It was early in the morning, Laura had arranged to meet up with Robbie the week before and she was early, if she was any earlier it would be dark, the sun was rising and there was a blanket of mist covering the lake, one might say it was peaceful and beautiful. Laura wouldn't have noticed, she was just nervous about seeing Robbie. She was pacing up and down the path that ran around the shore of the lake, back and fourth, back and fourth, trying to decide wether or not Robbie would show up. Laura, normally being calm and collected was now growing more and more anxious as each minute passed. Laura shivered, its not that the morning was cold, in fact it was a comfortable temperature, it was just the atmosphere around Laura, it made her feel uneasy, she just couldn't put her finger on it. She tried to bush it of without another thought but for some weird reason she just couldn't. This was weird, all she wanted to do was feel normal. She had been feeling normal for the past few weeks and everything had been fine, she was studying and attending classes, she had been having a good few months, and in those few months Laura felt secure. Now was different, Laura needed to know why she was feeling this way and what she could do to change it. Needing to know everything that was going on was probably one of the things that got Laura sorted into Ravenclaw, that and her love for reading and learning. She felt like a stereotype now, thinking about why she was in her house, still, it was better than feeling weird over nothing. Laura didn't stop pacing, she hadn't stopped, her mind was working at almost full speed, the last thing on her mind was what her body was doing. Laura looked out at the lake once she had finally made the wise decision stopped pacing and stood still, waiting for Robbie and staying still would look a whole lot better than pacing around nervously. Keeping up a good look was something Laura would never usually care about, but she was seeing Robbie and she had a crush on him, who wouldn't make an effort to be 'cool' around the guy you like? Not Laura, that's for sure.

Robbie had a new feeling in his life, now. It was a feeling of love, a crush some people would say, and it was a feeling of security. He had somebody he could be himself around and they wouldn't judge him. In fact, Laura would probably never do anything to even hurt Robbie. He knew that if there was anybody in his life that he could trust with every aspect inside of it, it was Laura, and that was how it would stay. Robbie knew that she would never judge him, she would never hurt him and he knew that he could trust her no matter what happened in his life. This made him happy, it made him feel safe, and right now, more then anything else, he wanted to see her and he wanted to see her right now! He decided that heading to the Lake, somewhere outside, would be the best place to start looking for her so that's where he now headed. He and her had decided to hang together here, and there would be nothing to stop that from happening. Robbie wanted to spend more time with her then what they had the last time, mainly because he had spent the last time they were together, mostly, hiding his face in shyness.

Robbie spotted her the second he started to approach the Lake. She was there, pacing backwards and forwards. She was either anxious, or incredibly nervous. Were they the same thing, or where they different? Robbie wasn't even sure anymore. They had different words, so did that make them different? Robbie was getting sidetracked, and ran over to Laura. Should he run? Was that a bad choice of action? Robbie wasn't even sure anymore. He decided to just run over, and hug Laura. "Hello!" Robbie piped up, obviously happy to see her. There was nowhere else Robbie would rather be today, then with Laura. He knew that she liked him back and that feeling was what made Robbie not shy around her.

Waiting for Robbie was becoming worse as the time went by, Laura was paranoid, in the sense that she liked Robbie. Of course she liked him, he was sweet and adorable, could somebody like Laura not like a guy like Robbie? With how cute he was and how he stuttered in the way that he did. He was one of the only things she could think about right now, that and school, oh the stereotypical irony of a Ravenclaw thinking about school. Even if Laura was insanely anxious, she was thankful in so many different ways for meeting Robbie the way she did. They had just had one simple conversation but it was so much more, even somebody as smart as Laura couldn't understand it. Laura was happy to see Robbie again, there would be something seriously wrong with her if she didn't. She was just so anxious about how to act, and what to say, and what to do when she was around him. So far she had been relying on instinct and it hadn't let her down so far. She was just ever so unsure about what to do now. She was new to the whole 'crush' thing, if she knew what to do, she wouldn't have been so anxious but she just couldn't help it. That was why when somebody hugged her and shouted Hello in a surprisingly enthusiastic voice, Laura just stood still, in shock. Who was this random hugging her? She hadn't seen them approach at all. Once she realised it was Robbie, Laura hugged him back with her arms around his neck. After she had pulled away from the hug, Laura smiled and said "Hi Robbie, nice to see you again." Before she blushed and tilted her head down to look at her feet, a typical way of showing you like somebody. The usually confident Ravenclaw was now awestruck by her first crush. The best thing was that he liked her back. Laura couldn't have asked for anything more than what she had with Robbie right now. Well, she could want one more thing with Robbie. Laura was going to make the decision on how the day went. Luckily, at the moment Laura had no doubt about it in her mind.

