Kamaria Zhefarovich was walking along the sides of the cobblestone, and everything seemed to be going fine. Except for the fact that the man that managed to get her in bed last year was not exactly what she wanted to happen, but it did, and now because of it, she did not necessarily regret it, but the man she has not seen again, and she was left where she stood. Now at least she was hating the Aurors, thinking that they were wrong with taking her mother away when she clearly needed some help. It was not something that she wanted to go through, but it happened regardless. Kara was a changed woman, and right now she was finished with her NEWTs because they were the most important to her, but now she didn't have anything else to do. What was Kara going to do with her life now? Kara did not have many friends because she isolated herself, and Leviathan was in a bad mood over dumping Ariah even though they were going to be married, though that should change anytime. Sometimes she thought that if she had been in an arranged marriage, then she would not have to worry about the males screwing her over but she vowed to not do that again unless she was in a steady relationship. Right now, her outfit was a little revealing especially with her shirt, but she did not really care. She was wearing what was comfortable to her, and she was on her way to sit on a bench, but her silver eyes were glued to her book. Kara was doing some reading, and would try to learn the language of Russian since she didn't have anything else planned. She was a fresh graduate, and she would miss being Head Girl, Prefect, and playing Quidditch. She would miss the professors that had been there for the past several years. Kara thought that having all of her grades was going to help her with the emptiness but it did not.

The former Head Girl brushed her blonde locks over her shoulder as her silvery eyes looked down at the book. She smiled lightly, thinking that she was learning how to say 'Hello' in Russian, but she knew better than to practice here and now. The former Ravenclaw still had nothing but books on her. She looked like a cold statue with her eyes buried into the books. She definitely did not look like someone that now hated the Aurors for what they were worth. What she was hoping for was her family coming along and bringing her home, but then again, she was an adult. She was out of school, and free to do what she wanted. She wanted to look for new houses so that she could move out, but her dad put the foot down on that one. She'd have to wait until she had a job. Kara let out a sigh and she continued to mentally observe what she was wanting to learn in front of her. Being graduated was not a dream. So far, Kara was not liking it a bit.

Rurik inspected the dull edged of the object he was holding carefully. He was doing anything he could to drown out the voices of his friends bickering about the lack of food and drinks they had. They were always hungry and they always wanted to drink so Rurik figured that they would never be fully satisfied no regardless of whether they had food right now or not. They were idiots sometimes. But Rurik needed their company so over time he learned to deal with idiotic behavior. They've been his 'sidekicks' for years. In some ways the group was viewed as a gang. They roamed the streets without parents, getting onto anyone they came across. Rurik wasn't really the thug of the group so much as he was the brains. No, the other three were the ones that actually took the things, or picked fights with, or attacked the poor unsuspecting people they came across. Rurik liked being with his friends more than he liked being cared for by his father. He didn't hate his father or anything. He just didn't appreciate the kind soul he was. Rurik believed that his father needed to live up to his family name and be more into the Dark Arts or dark magic. It was a bit agitating to think of his father being a muggle appreciator or something. "Can you three keep it down a little bit?" Rurik asked as he turned his gold eyes onto the his friends. They seemed to be getting louder and louder. They were risking the chances of getting caught by someone. Rurik didn't want to risk that. Not when he had too much fun breaking the rules. Although the three quieted down, Rurik wished they would be even quieter because he swore he heard footsteps coming this way. Clearing his throat he got the attention of the others and motioned for them to pay attention. They obliged by being quiet and watching as Rurik peered over the side of the building. He could see the figure of a person, or rather a woman walking this way. That didn't seem to be a very smart thing to do did it? Rurik turned and gave his friends a strong look, signaling that they should probably leave this one be. He didn't really like to bother young woman for money or whatever possessions they kept on them. The strong look must not have phased them though because one by one they all Apparated down there. Or perhaps the darkness played tricks on them and they didn't see the look he had given them. Either way, they were idiots. That poor girl was really going to love being harassed by a bunch of idiots. Rurik didn't really want to bother helping her out but he also didn't want to get into trouble. So in the end he too Apparated down there, but not for the same reason his idiot friends did.

"Guys, leave the girl alone. We have better things to do tonight. I mean it." Rurik muttered. They seemed to be trying to coax her into giving them money or her purse. Frankly he would suggest that she give them a punch in the face or something. "Sorry about that....my friends are stupid." Rurik crossed his arms over his chest and motioned with his head for his friends to get going. But they remained standing there. They actually looked confused. They were not being used to being told no by Rurik. Especially when it came down to them getting money from strangers.

