A note from the Admin (read first):
This is a major plot. As such, you must PM an Admin for permission to join (whether you're a Death Eater or not). Permission will be granted in most, if not all, cases but you must request permission to be given your role in this plot!
That having been said there were rules outlined for this plot to even take place, they are as follows:
1-Nobody gets hurt.
2-Death Eaters cannot wreak havoc upon the town, it's a mournful assembly - not a vengeful one.
3-No students would be there and therefore they should not RP that they are.
4-Fair bit of Ministry buzz afterward
If you don't adhere to the above/deviate from it all without getting permission from the Admins to do so, your post will be removed and the plot will continue without your character being a part of it.

Thorine stood at the beginning of the Obsidian Harbour entrance she was flanked on all sides by her DE brethren. She had recently returned from England where she had buried one of the most formidable of the Old School DE members, her grandfather Antonin Dolohov. They were here now as a mark of respect to the old man, the great man who had fought in both great wizarding wars. He had spent the remainder of his life in Azkaban, withering away in body and spirit. Thorine wore her DE mask though she would have rather have revealed her face but this way the paltry humans, the lower wizards and witches would know who was walking amongst them and fear them. She lifted the hood of her long black robe which had been recently hemmed with the Dolohov family crest and motto - Loyalty until Death. She had returned and gone directly to Julian Faulkner, asking for some mark of respect for her grandfather and this was it. They would march on Obsidian Harbour with the Dark Mark overhead and Morgana help those who got in their way.

She looked first to her left and nodded her head, she then turned to her right and nodded once more. Outstretching her hand she pointed her wand to the dark mark and uttered the incantation to summon the Dark mark in the sky overhead. She looked up and saluted with her wand.

"For the life and death of Antonin Dolohov" she said clearly and loudly, an echoing exalted shout of 'Dolohov' rang out up and down the line of Death Eaters. She was proud to walk amongst them, she had not expected so many to show up and was grateful, yes grateful that they had come to pay their respects to her grandfather. Once the mark was floating above them and they had saluted her grandfather she took the first step and in unison they all followed behind her. A synchronised rabble of deadly destructive wizards....

Elizabeth smiled widely under her mask. She used to own a shop here, but gave it up when she and Jonathan went back to their darker roots. They were not married, but they had been together in the past as a couple, and met up again while they were shopkeepers here in Obsidian.

She had not personally known Dolohov, but was happy to help honor the man's memory. He was an original Death Eater, under the Dark Lord, and was truely someone to be honored and reveered. She shouted "Dolohov!" with her compatriots before begining the assult on the street. Elizabeth marched along behind the others, her wand out and ready. She was not sure what to expect from the townspeople, but she was not taking any chances of somone trying to cast a spell at her unawares. She was glad for the mask covering her face. She was not ready to reveal to the whole world just what she was doing with her life these days, but she was ready for some fun.

Asparuh along the side of Thorine Dolohov. Today was the day that he would honor a dear comrade, one that he knew personally. A well-respected man of course. Asparuh, wearing his own unique mask, smirked a devilish smirk, one that could barely be seen from the mask. His black soulless eyes peered out from under his mask as well. He flicked out his wand, one of great power of course. He gazed up at the mark, and saluted. Asparuh took a step forward, right side Thorine, but also slightly behind her as well. He respected Thorine, for she proved herself to be a loyal Death Eater indeed. She was made for it, it seemed. A direct descendant of a great man, being her grandfather. Asparuh grew curious about how others would react to a march of deadly wizards and witches alike, all sharing one purpose.

Asparuh personally knew Antonin, and would have felt grief and mourn if he was raised to feel such emotions. Though, he was not, and thus, he just looked serious rather than sad. Asparuh held a flaming torch in his right hand, and raised it once he said, "Dolohov." with the other Death Eaters. Asparuh kept it raised, in honor of one of the original Death Eaters. One that traveled along with himself. Asparuh was perhaps the oldest of the Death Eaters here. Though the way he was moving, one would not suspect so. Asparuh's eyes darted from one area to another, seeing someone here and there. Asparuh murmured darkly, his icy voice cutting the air like a dagger to flesh, "Let the honoring begin. Dear friend, Antonin Dolohov. You will be remembered for all eternity." He did not bother to look at the other Death Eaters, for some he just did not trust or did not know completely just yet. The man moved in a smooth rhythm.

