't been interested in the old her, and so she felt the need to change, to become more attractive. And this guy certainly seemed appropriate to try it out on. And if Austin saw them, well then that would be even better.

Shane had to admit, he was starting to like this girl more and more as the seconds passed. She was quite the eye candy. Shane forgot about his ex girlfriend, and he worked on trying to get this one on his side, but then he realized that he didn't really need a girlfriend, but he wanted one. Maybe this one would do, so he could work on trying to make Hilde jealous in some art or form. Shane smiled when she accepted his offer, and though the added comment about the 'what line' made him laugh softly under his breath. "That's what I like to hear," he intoned with a devious smirk of his own. He pointed to a small cafe, and he said, "What say we hurry before a good table is taken? By the way, I'm Shane." He wanted to know this name, maybe she had an angel's name? It was quite possible. He breathed in the summer air, but he did not make a move to put any physical activity upon her. He may be a good womanizer, but he did not put any unwanted touch upon a woman.

Somehow this didn't just feel like he meeting of two popped. Something more was to come from it, Arianna was sure. Not usually one to have a relationship with somebody she barely knew, the risk seemed almost... Fun. She smiled up at him again, lettin a little mre of he real her enter her features. Even his name was attractive. He looked just like the dark type she would normallynever go near. Perfect. And the fact that he was incredibly good looking didn't hurt. A small voice in the back of her head was saying that he had nothing on Austin's fairer looks, but she ignored it. She nodded even before looking around at the cafe he was pointing out. Arianna honestly didn't care were they went. Realizing after a few seconds that she should probably introduce herself in return, she said "Arianna" in return as she walked beside him towards the cafe. She knew it was s silly notion, but wondered if her name was attractive to him. Arianna had never really thought about her name, however it sounded almost babyish as she said it in her head. Hoping he wouldn't hink ofit that way she followed him inside, immediatly liking the little cafe. She wasn't hungry in thes slightest, and her money was a little low anyway. "Do you live in the area?" she asked, eyes scanning the room for a table.

Shane wondered if he could introduce her into things that be would be into. Though he didn't exactly want to drive anyone down the road he could possibly be going in his lifetime. Shane held the door open for the cute girl as they entered the cafe, and then he heard her name. He almost stopped short when he heard that. "Arianna. Merlin, that's a common name." What could he really say about that? His name that he told her was merely what he preferred to go by. His real name was Shanaos Kiril Zhefarovich the third. That was a mouthful anyway, so he just went by Shane. He found a good table, and he started to head that way, and he slid into the booth. He waved for a waiter, and he inquired, "What would you like? I'm buying." He himself got an unsweetened tea, and he bit his lip to answer the question when the waiter had left. He said, his Bulgarian accent tying into his words, "I live in Bulgaria, with mom and her brothers. A few others live there, but a lot of them have come here for some odd reason. What about you?" There was something about this girl. Shane could picture her has a good kisser, and maybe soft to the touch. However, these thoughts were not revealed in his devious eyes.