With silver eyes drowning into her books of Russian, Kara practically tuned out the rest of the world. However the fates had something else in mind, something to throw into her direction. Though she herself was turning from the light and aligning herself with the Dark Arts, she was not fully there yet. All she needed was a little push and gravity would take care of the rest. A steady drop into insanity and swirling into the world of Dark Arts and other fun things just like that. It would be what everyone in the family wanted the pure-blood to do, and she was willing to give it her all. Words kept pouring into her mind, and she was remembering everything that she could before she would be able to pass for a fluent speaker of Russian. It was really helping her along, though she could not help but remember the failed attempt of the Patronus charm during her NEWT. She had yet to master it, but she couldn't make an animal from it. But maybe that was because she did not have a powerful enough memory to make it into an animal, and it was frustrating. She was once Head Girl, she should be able to master everything. She was supposed the best. In her mind, she was the best but she did not know how it was that she could not even cast the stupid charm. However her ears were picking up on something that she did not think that she would have heard coming toward her. Kara thought that it was nothing to really worry about so she continued on to read in her books. Apparating sounds, and her silver eyes dared to look up, and from the bench where she was sitting, and there were three guys hovering over her. Just by eyeing them, she could tell that the three could probably be Gryffindors with the way that they were behaving. Her eyes narrowed ever so slightly, and she wished that she had not come out today if she was just going to be bothered by a couple of idiots. If she wanted to be interrupted, she would have just stayed at home where her brother would bother her. They seemed to want her to give them her money and purse, but she looked to the side, and she doubted that they would want her purse. It was full of inks and quills, with some sliced apples as well.

Kara had plenty of galleons on her but she was not going to give these boys her money. She definitely did not have a reason to. Letting out a sigh, her silence was her answer to them, but there was her answer to them. The look out of her eyes was signaling that she meant business. Her hair might be blonde, but the cliche thoughts of blondes were very untrue to her. Kara did not do anything, but when another boy came down and told them to leave her alone, her silver eyes lightened and she looked at the boy with golden eyes. They reminded her of the Potions professor, er former Potions professor, and also of Kalif's wife, Nicolette. Were golden eyes somehow getting more and more common? She did not mind though. She closed her book, and she set her book to the side. She did not move from the bench either, but at least she was not reading in front of them. Kara smiled gently before she murmured, "I appreciate you saving them from being cursed." She quickly used her magic to get all her books and stuff into her messenger bag, and she carried her purse and bag over her shoulder. She stood to her full height, but she ensured that her hands were near her two wands. "I'm Kamaria Zhefarovich by the way, stranger." At least now when she said her name, she had a strong sense of pride, something that was never there before.

Rurik was ready to leave girl be. He never really liked to bother with people he didn't know or had to get to know. This was among the non-important to him. While she seemed young, he could tell she was in her late teen's at least. Rurik was only a few steps away when the girl introduced herself. Immediately a round of snickers erupted form his friends. They thought it was hilarious that the girl introduced herself to him. He wasn't exactly sure why they thought it was funny though. Perhaps it was because most people were smart enough to leave trouble be when they saw it. But no, this girl must be seeking it out. Rurik turned again, his golden eyes gleaming in the moonlight as he let them fall upon her again. Oh boy. Tonight was just going to be one of those nights wasn't it? Sighing Rurik turned his body around to fully face the girl. He didn't look all that pleased but he didn't look pissed either. He was more or less just wondering what int he world this girl was doing. "Okay, on normal circumstances, any girl that we nearly almost mugged or killed would be running for her life. Whether she was scared or not. Yet you remain. I don't know whether to consider you dumb...or bold." His friends laughed again and Rurik rolled his eyes. His eyes were piercing in the night. Rurik remembered being told by his father once that the Hensel's who had gold eyes were abnormal because they weren't born with it. They were experimented on and the gold eyes were a result of that. Now the gene was being passed down and Rurik was sure it would never be rid of by this point. Rurik didn't care though. It wasn't a big deal to him either way. The last name Zhefarovich sounded familiar. But only because he was pretty sure that family had something to do with his aunt Nicolette. At least he thought so. Rurik tried to avoid Nicolette as much as possible. Her temper was a little bit scary to deal with when she was upset. So Rurik just left her be. Hopefully Kamaria wasn't here on his aunt's behalf. She didn't look like she would be. But it was hard to tell these days. Everyone was just so shady. Rurik crossed his arms over his chest and continued to stare at the girl silently. Why was she still standing there? Rurik didn't like almost being belittled by a girl. It reminded him of the fights he had with his sister. She was evil too. Perhaps his sister and Nicolette should get together sometime.