Jonathan was thrilled. He was able to participate in the march on Obsidian and not be in hiding of what he truely was. He adjusted his mask, making sure things were positioned the way they needed to be, and then stole a glance at his girlfriend, Elizabeth, and raised his torch in honor of his fallen comrade. He was not able to count himself amongst the late Death Eater's friends, but was happy to have been able to work with him on various occasions.

He walked along, chosing to remain silent in his reverence. He thrust his torch harmlessly at a few shop windows as they passed, not actually touching any. He liked the idea of processing in the town and mentally torturing a few people. Watching the faces of people that were litterally frightened made him happier than anything, well, happier than almost anything. Stealing a glance over at Elizabeth, he grinned behind his mask, thinking about later on this evening provided every one made it back safely.

Although he did know the Dolohov man whom they were all gathering in honor of, Ioan knew that it would not do for him to miss such a gathering of his fellow Death Eaters, especially since he was still in training. Adjusting his mask, Ioan raised his hand when everyone else did, uttering the name "Dolohov" as if he had known the man. If he had been a Death Eater like them, he must have been a great man.

In unison, the group began a march, and Ioan followed with his wand at the ready. He was proud to be part of the group and hoped that all who witnessed it would be frightened at the large number of Death Eaters who had gathered.

Tristan was in a catatonic state as he stood with his love and the rest of his comrades. It felt wonderful to be at their side. She had asked him to join and he could only comply. This was his place, where he truly belonged. Making sure that the mask covered his face completely, he moved forward mindlessly. His steps were fluid and carefree. The Death Eater was more than happy to honor one of their fallen members. He spoke the man's name in unison with the rest of them. Oddly he couldn't remember the man. Had he ever been privileged to meet him? That didn't matter now. He only had eyes for the woman he loved, his son Christian and those about him, his true brethren. A torch crackled in his hand, burning for all that they stood for as he marched. The mudbloods would reassume their rightful place.

Making sure her mask was in correct placement, Evangeline joined her fellow Death Eaters in the mourning of Antonin Dolohov. Evan had never met the man, not many of these Death Eaters, but she felt she should honor one of the original members. She raised her torch and said, "Dolohov!" in remembrance of the fallen man. Some faces she recognized, but only from walking around town and meetings. Still, she walked with them and made this a spectacle that Dolohov would have to love.

Nastasia had been wandering through one of the stores having a fine time for herself, the material here in the magical world was beautiful compared to many that she would otherwise find in the muggle world. As she stepped out into the street, she heard audible gasps from people quite literally huddled in the doorway. Her attention focused on where they were looking and she too gasped.

Large and vulgar in the sky hovered the ghastly dark mark, a sight that no one had seen in years. Her heart hammered loudly in her chest, though she was a pureblood she was also a squib and powerless against the long line of Death Eaters that were moving down through Obsidian. She didn't understand why they were doing this now but turned to the couple behind her.
"Send for the ministry would you" she told them as she began to move further along the street away from the oncoming parade of DE. She had never before seen any of them, had only ever seen drawings in books but now seeing them up close like this with their dark cloaks and vicious looking masks, Nastasia knew true horror and fear for the first time in her life.

Fatima was off her duty today and was just relaxing in Florean Fortescue buying some ice cream in an ice cream cone. She was outside of the said shop when she heard screaming, people running and everything. Fatima frowned at the people's behavior, what are they up to now? she thought to herself.

She walked down further into the streets when she saw mass of Death Eaters marching in the streets. Fatima's heart pump faster, she slowly took out her parchment and self writing quill to record what happen here. She couldn't tell who are the persons because of their masked faces.

Adrian murmured Antonin Dolohov when everyone else did. Looking around, Adrian eyed up the surroundings, noticing the likes of Zhefarovich and Drage nearby. All of a sudden, memories flooded back. They were the ones of his encounter with Chris, the man he refused to call Father. He did not want the memories flushing back at this moment... in fact he wouldn't want them to return at all but he knew that would never happen. They would return some time, but Adrian needed them to go away... now. Adrian muttered to himself. No, get back, not now, not ever Adrian cursed, looking forward noticing civilians arrive looking worried. A devlish smiled appeared on his face but no one else could see it due to the mask. Adrian was ready... for anything or anyone that got in his way. Taking a deep breath, Adrian swallowed and turned his gaze to the Dark Mark which was signalling in the sky. Adrian wondered when people especially the Aurors would arrive.