Honestly, Laura didn't really now what to do next. She was standing in front of Robbie, blushing and staring at her feet. She must have looked juvenile like that, or she could have looked like she was star struck by Robbie, which, in fact she was. He wasn't even a celebrity, but he looked that way in her eyes. He was a celebrity to her, and nothing of the lesser. She was in way over her head, she hardly knew Robbie and even if it felt like she could predict his every move and like she had known him for so much longer, she hadn't predicted that he was going to hug her like he had just done. She was 'zoned out' in a sense and Robbie could have been standing with her for a bit before he hugged her, she would have noticed then, wouldn't she? It was all so confusing. Laura ignored this feeling and decided to hug Robbie again, this time, her arms were around his waist and her head was resting on his chest. It was comforting to know he was there and that she wasn't alone like she had been recently. Laura sighed in relaxation at how comforted she felt, "I hope you have been doing okay Robbie." Laura said in a dreamy tone, barely above a whisper. That was what Robbie did to Laura, he hade her feel special. Which she hardly ever did feel. That was one of the many things on a long list that made her like him so much. If only he knew. She thought to herself, still in he comfort of Robbie's arms. The morning had become cold now, Fortunately for Laura, she had Robbie to keep her warm. That was if he didn't mind. Laura didn't think he minded because he had hugged her before, but now might have been different, these where the things that you couldn't use intelligence to figure out, Laura knew this so she just left it up to chance instead of trying to analyse it in her mind.

Robbie was happy now that he was in Laura's arms again. It made him feel safe, and it made him feel like he belonged somewhere in the world. But, most of all, it made him feel happy. Robbie liked being happy, which was one of the reasons he loved to spend time with Laura, and he loved doing that all the time. He loved how she could make him happy no matter what mood he had been in beforehand, it seemed to be a special skill that only she had, and it was a special skill that Robbie wouldn't trade for anything else in the world. Laura was one of a kind, and he was going to make sure that she realised this every day of her life. Robbie hoped that they would at least he friends for the most part of her life, if not something a little more. He knew what he wanted, but he didn't know if it was what she wanted for them.

Robbie smiled at her, as she stayed in his arms and said that she hoped he had been okay. "Yes, I have been good, and it's nice to see you again as well. I've definitely been looking forward to today." Robbie said. He was definitely a changed man. Any other time he would have been tripping over his sentences, and then tripping over literally when he tried to run and hide. But there was something about Laura that made Robbie able to talk about normally and not make a fool of himself in public and make everyone out there think that he was weird. Robbie didn't want to leave her arms, so he didn't. They just stood there in each other's arms, which was something that he enjoyed a lot.

To Laura, Robbie was warm and soft and sweet. It was more than anything she could have imagined. She sighed, that was all she could do at the time, there was nothing else she could do, the feeling she had in the pit of her stomach made her feel sick, in a good ay, more than she ever thought possible. It is amazing how much you can know somebody and analyse them with something as unrecognisable and simple as a sigh. If Robbie was anything like her, he would have been able to tell exactly what she was thinking when she had sighed. What was she thinking? That was the question. She wasn't completely sure, she was happy to be around Robbie and she felt safe, but there wasn't really anything specific on her mind. She thought it was a good thing because she could just focus on Robbie, her first crush. She didn't want to think about anyone or anything else anyway. That was something she liked when she was around him, she could clear her mind and only focus on one thing instead of the usual array of a million thoughts at once running through her mind.