"If I say it's nice to meet you, will you go away? You're kind of creeping me out." Rurik scoffed. Offering a deal. Maybe he should've let his friends mug her. He wasn't getting soft was he? Oh goodness if he was he would never be able to live it down. He was the leader of a gang, he left home when he was only seventeen years old. Sometime he came by to say hi to his father, but that was awhile ago. He was twenty-four, he didn't have time to get into this kind of trouble. At least she was pretty. For a kid anyways. It didn't hurt his eyes to look at her. Nor did she cry her eyes out. So he could've done worse. But he was still kind of creeped out that she was here and didn't seem to desire leaving anytime soon. Rurik wondered if she was going to leave at all or if she was going to stay here and try to get him to tell her his name.

Kamaria looked over at the other boys, and wondered if there was something funny about her name. If anything, her last name should be recognizable, with the way she was raised, she believed that they were practically legendary, however that was only somewhat true around Bulgaria. Kara still itched to get out both of her wands and protect herself. Since she was once the president of the Student Defence Association at Hogwarts New Zealand, she knew how to handle her own. Though she was getting slightly nervous with being outnumbered because she did not know if she would be outmatched or not. The way she saw it, she was here studying and she was being bothered. She was not about to be scared away by a couple of boys that seemed like all they needed was to get laid. Kara smirked lightly when the boy said that under normal circumstances, any girl would have been running for her life. She looked at the boys and then back to the one with golden eyes. Killed? They didn't really look like killers in her opinion, and most of her family were made from killers. Kara simply narrowed her eyes and she stated, "Bold." She was definitely not scared right now, but more or less confused. "Are you guys compensating for something, since you were about to attempt to mug a girl with nothing but books in her bag." Kara looked toward the boy with golden eyes, almost daring to answer that question. She was standing her ground, and was not about to let a couple of gangsters push her around. Kara let out a sigh and she placed her hands on her hips, looking as strong as she could. Perhaps she was a sucker for a 'knight in shining armor' but perhaps she could be her own. Save herself and whatnot. It was a good idea, to her anyway.

The more she observed the eye color, the more she was reminded of Professor Hensel over at the school. It was a little unnerving, and almost made her wish that she had never come out here. She didn't know what to expect from the Hensel's, but she knew what to expect from Nicolette. Kara started to tap her finger against her hip, and she still appeared to be this strong person, even if she just wanted to leave right about now. It would avoid unwanted drama. But if she started to take orders now, when would they even stop? She listened to her father, but she didn't like to listen to Leviathan even though he had told her many times, that it was dangerous to go around at night. What was there to be afraid of? She knew Death Eaters and things like that. Kara laughed softly and her eyes went to the ground. She was creeping him out? Now that was hilarious. Kara repeated, "I am creeping you out? Huh. Well, I'm sorry, but I am not leaving this bench until I am ready to go home. Feel free to leave if you wish." She set her bag of books down on the bench and she sat down, showing all intentions of staying. She was simply stubborn. She looked up before she finished, "And if you are going to stick around, I guess I'll have to call you 'Hensel' because of how much you look like someone I know." Kara waited to see what they were going to do. She still had access to both wands, so she was fully prepared. Even if she did not feel like fighting off boys, if she could that is. They looked quite a bit older than her, so it had her somewhat worried.

"Rurik's definitely not. He's just an ass." Tyler called from the corner when the young girl accused them all of compensating. Rurik grew annoyed at this because he hated it when his friends found it okay to talk about his more personal life. Yes he got more girls than they did. No, he didn't mean he was making up for something else lacking. But she was a girl, he didn't expect her to know or care about any of his issues. He didn't really care about any of her issues either. Girls had a lot of problems anyways. If he bothered to focus on all of it he would likely drive himself mad within minute's. Girls thought too much about everything. Their hair, their looks, their body, the way they spoke, what was going on. How did they function with that much thought still going on? Shrugging his shoulders he stared at Kamaria with a sureness in his eyes that there was more to it than that. He was a bad kid. He knew that much. He liked seeing others be miserable, and he liked seeing others suffer at his hands. It was all something he had developed after the loss of his mother. He had some problems. He didn't want to really discuss them with a complete stranger though. Especially not one that was as aggravating as she was. "Think what you want to think, only we know true reasons." It was easy to see that she was young and stupid. He was almost twenty-five years old and he was used to grown up manners and ways. She seemed barely out of school. How was she to know how to act? Rurik figured that sooner or later, she would know very well what this meant. When she was older and had more experience dealing with people like him.