Edward Stanton left the key to his room on the counter of the Leaky Cauldron, having paid the night before. He'd only just arrived back in New Zealand from personal matters. His jaw clenched and he wearily scrubbed a hand across his face, feeling the stubble prick his fingers. He wasn't exactly presentable but was better than nothing. Figured he should at least report in to Anderson, he could be needed for duty.

Outside the sun was high overhead and a bit glaring. Grimacing he checked his pocketwatch for the time. He wasn't even sure if Anderson would be in the office. "Damn." He shook the time piece and put it to his ear. Groaning he put it back in his pocket. Spying a man sitting at one of the few strategically placed tables outside an eating establishment he approached him. His face was mostly in shadows and he didn't recognize him.

He grinned and held his hands loosely at his sides. "Sorry to bother you but do you have the time?"

Julian had arrived in Obsidian Harbor, noting that it was a beautiful spring day. He was eager to watch his colleagues engage in the festivities. He had told them that he would be standing by, but they wouldn't know who or where he was. The man had taken position at a cafe, dressed in the attire of any normal ministry official. Stirring his tea leisurely, he looked up as a man approached his table.

His lips contorting into a weak smile, he replied, "It's no bother at all." He glanced at his wristwatch and held it out for the man to see. "It appears to be almost five o' clock."

The normally cloaked man felt as if he were missing a part of him as his eyes darted down the street, where his colleagues had shown up en masse. It took everything he had not to grin in victory. "Oh dear," he commented, fright slipping into his features. Julian had had much experience with acting, and was confident in his portrayal of an innocent bystander.

Edward followed the strangers petrified stare and whirled around. "Ah sh1t." He took a defensive, low key position and threw out his wand hand to send out the distress signal to his superior, Scott Anderson. With luck he'd dispatch backup there within moments. He was heavily outnumbered. His grey eyes scanned the crowd. Thankfully the streets were mostly bare as most were in the shops. "Sir, you need to go for cover," he turned back to the man who'd given him the time.

Esmerelda Smickett was weary the last few days had been a basic nightmare. First the finding of Patrick's body and returning the cremated remains to his family in Ireland and then to go and tell Andromeda the news. That had indeed been the hard part, after finally getting a chance to purchase a new uniform for her Esmerelda walked from Gladrags only to see people pointing behind her and looking shocked and terrified. She had seen faces like that before, a long time ago back in Scotland when the great wizarding wars were being fought.

Turning slowly she reeled backwards bumping into someone when she saw the dark mark in the sky and beneath it a crowd of Death Eaters walking as bold as brass in full regalia through Obsidian.
"How dare you!" she shouted at them, "Hiding behind your masks, cowards. That's all you lot ever were a bunch of cowards. Take off your masks and let us see who you all really are".

She didn't care if she heckled them, she had done her own fair share of fighting during the wars and had lost many good friends. Esmerelda may have been a heavy set woman and of average height, but she was a formidable witch and would not for the life of her back down from this lot. Just who did they think they were? Movement from the corner of her eye made her turn aside only to see Nastasia attempting to walk further along the road, fear masking her beautiful features.
"Dear Merlin and all that is blessed what is the world coming to" she would have to get over to Nastasia somehow, the woman was a squib and completely unable to protect herself.

A hint of a smile decorated Julian's lips as the man turned around. He noticed how the other ever so slightly threw his hand out. Auror. Or some sort of Ministry official. This was going to get interesting. Julian decided to take the man's advice, and within a moment he had vanished out of sight.

Edward threw a quick glance behind him. The table was empty, the man was gone. Feeling oddly disturbed yet relieved a bystander had taken his advice he turned his full attention to the massive amount of Death Eaters. He could hear a name being chanted by the group. Dolohov. He'd read his name in Auror Training and in the history books. Suddenly it hit him. This was some form of-of-memorial service. He straightened up, wand still at the ready, but let them pass. They weren't throwing any hexes or seeming to be aware of anyone on the streets heckling them.

He followed slowly down the street, waiting for arrival of the rest of the Aurors. This had to be the oddest home coming Edward had had yet.