Smiling, Laura managed to hide how adorable Robbie was, she was able to not laugh, if she would have laughed, it was guaranteed that she would look stupid and the irony of somebody really stupid being sorted into Ravenclaw would be too much for her to handle. "I've been looking forward to today so much and now that it's here, all I can do is smile." Laura was being her usual honest self, and she wasn't embarrassed at all. Not even the slightest bit of embarrassment rendered it's ugly head in Laura's intelligent mind. Now that they had been standing there for a little while, Laura made the decision that she was going to start walking, so naturally she moved away from Robbie, only a little, just enough for her to look up at him and inquire "Do you want to go for a walk?" before she flipped her hair to the side, when she was in Robbie's arms a few moments ago her hair had gotten messed up and it was all in her face. She was relieved to know that he hair was somewhat fixed and wasn't a complete mess anymore.

Robbie couldn't believe how lucky he was that he knew Laura. Every moment spent with her.. was something unbelievable after the next. It was like a fairy tale to Robbie, and he never wanted to emerge from it. He wanted her to know exactly what he felt for her, but he didn't know how to tell her. They weren't even dating, but the feelings of admiration that Robbie had for her weren't normal. They were something special. Something that Robbie would never forget. Robbie smiled at her, and he couldn't take his eyes off of her right now. There was something about Laura, that made him unable to look away until she did. There was something that was in her eyes, something that Robbie never thought he would experience. Robbie had wanted to be with her every single moment since they had last parted, and now that they were together again he didn't want her to leave his site. They had only known each other for a short time but there was something special about Laura, something that made him unable to be shy around her anymore. He had been near hopeless when they had met though. Just like with everyone else.

Robbie smiled at Laura again, and listened to every word she said to him. He hung on to all of them, making sure he heard every single syllable properly. "You have no idea how much I've been looking forward to today, I don't think I even slept last night. It's like Christmas when I get to be with you." Robbie said, blushing slightly. Well, that was still there, wasn't it. Robbie definitely wanted to go for a walk with her, but where would they go? Robbie felt her move away before she asked if he wanted to go for a walk, and frowned softly. He realised that she had only moved a little bit. Which was alright, because she was still close enough to him for him to continue to hold her in his arms, and that was what Robbie wanted the most right now. He wanted her to stay close to him forever. "Yeah, I want to go for a walk with you. Definitely." He said, taking her hand in his and starting to walk around across the grounds. He didn't know where they would end up but he didn't necessarily care either, as long as he was with her.

Laura was usually a confident girl, she knew what she could and couldn't do. She was sure of herself, most of the time. But when she was around Robbie it was different, she felt exposed and vulnerable, usually, this would make her uncomfortable, but it didn't. Not in the slightest. It wasn't just because Robbie was her first crush or because she trusted him so much, it was everything to do with him that made her the way she was right now. Laura admired this very much, when she was with him, she was a completely different person and she wasn't scared about it at all. "It's the same with you, but I was really nervous when I was waiting for you to arrive." Laura said, blushing in the same way Robbie was, she wasn't embarrassed she just reacted differently about everything when she was around him. Sure, she liked him a heck of a lot and it was a shame they weren't an item. Laura did have optimism that it would change very soon, but alas these things can't be predicted and no matter how many times Laura would analyse every possible situation in her head, it would always turn out different in real life.