"Suit yourself then, child." Rurik shrugged his shoulders. She could stay. Right now Rurik had no interest in leaving but if she got too annoying he would turn and leave without further question or comments. Rurik mused in his head on whether he should tell her she was acting like a child or not. What was she, six? Rurik was not used to dealing with young girls like her. He normally just ignored them and robbed them of all the money he could. "Hensel, hm? What's their name?" So she knew the Hensel's? Did she know Nicolette, or Thomas, or her father? He knew it had to be one of those three because they were the only living three old enough to know her. Nadia and Arin were both too young and living in the midst of Russia to know anyone like her. If she knew the Hensel's then how did it slip past her that she was related to him? Rurik saw the guys smirk and him and he shook his head before he crossed his arms over his chest and sighed. God was this a pain in the ass!

Kamaria looked up when the boy in the corner announced that Rurik was not compensating. That made her wonder if that man was gay or something, and seen someone named Rurik. Whichever one reacted, and it turned out to be the one acting like a leader. Kara was very calculating, but she said nothing. Some things were just better left unsaid, so she naturally assumed the wrong thing, which was, the leader was not straight. Or the other person was not, which could explain why the one she figured as a Hensel be annoyed right now. Either way, whatever the leader was packing, Kara did not want to test that theory. Last thing she wanted right now while she was attempting to get some relaxation out of the way was some naked man on the streets. It is not very attractive at all. Her eyes leveled with the Hensel's eyes, and there may be something in there that she recognized. Perhaps a similar darkness that lurked in the eyes of a Zhefarovich. It was then when she started to feel not so safe, but she refused on letting a male overpower her. If one looked deep enough, they would be able to tell that even she held some wickedness within. Kara shrugged, "I would assume that only you all would know the true reasons. If you did not, that would be too reckless, and you do not seem the type." If something were to happen to her anyhow, she had family lurking around every corner. Kara was very safe, in her mind at least.

The former Head Girl shrugged and she looked down at her lap before she opened her bag, reached in and retrieved her mystery book. Kara set the book in her lap, but she was unsure if she was going to be able to study with the gang of moronic men in front of her. She looked up at the boy that she assumed to be Rurik and she stated, "Professor Nicolas Hensel and Nicolette Styx. She used to be a Hensel before she married Kalif." And then there were Nicolette's children, but they were not officially Hensel's but she didn't want to go into more details than she wanted to. Her eyes went down to the book before she opened it, and looked down at the pages. It looked just like nonsense to her. There was another Hensel she knew about, but she did not know him personally. He was the Deputy Minister for Magic. But she did not feel the need to mention it. Everyone around here knew of Thomas Hensel. And if he was a relative, he would know about it too. Kara looked back up at the boys before she noticed that they were smirking about something. Kara remained silent for the moment, doubting that the boys were going to try anything for now.

Rurik shrugged. Him being reckless was somewhat of a touchy subject. He could be at times but he wasn't usually. It was normally when he got angry that things started to get out of control. Most of the time he was stuck babysitting his idiot friends and making sure that they didn't cause too many problems. He shrugged his shoulders and stuffed his hands into the pockets of his jeans. "I can be." He didn't know why he was explaining this to a little girl practically. Well not little. But young enough to be around his sister's age. Girls that young were incredibly easy to convince of anything. Hopefully this one would smarten up and get away from him while she still had the chance. There was nothing too interesting about Rurik anyways. Or at least, he thought so. His family was relatively boring in his eyes. His dad could be funny sometimes, and his aunt was pretty foul-tempered. But other than that none of them were too interesting. Not even Thomas whom was nothing merely more than a Ministry rat hating everything not like himself. "I doubt you're really that curious about these reasons. Even if you weren't....I wouldn't tell you. You see, you appear not much older than eighteen or so. Such matters are not really appropriate for someone your age." Well she was actually within age. But he still felt like the things his friends were referring to, was not something she needed to hear. It would be rude and weird all at the same time. He almost wanted to tell her to run along. But he figured that would upset her or something. So he kept his mouth shut. Rurik was a little bit older than his friends. By a couple of years. Often times he was asked by older women, or by his father when he was going to settle down. Rurik found that funny because they knew better than to ask him that. He was not the type to settle down easily. He liked his freedom. He liked having to worry for only himself. The more he worried about others the more sad or stressed he felt about things. Like what happened to his father when he was a kid. It bothered Rurik too much to think about it.