Sullerie was seated behind her large oak wood desk in her Daily Prophet office, staring out of the large window ahead of her, looking for inspiration. She was hoping to have her first article printed as soon as possible, so she had to find something interesting to write it on. Everything going on at the moment had been already written about, and Sullerie was becoming tired of thinking. Her eyes became heavy and she must have drifted off into sleep for a good half an hour, as her eyes flew open and her head sprung up off her desk instantly as a loud noise could be heard from the streets of Obsidian below.
Getting off her chair, Sullerie hurried over to her window, wondering what was going on. As she seen what was happening, her eyes lit up and a wide grin appeared on her face. Something told her that this was the story she'd been waiting for!
Grabbing her cloak, a pad of parchment, a quill and an ink bottle, she hurried out of her office, rushing into the main one. There she told her boss what was going on. The boss informed her that no other reporter had stopped in to claim the story there's, and that she may take it.
Grinning like a five year old on Christmas morning, Sullerie stepped out onto the streets of Obsidian.
She could see the crowd of Death Eaters parading on the street just across from the one she was currently standing on. The Dark Mark hovering above them all sent a shiver down her spine, but she quickly flung on her cloak and slunk into the darkness of a side alley, the one separating the Magical Menagerie and Ollivander's. Hopefully, she could jump between shaded side alleys without being seen, and witness and write about the event without actually being a part of it!
After a few second, Sullerie realized what they were all shouting. Dolohov, Dolohov! That's when she remembered what she had read in the papers a few weeks before, one of the old Death Eaters who she had been hearing about for as long as she could remember, Antonin Dolohov, had passed away. So that's what there here for, she thought, a memorial service!

Thorine walked proud and tall, finally she had Tristan beside her where his rightful place was and not sequestered off with some disgusting muggle. The potion had worked a charm though at times he did act like some one completely drugged, with time hopefully that effect of the potion would wear off and he would only be consumed by his love for her and their son.

She listened as her brethren chanted her grandfathers name, her eyes darted fleetingly to an old woman bellowing at them like some common fool at the side of the road. Let her bellow away, what was she going to do challenge the very best and finest Death Eaters the world now had to offer.

Thorine chose to ignore the paltry witch though part of her itched to use her powers to muddle her mind a little. But no, today was about Antonin her grandfather. She took out her wands and holding them in her hands so the stupid old buffoon could see Thorine held them down at her sides, green sparks trailing a path after her.

Mark walked alongside his Death Eater breatheren, proud to be amongst their ranks. He had been keeping a low profile of late, as he had needed to return to Germany, for his beloved grandmother, Ava Schwarz, had passed away. It had come as a great shock and disappointment to Mark and his youngest sister, Clara. Ava had been the matriach of the Schwarz family, and while the family members around her perished, she stayed strong and kept the family going. She had been the guardian of Mark, Gretchen and Clara since Clara was a baby. She was nineteen now. And only Mark and Clara had been there for her in her final days.
As a last gift, Mark had told his grandmother what it was he really did. She had taken that secret to the grave, never prouder of her oldest grandchild than she was at that very moment. Ava Schwarz had never been a Death Eater, but she had always supported their ideologies. Even though their family was not pureblood, they were of a reasonable bloodline. After all, there were no real pureblood families anymore. At least they weren't mudbloods.
"Dolohov," he called, alongside his fellow Death Eaters. Like he, Thorine Dolohov had lost a beloved grandparent. Of course, Antonin Dolohov was of high importance to the Death Eaters, whereas Ava Schwarz had no real connection or importance to the Death Eaters, Mark understood what it felt like to want to honour a fallen family member.
However, other people began to appear. Bystanders, mostly, but he was on his guard. His mask was firmly in place, which was a good thing. He did not want to see the Aurors at all, especially one in particular. Martine. He had no doubt in his mind that she would have been accepted as an Auror, as she was disgustingly brilliant. After all, he'd seen her at the office, and she was on the first floor. Magical Law Enforcement. That was where the Aurors worked. Mark did not want to be caught at all, but somehow it would be worse if his cousin was the one to catch him. Considering she was one of the few family members he had left, and one of the few he had a cordial relationship with.

Brunhilde had stopped to buy some groceries after she had checked out of work. The day had proved completely boring thus far. Though when were her days ever exciting? An obese bag of groceries threatened to slip out of her clutch as she started to make her way home quite awkwardly.

Her head turned as a chorus of voices reached her ears. Eyes widening, she didn't react as the bag finally gave way and spilled all over the pavement. It wasn't the first time that it had happened, but she wasn't rushing to pick it up either. She was momentarily glued to where she stood as her eyes scanned the dark mass blocking the way home. A group of what were unmistakably Death Eaters marched along the Harbor. An audible groan slipped out past her lips.

