Mark Stone stood leaning on the railing's which separated the pathway from the beach. Since leaving Hogwarts he had been coming here when ever he was free. Being single meant that he had a lot of free time on his hands. It was scary how much extra time he had now that he didn't have to worry about studying or anything like that, although he was starting to get a thing for that Beauxbatons girl he had recently met, Amelia. She was a nice girl who he would have to see again. Apparently he had a weakness for French girls. Then again it wasn't surprised. He had had a year long relationship with a French girl so it was something that grew on him. It would have been awkward if he didn't like the accent. But Mark wasn't one to pick so pettily, he liked all girls if they were nice and not the typical girls who loved themselves too much and thought they were better than everyone else. That was a certain turn off.

The teenage Veela squinted as the sun got in to his eye, he looked away and watched as a woman walked with a young child who wanted to go on the beach but she had other idea's. He could remember when he was a young boy, not that he had had a particularly nice up bringing but he had had some good times, mostly with Riley but still it was better than nothing. Now he was living his his much loved cousin and little brother, He straitened out his T-shirt out and stood up strait, his back was starting to ache from the leaning. He didn't know what to do with himself right now, he was slightly lost.

Kadi walked slowly through the harbor, careful not to bump in to anybody else passing by. She had recently finished school and was now not sure what to do with herself. Her mother said that she could help out in the shop as a job but that wasn't for her. Kadi wanted to do something a bit more exciting but it was money at the end of the day, money that she needed. She sighed lightly to herself as she walked, her mind else where. Well else where until she caught sight of a boy stood by the railings of the beach. The brunette stopped in her tracks to look at th boy, he was the most beautiful person she had ever seen in her life. Everything about him seemed perfect, from the clothes he was wearing right down to the color of his hair. Before she could stop herself Kadi was already walking up to him with a smile on her pretty face. "Hi there." She said happily, unable to think of anything else to say to him. Just being close to him was making her heart bound in her chest and making her forget about how to talk properly

The soft wind blew gently through his thick golden brown hair as it passed by. It was a chilly wind which was common around here because of the water. Although Mark never really felt the weather, like his cousin he could wear a T-shirt in the winter and still be perfectly comfortable in it. He ran his hand through his hair to put it back in place again when he heard a girls voice next to him. He turned his head to look at her with his brown eyes. He didn't recognise her, she was pretty though he would give her that and she looked around his age, maybe older or younger by a year. He wasn't sure guessing ages was not his strong suit. Still he did not want to seem rude, even if she may only be talking to him because he stood out from everyone else because of his looks. "Hey." He answered, a little unsure of what to say to a complete stranger who had just walked strait up to him as if she knew him. "Do I know you?" He asked hoping he had not met her before and now forgotten, he was usually so good at remembering faces but hers did not ring a bell.

Kadi could not help but giggled as he acknowledged her and spoke. Even his voice was just too perfect for her. She felt like she was in a dream as someone this good looking could not be real. She played with a strand of her dark hair as he said hey to her. Biting her lip to stop herself from giggling again. She shook her head. "Oh no. I just thought you looked like you needed some company." He said in a girly manner. She had thought that he looked like he needed company, her company to be precise. She wanted to be the person to get his attention, no one else.

Mark watched the girl as she began to play with her hair. He felt a little awkward as he did not know this girl and she seemed like she was in to him. He knew it was probably only because of his looks but still, it didn't make him feel any less awkward about this situation. She was still a stranger who would probably try and jump his bones if he let her, which he wasn't he was saving himself for someone special who certainly was not some stranger. "Ah right I see, because that is such a good reason to talk to someone." He said to her, unsure of how to reaction or how to even reply to her comment. "Thanks I guess." He said scratching the back of his neck awkwardly as he replied. Her sentence should have gone, I came over here because your so good looking and i want to get in to bed with you. At least then it would have been more like the truth and less of a chat up line.

Kadi was oblivious of his obvious discomfort towards her behavior. Her concentration was more on his features and his voice than anything else. His general perfection was captivating in her eyes. "I know right. I don't like to see someone upset or lonely. Especially not when they are as good looking as you are." She flirted as she smiled widely, showing off her pearly white teeth. To an average non Veela boy she would have seemed beautiful but now compared to this boy she felt really plain. But that would not stop her trying to win him over to her side. "Your welcome. Maybe you could repay me by letting me get you a drink." She said suggestively to him. Maybe if she got him a little drunk she could have more of a chance. Or is they got talking maybe she could get him to like her. It was strange how her thoughts were only on him now and she had forgotten what ever it was that she had previously been thinking about

Mark could have sighed in frustration at the girls next comment. Looks like she could not recognise sarcasm when it was right there in front of her face. He really didn't want to be rude and tell her to go away but he didn't want her to keep bothering him when all he wanted was to be alone for a while. Maybe he could put her off a little. "Oh you know I would love to get a drink with you but im actually waiting for my girl friend. Its our one year anniversary and im taking her out for dinner." He said trying to put her off. Of course he had no girl friend to speak of, unfortunately, but that did not mean he couldn't say he did. Besides if all went well with Amy then he could have a girl friend soon but he didn't want to rush anything, bad things happened to him when he rushed. He knew that fact all too well from past experiences which he did not want to repeat again. He wondered if this girl was still in school or if she lived near him. If she did then he was in trouble but he had not seen her near his house so he didn't have to worry too much.

Kadi put her weight on one leg and bit her lip in a flirty kind of way to get his full attentions on her. She knew how to flirt perfectly but it was just the boy being so close that made her forget about herself. When he mentioned his girl friend Kadi shrugged her small shoulder, it didn't bother her. "Oh well in that case il stay here with you until she arrives." She said with a smile on her delicate pale face. "I'm Kadi by the way. Just in case you wanted to know." The brunette told him wondering if he had a nice name

Mark tried to not take any notice of her bodily flirting. Although being a boy off his age it was hard to not take a little notice. After all she was pretty, not as pretty as his half veela target though. He sighed when she said she could stay until his hypothetical girl friend turned up. This could be a long wait. He would just have to think of another plan to do to get her away from him. When she told him her name he sighed again, now he would have to give away his name to her. "Im Mark." He said before looking away and turning his attention back to the water. Maybe he could bore her in to leaving, he just had to think of a way to bore her. Maybe if he ignored her or only answer her questions then she could leave.

Kadi giggled as he told her his name. It sounded like a really strong sort of name and she could tell just by looking at him that he was very well built. She wondered how good his six pack would be. She bit her lip and shook her head as she noticed the silence which had fallen between the pair. Leaning on the railings and following his gaze over the water. "Its really peaceful here. I used to come here when i was younger to calm down. At night there are not that many people here." He said flicking her hair over her shoulder as she listened to the sound of the water

Mark felt a little sting of annoyance pass through him as he heard her giggle. He always found giggling as something which a child would, not a adult. Maybe it was just a girl thing. When she mentioned the Harbor he couldn't help but notice the change in tone. Finally not aimed at him, but at something he felt the same about. "Yeah it is. I come here too if i want to get away. Its high tide at night and the sound of the water hitting the wall is surprisingly calming and it helps me to think." He said to her feeling a little more comfortable talking to her in this frame of mind, when he wasn't self conscious of her obvious flirting