"Nicolas is my dad. I have no idea how you know him though. Nicolette is...unfortunately my aunt. I have no idea who Kalif is but boy do I feel sorry for him." Rurik rolled his eyes softly and shook his head. "Let me guess. It was the eyes that gave it away." It was always the eyes that gave it away. They were unusual. But Nicolas was curious on how she knew who his dad was. Nicolette was an easy one. She married someone named Kalif, whom the girl must know. But it does not explain how she knew the man he had come to look up to before he actually grew up. Nicolas wasn't looking for him again? Rurik tried to establish to the man that he was an adult and didn't need to be looked out for by anyone. Nicolas was remarried again wasn't he? Why didn't he focus on his wife for now and not Rurik for a change? Rurik figured that if she knew Nicolas and if she knew Nicolette, then chances were that she knew Thomas too. He was likely the most famous of them all, and at the same time, the most irritating.

Kamaria raised an eyebrow in a curious and amused manner. So, apparently he could reckless. However she had yet to see that, but she didn't really know as of yet. Then again, she doubted that she would see tale of this man again, even if she wanted to. Kara didn't think that her dad would even let her outside of the house when she was getting as developed as she was. She was a tall, attractive and had a sense of sexual attraction to her, but she never showed it, or dwelt on it, based on what it could do. Kara shrugged, "If you say so. I wouldn't know. I can't read minds." Kara knew the rights that she had, and she would do what she pleased, whenever she wanted to. Until her dad came by, then she had to obey his rules. There was no fighting against that muscular man. She didn't stand a chance against him. Kara turned her silvery eyes to the others, before she looked at Rurik. She wondered if there was anything she had said to give out if she was curious about his reasons. Kara pursed her lips together in thought, before she laughed softly, especially when he said that such matters were not really appropriate for someone her age. She wasn't twelve. "I'm not curious about your reasons at all. Though never judge a person by their looks. After all, if one looked back in history, the Dark Lord himself was a handsome young man that was heavily into the Dark Arts by my age. It was when it was too late before the world was thrown into chaos." Kara then felt like she was suddenly too intelligent for her own good. "But really, don't fret, your reasons are private." Kara truly did not want to make the boys speak. She did not care what their reasons were. If they tried to do anything to her, then they would see what type of fight she had within.

When Rurik said that Nicolas was his dad, and Nicolette was his aunt, she knew what type of relations that they had now. It made sense, he kind of looked like Nicolas in a way. Kara debated on if she should tell him how closely related that they were, by marriage of course. Letting out a sigh, she adjusted her position on the bench before she said, "Nicolas is...or was rather, my Potions professor when I went to school. Nicolette is married to my half-uncle. Although seeing her husband, I kind of feel bad for her. Kalif is quite mean. But they have been together for years, and fight more than Gryffindor and Slytherin." Kara didn't know which had it worse though, Kalif or Nicolette. Both seemed to be rather...mean. Then he stated that it was the eyes that gave it away. Of course it was, not everyone had golden eyes like that, eyes that one could melt into. Kara nodded and she confirmed, "Yep. Not everyone has those golden eyes. Only family I know of though." Though she had no idea how in the world Professor Nicolas Hensel had children. He didn't look that old at all. She didn't know anything else on Nicolas. She just knew the relations that they were. Kara figured that the father of Rurik may be older than he appeared, which made her a little uneasy because she thought that he was just so dreamy to look at. It did not occur to him when it came down to thinking of those that were in the Ministry. However she would find out about Thomas Hensel soon enough.

"Neither can I." Rurik would like the ability to be able to read minds though. It would give him so many answers to the things he didn't know. Like the answers to tests, or whether or not someone was a friend or a foe. But Rurik also suspected that horrible things would come into play if he could read minds. There are some things out there in the world that were better off not being known. At least in Rurik's opinion that was the case. The golden-eyed man smirked after he said his comment. "I'll be honest though, I'm getting kind of old so I know one of these days I need to learn to be less reckless, y'know?" Rurik started as he looked over his shoulder at his friends. Rurik almost laughed at what the young girl said to him about the dark lord and all. She was a clever one. But it was also quite funny because she used an example that he probably never would have thought of, but at the same times it worked. Rurik ran his calloused fingers through the prickled stubble on his chin and breathed heavily to keep from laughing. "You have a point. I'd tell you but, well these two idiots back here would probably die from embarrassment. I can't do that to them. Yet." Rurik heard one of them clear their throats from behind him and he smirked. He loved giving his friends hell whenever he could. They were stupid sometimes. It made it ten times more fun for him knowing that he was doing this to them in front of a pretty girl too. They likely didn't appreciate that sort of thing. Rurik was going to keep at it too. Just to see them squirm like creepy crawlers.