She didn't know what the intent of the group was, but she knew enough that she didn't want to be in their path. They didn't seem to be causing any chaos. As her apartment was directly behind them she had no choice but to turn back from where she had come. Her eyes scanned the different shops, although she wasn't convinced that any of them would be a safe refuge.

Terror had inched itself like a precise and articulate little knife into her mind. She had been a tiny second year during the Battle of Hogwarts, and she remembered it vividly. After that incident she had wanted to transfer to Beauxbatons, but her father wouldn't hear of it. She had thought that the Death Eaters were some stupid little cult that her equally stupid older brothers had joined and left. Now seeing them here and in such numbers, she was forced to think again.

Glad that she had worn a decent piece of shoes today, she walked down the street as fast as she could, away from the group. She turned to see someone that she recognized. Without even thinking about it, she bellowed, "Nastasia!" The woman that she was calling to was a squib and was probably ten times as frightened as she was. And that was saying something.

Jacqueline smirked behind her mask as her dark cloak blew in the wind. Jac was proud to be a part of this funeral march. Antonin Dolohov was a great and powerful man. SHe held her wand out in front of her as a challenge to the bystanders around her. She was not afraid of anyone they might encounter. They were a powerful and large group united together. Plus Jac now had Raziel to protect her. She did feel slightly guilty about not telling him of this march but it was not intended as a threat. Jacqueline marched on chanting the Dolohov name.

Fatima continue to speak silently while her self writing quill did the writing, she noticed that the group of death eaters are making huge. She stopped speaking and ran out her wand on her waist, Fatima don't want to fire a spell but if something happen she'll do it.

The marching was in front of her now, Fatima gulp and started to spoke again. She looked at the parchment, all the details was there that she needed for this story.

Sullerie whipped out her pad and quill as more Death Eaters arrived. She would have used a quick quotes quill, but she had to speak rather loud for it to pick up her voice, and she didn't want to disrupt what was happening or draw attention to herself, the Death Eaters might not want anyone reporting the event after all.
As she scribbled away furiously, she kept one eye on the Death Eaters, moving slightly so she could see them all.
They were all masked, so she couldn't tell who they were, but there were two at the very front, leading them all, she guessed one was Antonin's granddaughter, Thorine. Looking up from her notes, she scanned the area. In amongst the scared faces of passers by, she spotted the familar figure of Fatima Alfred, another Daily Prophet reporter. "You have got to be kidding me" she mumbled under her breath. She knew Fatima hadn't been in the offices that day and guessed it must have been her day off. Fatima was also taking notes for a potential report.
Sullerie let out a sigh, if she didn't get this story, who knew when she would get another! Just work your hardest and write the best article you can manage, it's all you can do, after that just hope for the best, she told herself, bowing her head again and continuing to write. She was only taking rough notes at the moment, but she would sort it all out when she got back to her office.

Nastasia turned her head as she heard her name being called out. She was convinced you could see the yellow streak coursing up and down her spine at that moment. What good was she in this kind of instance? What could she do other than make a break for it? As she turned it was to see Brunhilde, an immense sigh of relief escaped her.
"graziare lo Merlin" she muttered, 'thank Merlin'.

Nastasia waved to her friend but was at this point too terrified to move to her, soon the Death Eaters would be passing directly infront of her. She could only turn to look at the ghastly people in their disgusting cloaks getting closer with every second.

Maeve had been to visit the midwife just off of Obsidian harbour, getting the news which she had already suspected that she was pregnant again. The witch even foretold twins though Maeve had scoffed at this, she was roughly only seven weeks gone in her pregnancy so of course it was way too soon to say. Then again the woman had been right about Luthor. She looked down at her son in his stroller, a very old fashioned one that apparently had been Luxen's when he was a toddler. Martha had insisted on it being used.

Maeve for the sake of peace and given in. Her son played with a silver snake that his father had given him. It was almost as if they could talk with one another. As she walked out onto Obsidian Maeve came to a complete stop, just ahead of her was a long line of Death Eaters wearing their black robes and masks and overhead the dark mark. She gasped and stepped back pulling the stroller back with her. Reaching inside her cloak, Maeve pulled out her wand just incase it was needed. There was no way any Death Eaters were going to harm her son.