As the young Ravenclaw noticed Robbie frown a little, it brought on a slight feeling of anxiety along with it. This feeling dissolved away when Robbie agreed to walk with her however, and when he took her hand, she couldn't help but blush even more than she was before. "This is nice." Laura stated casually, while she and her first crush strolled around hand in hand, and truly, Laura thought it was pleasant. There was nothing that could disturb her when she was with Robbie. She was just enjoying the calm atmosphere they were in. It was like they were in their own world together, a world where nothing bad would and ever could happen. Laura smiled as she squeezed Robbie's hand while looking out into the distance, Laura was so comforted by Robbie's presence, she didn't even notice that the few other students that were nearby were staring at them. Usually this wouldn't affect Laura very much but that day, she didn't even know they were there. Laura continued to smile and live in the moment, nothing was going to ruin it.

Robbie couldn't understand why anybody could be nervous just while they were waiting for him. It wasn't like he was anything special, he was just him. A shy little kid who was just that.. shy. The one and only person in the world that he could be himself around in the world was Laura, and he could never thank her enough for that because she gave him the strength to just be himself. To not care what anybody else thought of him and to just live his own life. He didn't know what would become of him and Laura in the future, but he knew that he would never want to lose her as a part of his life. Robbie knew that the moment he lost Laura, would be the moment that he started to fall into his old habits all over again. "You don't need to be nervous, it's only me after all." Robbie knew that she would argue, but she wouldn't change his mind no matter what she did. Robbie would enjoy today, just like every day that he was with Laura. He loved her, and he could admit that to the world, and he wouldn't care what anyone said to him. It was true, and nobody would ever be able to change that fact. "Yes, it is definitely nice." Robbie said, smiling brightly.

The atmosphere of this morning was great, Laura was so at peace with the environment around her, there was nothing stressful about it. It was just her and Robbie, it was Laura and her first love. It was the only thing in the world Laura wanted right now, to be near Robbie whenever she could. Laura nodded at Robbie, and squeezed his hand gently, before she stopped dead in her tracks. Laura paused and looked at her feet, she continued to look down, her foot scuffing the dirt and said, "Hey Robbie..." in a kind tone, her calm words drifting away as she started to zone out yet again, this was a good thing, it meant she was at ease, a nice place for a teenager to be in, especially when her first love was with her. Laura then kissed Robbie, only once, gently on the lips, even she surprised herself. Laura had just had her first kiss ever, something different she would be able to think about to pass the seemingly never ending time she had. As Laura moved away from Robbie, she bit her lip and chuckled quietly as she looked down at her feet again, she didn't want this to turn into a habit. The Ravenclaw blushed behind her brunette hair as she anticipated what Robbie's reaction might be.

Whatever Robbie had been expecting from Laura today, it was not that. In no way was it what she had just done. He didn't even know what he was going to do in response to that. At the moment he was sort of frozen is place. He couldn't do anything because all he could think about at the moment was Laura and that kiss. Robbie managed to lift his head up, using his hand to bring hers up to look into his eyes. That was the first time anyone had ever kissed him and he had loved it. It was just such a nice feeling and he couldn't get over the fact that it had been Laura who had been the one to do it. He didn't think that he would have ever been able to kiss Laura, he wasn't the type of person who would ever be able to make the first move. He didn't know what she would want him to do in return. Robbie just squeezed Laura's hand, placing them around his neck and moving his head back towards hers for a deeper kiss.

Never mind how stereotypical this moment was, the music in which Laura had her first kiss was totally in it's own genre, it was something she couldn't describe, the moments were that of poetry, but somehow, even one of the greatest poets couldn't begin to delve on it. Laura moved her lips away from Robbie's and rested her forehead on his. She chuckled almost inaudibly and whispered "I guess you have to be my boyfriend now." Before she swiftly kissed him again, she was in awe of everything around her and what was happening, she was living for the moment right now, not the future and not the past, just this moment. There was nothing she could do to get herself out of it and she liked that. Laura had actually managed to turn her brain off, and instead of having multiple thoughts in her mind, she only had one, and that was Robbie, it was all she could focus on and she loved how calm she was. Robbie changed who Laura was when she was around him, she wasn't such a Ravenclaw she was easygoing and she wasn't calculating everything that was happening.