"Ew. My father was you're Professor? You poor kid. Nicolette, is understandable. As hard as it is to believe, she's actually calmed down a LOT. She was once a hundred times worse. It looks like she has finally found someone to keep up with her attitude though." Rurik tried to avoid Nicolette as much as possible. Just by the way he shifted from foot to foot, he wondered if it was obvious enough to the girl. His aunt could be a real terror when she wanted to be. Even to someone to like Rurik. His father likely seemed to receive greatest cruelty from her. Rurik breathed out and rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. He felt awkward with someone mentioning his eyes since he hated them so much more than he often confessed. "I hate my eyes sometimes. They look abnormal." Not to mention they were a lot easier to see in the dark than most other eyes. Rurik hated being noticed by others unless he wanted to be noticed by them. A Cat-like gleam left his eyes and he almost willed them shut. He hated having abnormally colored eyes. They looked too unusual for him to feel confident in.

At least this boy was not a Legilimens, seeing as Kamaria did not want him lurking around through her mind. It was private, and she noted that down. But she could not help but think of Nicolette when she looked at this man. Nicolette was this gorgeous woman, had the dream life. Sort of. Kara did not know everything, but the woman was with her soulmate, had children and a family, was pure-blood and an Animagus on top of that. Nothing Kara could have hoped to accomplish. Kara narrowed her eyes upon Rurik when he said that he was getting kind of old, and he would have to learn to be less reckless. Kara had to disagree with that one. "I doubt you are in your fifties yet. Just have some fun, no need to be in a hurry. Trust me, settling down young isn't entirely...enjoyable." Her brother was being forced to do that before he could go around the world, because he had to have a baby within a year. Kara might have wanted what he had, but she did not think that she would be able to have children so soon, not until she was done with enjoying her youth. With Rurik's next statement, her silvery eyes looked over to the other two, and looked like they were not very comfortable with that threat, since there was that little word hanging out there 'yet'. "That would be kind of funny, if they had died...from embarrassment. Probably give us a pleasant show," Kara murmured into the night, her lips curling into a smirk. She was much darker than she let on. She was just good at hiding it, much like her father was, but she was a woman, and could mask it even more.

Kara shrugged once when he had repeated what she told him, and she simply nodded. She did not mind, she made an Outstanding in the class. Kara noticed how his demeanor had changed somewhat when Nicolette was brought up, and how she used to be worse. Worse... Kara wondered if he was speaking about her bubbliness and how it had faded away, or how mean she could be. Kara sighed, "Well, your dad isn't that bad of a professor. But Nicolette, she has kids to take care of. I think that's the ultimate thing to calm someone down. That and having Kalif as a husband." Kara didn't even want to know what that was like. It was highly interesting when he said that he hated his eyes. Kara narrowed her own, and she wondered if she should tell him something abnormal about her own, how they could turn black. However she had something else in mind. Kara shrugged, "Could be worse. You could have ended up with pink eyes, or purple, something immensely girly. Golden eyes are pretty cool. Mine are like silver in the light, and when I get mad, they turn black. So remember, it could be worse, and nothing a little Transfiguration can't fix." If one could change their hair color, surely their eye color as well.

Even though Rurik heard Kamaria say that she doubted he was in his fifties, he struggled to keep his calm while thinking about it. He never wanted to think about being old and elderly. In his opinion he was already pretty damn old. With each and every year he got older too. His birthday was in late April, so soon he'd be aging again. "Don't remind me. I'm twenty-four already. Which is still pretty old in my opinion." In April he would be halfway to fifty. That was kind of scary in his opinion. But he had no intention of settling down and getting his life started yet either. Right now he didn't think he'd be a good husband. He was too young to be that kind of person yet. So he had no interesting in really even trying to settle down. "You sound as if you know that settling down young isn't a good idea from experience or something." Rurik stated. He wondered if she tried to get married at her age. Maybe she had a friend that went through that sort of experience. Rurik crossed his arms over his chest and let his golden eyes observe Kamaria closely. They were still strangers to one another so he made sure to observe her carefully. He felt like he needed to get to know her better before he trusted her fully. Rurik was really nervous and cautious about people. They sort of scared him when they were unpredictable. Rurik had to be able to read a person easily or he constantly worried about their actions and what they could or couldn't do to him. "It would be funny yes. But I kind of need them. So I'd appreciate it if they didn't die...just yet." Rurik sort of laughed halfway through his statement. His friends were idiots at times. But they were his friends. Until Rurik found other friends to associate with he would glad stick with the ones he currently had. Especially since he hated being completely alone. He glanced at his friends who were a bit aways in the distance and snorted. They could be such idiots. But they were his idiots. Surely even Kamaria understood the power of attachment. It was strong when it was stressed. Rurik had known his friends for years. He wasn't going to give this up easily. Not without a fight at least.

