The weather was backward here in New Zealand. While it would be autumn time in Salem, here in New Zealand it was spring. Maya would have to get used to the weather down here again. A better way to get used to it fast was to be on patrol today. The auror department was having one of those slow days, so Maya offered to go out and keep Obsidian Harbour under surveillance. It would be a dull post if she was already advanced in her position, but she wasn't so she took up a post near the shops. The sun was out hiding from the clouds, meaning sunglasses were on and a light brown leather jacket kept her warm from the breeze coming in the harbour. Maya can't complain, for this year she will have two springs and two summers this year. When she went on vacation or needed to stop by to visit family, she'll have a change of weather. Halloween will probably be the only time it will feel the same because she was going back to Salem to visit that day. Maya can't miss Halloween in Salem.