"No but he is one pain in the ass of a father. My father has spoken of Kalif before. He doesn't seem to like his very much. Nicolette has settled down a lot since I've last seen her. But she still...well she's crazy if you ask me." Rurik rolled his eyes. His family drove him nuts. They could cause a lot of problems when they wanted to. Particularly Nicolette. When Rurik was younger he remember his father and his aunt arguing a lot. They treated one another like crap and even physically fought. Rurik couldn't remember what they fought about for the life of him. But he did know that it was a pretty serious deal going on. It might have had to do something with Rurik's mother too. Not that Rurik really cared or anything. He never really cared about his mother. She was a weird woman to begin with. "You have silver and I have gold. How weird is that? Transfiguration is actually what turned my family's eyes like this. We used to be gifted with blue eyes. But some man did something weird to one of our ancestor's eyes and well, we've sported gold ever since." Rurik heard it was a curse once. An experiment gone wrong. But he wasn't too sure of the details, and he doubted anyone would really tell him the details either. They were secretive of the past and what horrible things happened to people back then. Rurik was grateful for that. At least he didn't have to listen.

Needless to say, Kamaria was intrigued by the man in front of her. Rurik seemed to be one of those that had a fear of aging. She had a grandfather that was a great-grandfather that looked young to some extent still. Wizards and witches had it lucky. Kara herself had some issues with aging, she always seemed to look older when she was younger, with her tall figure and height, but she seemed to look her age now. "Your opinion has been noted, but it does not make it true. My father looks young, so do not worry about a thing. Just stay out of the sun." The sun often caused wrinkles, perhaps the man would take her word of advice. He was young still, and he had a long life ahead of him. There was no point in spending it afraid of getting old. That was simply a silly thought. Her silver eyes looked down before she nodded, "My older brother was in an arranged marriage, and he is forced to marry before he turns nineteen, and have a kid before he is twenty before having fun like someone normal." She wanted to have some fun, experience some tastes of life before she got older. Kara moved her hair over her shoulder, and she shrugged as she thought about her brother. At least he was in love though, she did not even have that. She thought that she was with someone at one point, but no, she was a foolish child. Perhaps all he wanted from her, all he wanted was sex. Kara smiled when she heard those words come from Rurik's mouth. Especially the last two words. Just yet. For his friends' sake and Rurik's, Kara made sure that her wands were out of sight, though they were still in reach in case the boys were to try to do something. "Fine, I suppose they can live for the time being anyway." Even idiots needed to live. After all they were needed to entertain those that had intelligence. It was something that she had, and she used it quite often. Even her arguments had her father confused with the points that she made. It was obvious to the former Head Girl that Rurik seemed to be attached to the friends, even the fun that they could have. Though robbing some young women was not in any fun at all. Going to clubs could be a lot better.

"I don't think that Kalif likes anyone that much at all. I suppose most dads can be a royal pain in the ass. Mine is still controlling, and I graduated. Nicolette is somewhat nuts, but she belongs in my type of family," shrugged the pure-blood as she thought of Nicolette being back into the Dark Arts and a Death Eater. Kara admired it quite a bit. The Dark Arts was nice, and she appreciated the ones that were into it. Kara thought about getting into it herself, but she had changed her mind long ago. She would not torture or kill if she wanted to, she would only if she had to and there was no other choice. Kara could only be pushed to that. Kara looked down at the ground, hiding a small laugh that managed to escape her lips. He had gold and she had silver, the precious of metals. That was a very interesting observation, and the fact that he might even remember her eye color. "That is pretty cool, but gold is worth so much more than silver. However silver is harder, and cannot be bent." She paused for a moment, before silver met with gold once more. "Hm, I wonder if there is a way to reverse it. Could be possible, but someone would need to know what caused it. Although, they are intriguing and interesting as is." It reminded her of a vicious type of feline, one that would strike out at the enemy, one that would protect the territory when came necessary.

Rurik blinked. What did the sun have to do with people looking young or not. Unless she was referring to the sun giving people wrinkles or something. If that was the case then she must have been a lot younger than he thought. Didn’t she know that he was a wizard? Oh the things magic could do these days. ”That’s a pretty good trait to have. But I’m not worried about ever looking old. Magic can do wonders sometimes. If you know how to use it properly.” Rurik had no idea if there was a spell that allowed him to live forever or not, well ones other than the infamous Horcrux. Rurik refused to make one of those. He wasn’t against killing if he had to or anything, but he didn’t really enjoy the thought of doing all that needed to be done to be kept alive. He also had no idea if there was a spell that would keep one looking young forever either. He would likely have to check into that. Rurik listened in carefully as Kamaria told about her brother and his arranged marriage to some girl. Rurik barely knew her brother but he did feel bad for the poor guy. Being forced to marry someone didn’t sound like a good time. Especially if the girl in question was a farm animal or something. By farm animal Rurik meant that the girl could be positively dreadful. Ugly, boring, shapeless, and to top the cake she could be a mudblood. Imagine if that sort of thing was going to be the sort of person a guy had to marry. Rurik nearly shuddered at the thought of it. ”Is your brother unhappy?” Rurik felt like he should ask. If the guy was actually happy it shouldn’t matter if it was arranged or not. Rurik wondered what the girl from the arranged marriage was like. If she was pretty or ugly. Or weird. Any of it was possible. Rurik smirked when she said she would allow his friends to live for now. They were his buddies. He wouldn’t know what to do without them. Even if they were a little dumb sometimes.

”He must like Nicolette if he continues to keep her around. If you think she’s nuts now, be glad you didn’t know her when she was younger.” Rurik remembered her as a kid, or at least hearing stories about her. For years he didn’t know he even had an aunt that was alive. Turns out he had an aunt, uncle, and cousins to boot. It was like a whole different set of family came out of nowhere. If she was related to the man that Nicolette married, did that make them related or something? If so then this was an even more awkward meeting than it was originally planned to be. He could have mugged a possible relative or something. Rurik glanced down at the street. Comparing gold to silver was an interesting take. ”While gold is more valuable and considered to be stronger, that also produces arrogance. And arrogance can be a deadly thing.” Rurik explained. He knew his eyes were nothing to be proud of. ”I don’t there is much of a way to reverse it actually. Even if we knew what caused it. The genetic trait has been spread down through generations too much. So even if we did fix one person, who’s to say we could fix all of it?” Rurik stated. His father had those eyes, he had those eyes, Nicolette and her children had them. Same with their father. It’s been spread through three generations. There was no stopping it now. Rurik liked his eyes though. They made him different in different ways than most would expect.

Kara then felt somewhat foolish when she was reminded that magic could do wonders. A light hue of red dusted itself upon her cheeks. How could a pure-blood like herself have to think of muggle ways? It was near shameful. In fact, she was ashamed that she had taken Muggle Studies, and then even liked the class. However her thoughts have changed. "I would have to agree. Magic can fix just about everyone's problems," mused Kara with a thoughtful expression, attempting to hide the fact that she was thinking of muggle things, in case he could very well read her mind. She would have had a lot to explain for anyhow. She did not want to ever appear older, but she was young, and she relished in it. It was her eyes that made her seem wise beyond her years. The projection that she managed to give out through her eyes was nothing short of wisdom and iciness. That was what she loved to do, and she was not about to change anything about herself. When Rurik asked if her brother was unhappy, she thought over her brother. As grumpy as he was throughout his life, when he met Ariah, it seemed like everything was all right. "My brother is a pure-blood supremest, and he is happy with Ariah in his life. It was rare, but they are marrying for pure-blood purity, and love." Kara loved Ariah with all of her heart, just like any sister would. She was amazing, fun and she would give Kara a brand new niece or nephew to spoil. Kara wanted to have babies one day, but not anytime soon. She wanted to have as much fun as humanly possible. Even if her dad did not approve for the time being. She would deal with it though. Kara looked over at his friends, and she could tell that they were not the brightest in the bunch. She was not surprised. However their ring leader was, and boy was he handsome too. For now she would simply look, and not touch. It was not like she was ever going to see them again after this. Kara did smile a bit at the smirk he gave to her.

"He does. I heard that she can't even have male friends at all. He gets really jealous. Yeah, it might not be that fun either to meet her when she was younger." Kara didn't really want to know what the Death Eater was like as a child. She could imagine that they were not the best ever. Or the best behaved little kids. Kara could not imagine. She nodded at the explanation of the gold, and how it created arrogance. She shrugged and pointed out, "Sometimes, women likes a little bit of arrogance. It might be deadly, but it could be awarding, if you used it right." After all, she loved it when a man knew what he wanted, and was a little arrogant. It was cute, but overly so, and it was obnoxious. She didn't know how to fix genes, but she doubted that it could be done. Not anything permanent unless there was some sort of experimental laboratory. Which she did not have nor would she ever. "I understand. But I should be going. Remember my name, perhaps we can meet up again. Perhaps without your friends wanting to mug me." She smiled once more at him, before she looked at his friends, and walked right by them. Her hips swayed as she walked before she vanished with a pop as she apparated to her home, where she was sure that her father was looking for her. She could not wait to get a place of her own one day.
